He Tells A Story

Mist's POV





"I better get going for the show," Niall mutters before walking away.


I watch him go. All I want to do is run to him, embrace him in my arms and feel his lips on mine.

But I know that I can't do that. I know that that's not an option. I know that I can't let him back into my life. I just can't go through everything again. He's hurt me too much.

"That was amazing!" Emma laughs as she joins us again, breaking me from my thoughts.

I give her a small smile and look back down at the envelope in my hand.

With a sigh, I fold it in two parts and push it in my purse.


"What is that?" Josh asks, pointing to the envelope in my purse.

"I'll tell you later," I shrug as I take Yaden from his arms.








The day passed slowly and I actually had fun with everyone. Except for my thoughts going to the envelope in my purse every few minutes.

Once the One Direction show started, we left. It was hard to convince Emma to leave, but with Josh and Emma yelling at each other and making a scene, it worked.

"What do you feel like doing tomorrow?" Josh asks as I put my sleeping blue eyed boy in his crib.

Josh didn't ask about the envelope again, I guess he forgot. But the envelope is stuck in my mind.

"I plan on having a lazy day," I shrug as I walk out of the room.

Emma is sitting on the sofa going through the TV channels. It's clear that she's still upset with us for making her leave Disneyworld before the show, but she wouldn't understand. And I don't want her to know all of the details.

"Is it fine if I go? I'll be back tomorrow morning?" Josh asks as he pulls my body to his by my waist.

"Sure," I smile up at him.

He leans down and slowly presses his lips to mine.

"Break it up," Lilly boredly mutters as she enters the kitchen.

Josh chuckles and kisses my temple before walking to the sofa.

"Bye Lilly," he shouts. "Let's go Em,"

She nods her head and stands up. She waves at me and Lilly then follows Josh out of the hotel room.

"She's pissed," Lilly laughs once the door is closed behind them.

"I know," I sit down on a chair in the kitchen. "Lilly, can I talk to you about something?" I pat the chair next to me.


She nods and takes the seat. "What's up?"

"Niall gave me an envelope today," I sigh.

"Really? What's in it?" She asks as she leans closer, clearly interested in what I have to say.


"A custody sue," I shake my head.

A gasp leaves her mouth. "What?"


"Yeah," I shrug. "Like, I could have expected it, I guess. But he can't take him from me,"


"Tell the judge that. Tell them what he wanted you to do," she encourages me.


"Lilly, Niall is super famous!" I throw my hands in the air. "He's definitely going to win the case," I sigh.


"Well, call him and talk it through with him." She offers me a smile.

"I don't have his number," I lay my face on the table as I mutter the words to her.


"He's in the same hotel as us,"

She's right.

I jump to my feet. "Will you watch Yaden? He's sleeping in my room?" I ask as I walk to the door.

"Sure," she smiles. "But babe, please keep your phone with you,"


I nod at her and step out of the hotel room.
