He Tells A Story

Mist's POV



Monday morning's are always the worst. And what makes this day far more worse; is that I have to fly back home with a sick baby and a puppy. I yawn as I take Yaden's medication before making my way back to my room. By the time I enter my room; Yaden is already sitting up on my bed.

"Mummy," he holds his hands out for me to pick him up. I offer him a smile as I walk over to him with his bottles of syrup.


"You have to drink this before we leave baby," I tell him as I open the first bottle.

"What dat?" He asks, pointing to the bottle I'm holding.


"Nana's," I smile at him. His face lights up at the word and he leans forward to taste it. I chuckle and pour some syrup into a baby spoon. The thick, pink syrup floods into the spoon before I put the bottle on the counter next to the other two. Yaden opens his mouth for me to put the spoon in and I enter it into his tiny mouth. He closes his mouth with the baby spoon in a swallows it; a frown following soon after. I giggle at him and reach for the second bottle.


"Good morning," an Irish voice enters the room. I turn around and smile at Niall. "How's my big boy doing?" He asks as he walks over to Yaden. "He looks better," Niall notices. I nod at him and open the bottle. "I can do that, you can make sure you have everything packed. You leave in a few minutes if I'm correct?"

"Yes you're correct," I smile at Niall as I hand him the bottle and baby spoon. "Shouldn't you be at a concert?" I question him.


"I should be getting ready for one," he shrugs. "But I just wanted to say goodbye to my son and you," she smiles as he pours syrup into the baby spoon. I collect Yaden's baby bag and my handbag then take them to the living room. I leave them next to my suitcase before getting the baby blue pet case to put Blackie in. Blackie runs over to me, barking as he runs. I smile as I bend down to pet the small animal. I've never been fond of a house pet; but I know that Niall only meant well by it. And the animal is cute, so why not? I pick Blackie up and push his small body into the case before zipping it up. Once it's zipped up, I walk over to Lilly's room to check if she's ready, but I guess not; because she's laying on her bed with Harry on top of her as they share a steamy make out session.

"Guys, come on," I gag. Lilly giggles before she stands up. They mutter soft 'sorry's' then Harry helps her carry her suitcase to the living room. I walk over to my room after Lilly and Harry left her's and take my phone from my coffee table. "Give me your number," I tell Niall as I hold my phone out for him. He closes up the last bottle of Yaden's syrup and takes my phone from me. "Are you ready baby?" I ask Yaden.


"Whewe to?" He frowns at me.

"We're going home baby," I bend down and kiss his temple before scooping him up in my arms. He snuggles into my chest just as Niall's phone goes off. Niall hands me my phone and pulls his phone from his pocket. He holds the camera towards Yaden and I before a flash goes off. "What was that for?" I frown at him.


"I want to have a photo of the two most beautiful people on earth before they disappear for a few days," he winks at me with a cheeky grin. I roll my eyes and walk out of the room with Niall on my heels. I have to admit; I'm stressed out about seeing Niall's parents again.

"Are we ready to go?" Lilly asks as we enter the living room. I give her a nod and walk to my bags.


"I'll get that for you," Niall's voice hums from behind me. I allow him; knowing that I can't carry them with Yaden in my arms. Lilly locks the hotel room after we all stepped out and Niall and Harry walk us out.


We all exchanged goodbye's, Lilly and Harry took a bit longer due to their tongues having a slimy conversation. Niall kissed both Yaden and I on the temple and hugged me for a full minute with Yaden between our bodies. After a soft "I'll always love you," from Niall, Lilly, Yaden and I jumped into our taxi. The drive to the airport, the flight, and the drive back to my house, felt like it passed in only a few minutes. Surprisingly, Yaden wasn't that hard to handle on the plane ride. Once we made it back home, my phone rang immediately.


"Hello?" I answer as I try to balance Yaden in my left arm and carry Blackie to the living room in his pet case.

"Just making sure you're safe," I hear Niall's voice. I find myself smiling at his voice as I open Blackie's case. The poor dog must be tired of his small case. Yaden motions for me to put him down once he sees Blackie and I gladly do so.


"Well that's sweet of you," I tell him as I walk over to the kitchen.

"Have a good day, Mist. And I meant what I said," he tells me. I frown at his words and take a water from the fridge.

"What did you say?" I question.


"That I'll always love you. You are the mother of my son, and you have always been the one for me," I fall silent as I think of what to reply, but I have nothing. I sigh and walk back to Yaden and Blackie. They were both cuddled up together on the floor.


"I have to go Niall," I tell him as I put my water down on the coffee table and bend down to pick Yaden up.


"I'll see you soon," Niall speaks once more before he cuts the call. I heavily sigh and pick Yaden up. He looks at me with wide eyes and Blackie wakes up. I walk to my room and call for Blackie, who follows happily. I place Yaden on my bed and Blackie joins him. I think about what Niall said once again; I love him too. But I'm still raw because of missing him. And then there's Josh.. I miss him so, so much. I'm too tired to think about all of this, so I plan on taking a nap then I will call Josh. He's back home too. I really want to see him. I look at Yaden and Blackie who are cuddled up together and chuckle before I join them.
