He Tells A Story

Mist's POV




I run into the direction Josh went and frown when I see him sitting on the sofa of my hotel room.


"Josh, can we talk?" My voice is just above a whisper as I take a seat next to him.

He places his head in his hands. "I actually really like you, Mist," he looks up at me and I make no mistake to notice the disappointment in his eyes.

Normally, they would sparkle, but now, now they're just plain dull.

I move closer to him on the sofa and reach for his hands. I braid our fingers together as I smile at him. "And I like you too,"

And I honestly do. Much more than I should.

He leans forward, resting his temple against mine.


"I like your outfit," he mutters in sarcasm, making me laugh.


"Oh yeah?" I move my body closer to his, throwing my legs over his lap as I wrap my arms around his neck.

"I didn't do anything with Niall," I inform him.

He must have thought that we had sex. Well I would think that too, if I had to walk in on two people in a bedroom whilst the girl is half naked.


"Why is he here?" Josh mutters as he pulls me to his chest.


I relax in his arms and draw small circles with my thumb over his hand.

"He came to see Yaden,"

"Are you allowing him in his life now?" Josh asks in a calm voice, but there's still irritation it.

"Well, yes," I shrug. "It can't be that bad,"


"And what about me?" He looks down at me with his piercing eyes. "What about us?"


I gulp at the use of the word 'us'. I didn't know there even was an 'us'. I mean, we nearly know each other. We've spent 3 days together. Well not really, but we met three days ago.


"Mist?" He frowns at me, pulling me from my thoughts.


With a sigh I lean forward and kiss his lips, brushing my lips against his as I speak.


"We are great," I breathe.


To be honest, I don't know if there is an 'us' or if there ever will be. But I know that if I take the time to get to know Josh better, I'll find him the most amazing guy I've ever met. I'm just thanking God that Josh lives in NY too, it would have been a bummer if I never got to see him again.

"Erm, Mist," an Irish voice breaks my moment with Josh and a groan escapes Josh's mouth.

I pull away from Josh's body and stand to my feet.


"Yes?" I turn my focus to Niall.


He glares at Josh but snaps out of it before I get a chance to speak my thoughts about the looks exchanged between them.

"Would you mind if I took Yaden to my room for a while? I just want to get ready for dinner, you know where my room is if you need us?" He asks me. "Please?" A smile pulls up on his face an a sigh escapes my lips.


I probably need someone to keep Yaden busy while I get ready and pack all of our things again and I don't see Lilly anywhere.

"Alright, please don't take too long, and come call me directly if something happens," I lift my eyebrows at him to show him that I'm serious about what I'm saying.


I know that he won't do anything to break my trust right now, but I'm just making sure.


"Thanks," he smiles at me before pulling me into a hug.

I stand awkwardly in his embrace before wrapping my arms around his waist.

After a few seconds, he pulls back and walks to my room.


"Is Yaden going out with Niall today?" Josh's voice makes me jump.

I put my hand over my chest and breathe for air.


"He's taking us out," I inform him.


Before Josh has the chance to say anything else, Niall walks back into the living room with Yaden on his back.

"Bye mummy!" Yaden waves at me.

"Bye baby, be good," I walk over to Niall and Yaden then kiss Yaden's head.


Yaden nods at me and Niall walks to the door.

I never thought the day would come where I actually saw Yaden with Niall, in fact, I never thought I'd actually see Niall again. But all that I know, is that I love seeing them together.


"Just you and Niall?" Josh's voice breaks me from my thoughts.


"And Yaden," I frown at him.

Why is he so worried about me allowing Niall to spend time with Yaden?


Josh sighs and nods his head.


"I'm going to get ready, I'll be out in a few," I smile at Josh before walking to my room for a shower.
