Do I Frighten You? 2

We opened the door to the room that the doctor said that Amelia was in, I was holding Andrew now just because, I wanted to. He was too adorable to miss up. He was getting so big. Heavy too. By time, I think that my arm was numb.

Amelia was playing there, some of the things were off of her, she had some needles still in her arm. I know if I was a doctor, I would keep her company all the time, and not just leave all the time. I would make sure that she is okay, Because that is all I would worry about. I know that she is in stable condition but, that doesn't mean anything. What if something bad was to happen?

I sighed. She looked so peaceful now, there was no frown on her face and she just looked like she was sleeping. Her hair was a mess though.

I looked over at Harry who just looked at her, I could see the pain in his eyes, but it was mostly gone since she is in stable condition. Andrew had his arms reached out for her, I didn't know what to do.

“Mummy.” He said, his arms still out. He missed her. “Mummy.” He said again.

“She is taking a nap right now.” Harry lied.

He kept lying to Andrew but I guess I understand why he is. Andrew doesn't have to have any bad thoughts in his head. I know that he is too young but if he keeps this memory in his head when he gets older. He will know what really happened and he will put all the pieces together. That was how I was.

“She can hear us.” Harry spoke. Moments after. Breaking me out of my small thought.

“Yeah.” I said softly.

“Mommy.” Andrew said once again. “Down.” He said waning to get down.

I had put him down and he walked over to Amelia's hospital bed, and tugged on the white sheet.

“Andrew, no.” Harry spoke and walked over to him, making him remove it. “She can not pick you up right now.” Harry said in the softest tone as he could. But his tone didn't help.

Andrew's bottom lip trembled and he let out a small cry, Harry had hushed he and then picked him up. Andrew tried pulling away, because he wanted to get down. His cry became harder. I sighed.

“I will be right back.” Harry said and then walked out the room with Andrew in his arms.

It was quiet now and everything was just so awkward kind of. If she was awake. I smiled down at her then walked over to her bed. This have been a long time. The room was silent. I looked around the white room at everything that was on the walls. Everything was so clear. Then something interrupted my silence.
