Keeping Isabelle

Nine

“Hello, Isabelle,” Harry said, sitting down at the breakfast table. “Did you sleep well?”

“Yes, thank you,” I said, feeling the awkwardness and tension in the room build up.

“I was thinking we could go into town today, to get you some things?” I gasped. “It's almost Christmas, so I just thought… yeah.”

I dropped my fork onto my plate, biting my lips and letting it go. “I've never celebrated Christmas before. Not that I remember, anyway.” Harry nodded sadly. “I would like that, Harry.”

“Good,” he said smiling. “Are you finished? Go get dressed!”

“Wow,” I sucked in a breath. “Your town is beautiful, Harry.”

“It is, isn't it.” He held onto the wheel of the car. “It's especially in the winter, but summer is my favorite. All the flowers and colors. I love it.”

People of all kinds were on the streets. Children were singing and dancing, playing games and looking into the toy shops' windows. Adults were talking with one another, smiles on their faces.

I sighed, sitting back in my chair. I wished I grew up like this.

“We’re here, Isabelle.” I looked to the right, where Harry'd parked, and saw trees lined up. I looked at Harry confused, as we both got out.

“You take them home,” he explained as he looked through isles of them, “and decorate them.”

“With what?”

“Ornaments, of course! I haven't in a long time, since I've been living by myself, but… it's hard to explain. I'll show you when we get back home.”

“Could I help you two?” A women with a scrunched face and wrinkles asked, walking towards us. “Harry?”

“Adelaide!” Harry said, leaving me and hugging the women. “I haven't seen you in years!”

“Well, you've locked yourself away for so long…” the women looked past Harry at me. “Is this a younger sister of yours? I only know of Gemma, Harold, why haven't you told me?”

“No, no,” I said shyly. “I'm… uh, Isabelle. I'm just staying with Harry for a little while. Then I'll have to leave.”

“Oh, I see,” Adelaide said, looking at Harry.

“What? Can't I have someone over without you accusing me of something?”

Haha, thanks.

@Love_Life3
No, you can't leave completely because you enjoy this and you are very good at it :D We are always learning, and from everyone, every reader, every friend. We all are equal in this ship of fan fiction, because each of us brings something unique. I don't want you to disappear because you have to carry on, and because I'm selfish and I want you here :) <3 xx

Sorry, I just wanted to say that I didn't make the decision on my own. I'm sure you won't get hate…me continuing writing fanfiction isn't important in the 1D Fanfiction community. I love your story, quite possibly the best fanfiction I've read in a long time.
I feel like I'm leaving completely when you talk to me like this. Please don't think I'll disappear.

I'll get hate!

I just said that sometimes we need to step aside to remember where the thrill used to come from. I'm sure you'll be back in no time :) You are lovely and you are my friend, and I just want you to grow as a writer. Love you, babe, and all your stories. Thank you for sticking by me. <3 xx

OMG! I'm getting pretty nervous!
