Undercover Bodyguard

A Weird Love

Trinity's POV
The girl had given in to running and was making her way down an alley on the side of the building my sister lived in. I chased after her and caught her strikingly blonde hair just make its way around the corner. I held my gun in front of me for protection and spoke into the walkie talkie Paul had given me.
"Paul! I found a girl sneaking up behind the van and am in pursuit of her! Get me some protection on the van!" I was running so fast, I almost didn't hear the buzz on the walkie talkie.
"Durrell, you aren't ready for this, you need back up! I'm getting some men on the van but you need some help!" I groaned in response and spoke back into the device. "I'm never going to be able to protection the boys if I don't have the experience. I am not going to lose my job and possibly go to jail because I got people killed! Now, do as I say and get some cover for the van or I quit!" I didn't care if I got fired, I was protecting the five lads with my life. I was cowering behind a corner where the mysterious blonde had disappeared to. I looked around the corner and she was surrounded by fences about seven feet tall leading to neighborhoods. I had trapped her and Paul hadn't responded.
I sighed and decided to step out of the shadows and confront this master of disguise.
"Raise you hands in the air where I can see them!" I yelled across the small distance between us. She turned around and I could see a faint smirk spread across her face. She pulled a shiny object out of the bag she had with her. I recognized it as a gun. I ducked and rolled back over to the corner before she could get a good hit on me. The gun nailed its way into the fence where I had been standing just two point five seconds ago. The static noise if the walkie talkie brought me back to reality and heard Paul's deep, accented voice flow out if the speaker.
"Spoken like a true bodyguard. Okay, if you believe you don't need any help with it, then suit yourself. I still got protection on the way for the boys, but Trinity, if you need help call immediately! Do you hear me? I will not say I told you so if you get yourself killed by going after a random girl for the boys!" I didn't answer him, I didn't need to. I looked back to the alley from the corner and the girl was gone. Okay, this isn't weird at all, I thought. I crept of my hiding spot and slowly made my way down to where the girl had stood, wondering how to get out. I had looked around myself making sure it was okay to get closer. Some object was left lying on the ground near the end of the alleyway. I picked it up and examined the piece of thin paper lying in the palm of my hand.
I flipped it over to the other side and found loopy writing written on it.
"Look up," I mumbled to myself as I read it. Great, this couldn't be good. I lifted my head up slowly to only look at the baby blue sky. This made no sense. Then all of a sudden, my knees became weak underneath me. I found myself slowly making my way to the ground, to the earth. I slumped over and stared blankly at the dirt. I heard footsteps, a few of them, so there was probably about three people around me. Someone had crouched in front of me, lifting my chin up so I could meet there eyes. My vision was beginning to fade and I found myself falling asleep.
"Aw, look at the poor baby. Can't help but just lay there like a welcome mat for a house. And you know what happens to welcome mats?" I felt a pressure in my side as I was kicked and heard the crunch of a bone. This couldn't be happening. I wasn't able to get up because I was paralyzed and I couldn't get a hold of Paul. Paul. I needed help. The kicking continued until I became numb to all feelings. They must have left an hour ago because I could hear multiple footsteps echoing down the walls of the alleyway as they made there way to me. Someone had picked me up and was cradling my against there chest and in there arms. They smelled of cologne that I found soothing and comforting, like my dads. Growing up, my dad and I were very close and he always had this type of cologne on that I could barely remember. I remember walking into his bathroom one day and he was shaving his beard. Shaving cream basically covered his jaw and chin and I laughed. I remember him turning around and me fleeing through the house with him chasing after me. He eventually grabbed me and picked me up and rubbing the shaving cream on my face. That was a good time.
I clung to the persons shirt and nestled my head in their neck.
"Dad?" I questioned. Before they could answer, I drifted off, off into a deep sleep.
