Timing is Everything (Liam Payne)

Ch 2

Week number 2 has begun. I reach over and pull the computer to rest in my lap. I find a local gym with what I want and schedule an appointment to take a tour.
I call my parents back home and tell my mother what happened. She knows this is my first real break up and tries her best to console me. It falls on deaf ears. I will heal on my own, in my own time. I talk with her about coming down maybe a couple of days to spend some time with her and Dad.
I have decided on a gym close to the office so I can swing by before or after work. It, of course, has all the latest and greatest gadgets and work out equipment. They have an on site nutritionist, masseuse, smoothie bar and sauna. I take the tour and sign the papers.
I decide I'll swing by the office. Next on my calender is Paris. I have two weeks to prepare for it, but since I've been "out of it" I decide I'll get what I need from my office and reacquaint myself with the account. I say good-bye to everyone and tell them I'll see them on Monday.
Back at the condo I decide to pack and head to south Georgia.
I decide to drive and let the air clear my head. There's nothing like rolling down the windows and turning up the radio to bring clarity. I pack everything into my red convertible BMW Z4, let the top back, and hit the road.
I arrive at my parents house later that evening. Momma kept me a plate from dinner, so I sit down at the table and eat it while talking about what happened with LIam.
"You really do love him."
"Yes, the timing is just all wrong right now, him and the tour."
"Y'all will find a way."
She got up from the table and left me with those words.
The next couple of days I just hung around the house and helped my parents with different things that needed to be done around the house. Afternoons I would sit on the back porch in the white wicker chair and look over the pending accounts and refreshed my brain with the upcoming account and trip to Paris.
I've never been to Paris, so I'm really looking forward to it, but like always, it consists of mostly work, but one thing I will definitely be doing is going to the Eiffel Tower and eating some French pastries.
I've decided to head back to Nashville on Sunday after going to church with my parents.
I've gone to this church my entire life. When people say they've known me my entire life, they mean it. Most of the congregation knew my parents when they were young and prior to marrying each other. It was so good to see all of them again.
I get on the road right after lunch and make it home a little after dark. I'm almost excited to go back to work., to get back to my schedule, normalcy. I think I have forgotten what that is.
I am awakened by my alarm clock, I lay there, refreshed. Yes, two weeks was what I needed. My heart is still hollow, but it is beating.
I throw myself into my work. My emails are never ending. My assistant was an angel and did everything above and beyond my expectations, but there are just some things only I can do. My first day at work flew by, and so did the rest of the week.
I come home and start packing. I check to see what the weather will be like so I know what to pack.
My phone chimes.
Are you still up?
A smile crosses my lips, it's Liam.
Yes I am actually.
Can I call you?
Of course.
I barely let the phone ring, I am so happy to hear his voice. We talk about what we have been doing the past ten days or so since we last talked. He asks about work and I tell him my next destination is Paris. He asks where I'm staying and tells me to be sure if I get out to get lots of pictures. He tells me about the times he has been there and things they did, they being him and other guys from the group, One Direction.
We talk for at least 30 minutes, I dont think my smile ever left my face.
The hands on the clock started moving again. Time.
The flight was without incident and I arrive at my hotel.
I get my key card from the desk and find the elevator. I slide my card and the bellhop helps me with my things. I tip him and head in to the bedroom to start unpacking.
I almost scream. There, laying on the bed, in nothing but his birthday suit, is Liam.

Is this what you expected?
