Year Two

Catch Up

Delia's P.O.V.

I walked through the door of my new room, a tad nervously. This was it. I was at a new University now. It was so strange. It was really awkward transferring after two years. It was my third year studying Philosophy and I had decided to take up Spanish along with it. Of course that meant transferring to a new University. I wasn't too bad off though. An old friend of mine, Louis was studying here as well, and since his mum was friends with my mum I had his number now. And I had no hesitancy in calling him.

Once in the room, I threw my stuff onto the bed. There was another bed in the room, so I assumed I would be getting a roommate. Lying on the bed, I instantly looked for Louis number on my phone.

I clicked call quickly. It took a few rings but eventually he answered.

"Hello?" he answered, sounding confused.

Of course he was confused. Mine was a number he didn't know.

"Louis?" I replied, hoping he'd know who I was.

There was a short silence before he replied with a "Yeeess?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't you know who this is?" I asked.

Another small silence.

"I'm sorry..." he sounded genuinely apologetic

"You little shit! How do you not remember me?! We were friends for years Louis! You I have a right mind to-"

"Delia!" he yelled excitedly.

I chuckled.

"Ahh, so I'm not completely forgettable" I said.

He laughed too.

"Your most certainly not. So whats up? How are you?" he asked.

I explained to him then about how I had transferred to Cambridge. He was quite taken aback. I hadn't seen him in two years. Since we had headed off to separate colleges. We had always been friends when we were younger though.

"So Delia, why don't I give you a quick tour. I have nothing to do for the next few hours. It'd be good to see you again" he told me.

I grinned. At least I was going to have one friend here. I agreed and told him my room and dorm number so he could come meet me. I knew that if I had headed off looking for him I would have gotten very lost.

At long last I heard a knock on the door.

I flung it open, wrapping my arms around him.

"Louis!" I yelled.

He chuckled, once we pulled back.

"Your hair's purple" he commented.

I rolled my eyes.

"No shit Sherlock" I replied sarcastically.

He rolled his eyes.

"Well, someone hasn't changed" he chuckled.

I laughed along.

"So where to?" he asked.

We spent the next hour and a half just wandering around the campus, Louis pointing out everywhere. Once he had given me a reasonably good enough tour, we headed into a little café for a bite to eat.

"So Louis Tomlinson" I began.

"So Cordelia Winters" he challenged back.

I narrowed my eyes.

"What have I told you about calling me that?" I asked.

He pulled an innocent face.

"Calling you what? Cordelia is your name is it not?" he acted surprised.

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh shut up" I muttered and he laughed.

I hated the name Cordelia. My mum had been obsessed with the play 'King Lear' when she was pregnant on me and so of course she had decided to name me after her favourite character. I had always had people call me Delia though. I hated 'Cordelia' it sounded so posh. So absolutely formal.

He just continued to laugh.

"So deils, there's this party tonight. You wanna go?" he asked me, suddenly.

I bit my lip.

"Nah, I'm kinda tired to be honest. I just kinda wanna get settle in tonight" I replied.

He rolled his eyes.

"Your so boring!" he gave out.

I giggled.

"Guess your flying solo tonight" I replied.

He shrugged.

"Please Delia? My ex is gonna be there and she's probably going with this other guy.." he trailed off.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh really?" I asked, intrigued.

And so he went off into a big story about this girl. However he never did mention a name. I could tell he was pretty hurt over what happened with her. He really was feeling guilty.

After a while he eventually decided he needed to get going.

I stood up at the same time as him, pulling him in for a hug.

"Good luck with the ex" I told him once we parted.

He laughed slightly.

"Thank you, I certainly will need it" he replied and I grinned.

"Later Deils" he waved me off.

"Byyee" I called as I walked out of the café, pleased at how things had went.

@Mashton_Styles
For the last chapter of this story before starting the sequel I was wondering if we can possibly have Louis declare his feelings for Rachel and maybe give her a kiss. Please if possible :) Thank you.
