Rachel's P.O.V.

"3..2..1" And with that, Louis' lips were on mine. I kissed him back absent mindedly, not really thinking about what I was doing. Once I realized however I pulled away quickly.

"Louis,I-" I began but he just shushed me by placing a finger on my lips, indicating to Harry and Skylar next to us.

I rolled my eyes when I realized this had obviously been some kind of ploy to allow Harry to kiss Skylar. I giggled slightly, quickly grabbing Louis' hand and sprinting out of my bedroom. Harry and Skylar needed a bit of privacy.

"So-" I was laughing at this point as me and Louis stood in a corner, my back to the wall "-this was all some elaborate scheme so Harry could kiss Skylar, right?"

"Elaborate? Not really.. It was pretty simple actually. I kiss you so Skylar won't think too much of Harry kissing her" he shrugged, dangerously close to mine.

I just nodded.

"Harry wasn't too pleased about me kissing you though.. seemed a tad suspicious at how willing I was to help" he smirked and I couldn't help but giggle again.

"Well seems to me as if your plan worked pretty well" I replied.
"So it did" he murmured.

His eyes met mine and I felt suddenly nervous. His gaze dropped down to my lips and back up to my eyes.

I sucked in a quick breath as his face moved closer to mine. I felt his forehead press against mine, his lips mere milimetres aeay from mine. I knew I should just push him away or turn my head but i was frozen to the spot.

He met once more about to let our lips meet and then-

"Happy New Years! Can you believe the years already over-" Mum called out as she walked along the hall but then cut off when she saw Louis and I.

I pushed Louis away from me quickly, feeling my cheeks heat up significantly.

"Oh wow,well this is unexpected" mum commented,her arms folded,a smirk on her face.

"We-We were just- I mean I was just- Not really doing-" I began stuttering but Louis cut me off, wrapping an arm around my torso.

"We were just imitating Harry and Skylar in there. Rach and I are just friends you see Anne" Louis explained for me.

I nodded while mum just chuckled.

"I do see Louis. Well if Skylar and Harry are otherwise preoccupied do you two want to come downstairs and watch a movie with us?" She offered, still looking a tad suspicious.

I shrugged.

"Sure, why not" I agreed before heading down, extremely flustered over what had happened with Louis.

I hadn't fallen asleep until 3am New Years day meaning I was exhausted when I woke up the next morning on the floor beside the couch.

Louis was curled up on the armchair like a cat and Harry and Skylar were sleeping soundly on the couch. Of course I had ended up on the floor. The television was still on from where we had been watching movies.

I groaned as I stood up, switching off the television.

I walked out to the kitchen, making my tea and a bowl of cereal.

I sat it silence for at least 20 minutes before eventually Louis came out to the kitchen,rubbing his eyes as he diddid.

"Morning Rach" he grinned.

"Morning Louis" I mumbled back, swallowing a sip of tea.

He made his own cup before sitting down next to me, glancing nervously at me.

"Hey Rachel,about last night. Let's just forget about what happened, yeah?"

I nodded.

"I mean we're friends now.. And you have Irwin,right? I just, I just don't want things to change.. We're in a good place now and I like that". He rambled.

" It's fine Louis. We'll just forget it,yeah?" I offered. .

He nodded.

"Sounds like a plan" he agreed.
