Year Two

Skylar's P.O.V
I wake up to a loud bang, followed by someone shouting my name. I stumble out of bed half asleep, nearly running into my wall, before running into the main room. There stood my roommate, smiling widely. What happened to her?

"What? What happened?" I rub my tired eyes, stifling a yawn.

"The program is letting us go home for Christmas! Isn't that awesome? I'm so excited I can barely hold it in!" She squeaks, clapping her hands and bouncing up and down. I raise a confused eyebrow, slowly raking a hand through my knotted hair. I can go home? I'd rather not. I guess I'll visit Cambridge instead.

With a frazzled sigh, I push the door of the taxi open and step out. I quickly pay the driver and grab my bag before making my way to the dorm with a large smile on my face. Since its a few days before Christmas, I doubt anyone would be gone already. I hope. I shake off the thought and pull out my phone I had just gotten back before I left, and call Rachel.

"Hello?" She asks into the phone, sounding a bit breathless.

"Hey Rachel, its Skylar! I'm at the uni-" I begin, but she cuts me off by laughing.

"Ashton! Stop! Honestly, I'm on the phone!"

"Rach-"

"I swear to God, I'll kick you in the balls if you don't stop!"

I laugh softly, biting my lip ring softly as I hang up. I guess a surprise is better? I bet they're at the boys apartment. I don't bother going to my dorm to drop my stuff off. I'm excited, what can I say? I haven't seen them for a few weeks. As I'm walking to the apartment, I take the chance to figure what I'm going to say to them. Is Luke there? I hope Calum and Michael show up too, they're always full of jokes and surprises. Before I know it, I'm in front of their door with my hand positioned to knock. But before I could, the door swung open and a body collided with mine. I let out a small squawk and plummet backwards, landing flat on my ass. I look up to find a very surprised Calum and Michael.

"Hey guys." They both break out into a fit of laughter, which echo's loudly through the halls.
A blush finds its way on my face as I stand up and smack their arms. "Jerks!"

"Aw, come on Sky, you know we love you." Calum throws his arm around my shoulder, while Michael grabs my luggage and does the same. We smile at each other before strutting into the room and striking a pose in front of Ashton, Rachel, and Luke. Their mouths hang open, but a second later their laughs fill the silent room. Luke jumps off the couch and comes barreling towards me, he wraps his arms around my waist and nuzzles his face into my neck. Butterflies instantly begin to swarm in my stomach.

"Skylar, hey!" Rachel's voice roared, making Luke chuckle before letting go and nudging me towards her. I smile at her, making a mental note to ask her about what happened on the phone with Ashton. I pull her into a hug and squeeze her tightly, before pulling back and flickering my eyes to Ashton then back to hers. She smiles shyly before flopping back down on the couch next to Ashton and bites her lip. Arms wrap around my waist from behind, and I instantly know they're Luke's.

"Calum and I were just about to go out and grab a pizza, but since you're here why don't we all go out?" Michael asks, drawing our attentions. We all look at each other before nodding and running out of the door, me and Luke hand in hand. I glance behind me and notice Ashton grabbing Rachel's hand, making her smile and run after us.

"You guys don't know how much I've missed this." I sigh, resting my head on Luke's shoulder.

"What, the greasy pizza or us?" Ashton jokes, his eyes going to Rachel's before meeting mine. I almost laugh at how cute they are. Its so obvious that they're into each other, I guess Rachel isn't ready for a relationship? From what I know, it looked like she had a thing for Louis, but I suppose it didn't work out.

"You know what I mean." I playfully glare at him and remember what the boys had said about my lip ring.

"Absolutely awesome!" Michael beamed.

"Can I touch it?" Calum asked. Being the nice person I am, I let him, but Luke had gave him the death stare before he could even reach my face. Calum laughed uncomfortably before shrinking back in his seat and changed the subject to their band. The band seems to be getting more attention everyday, they've even recorded an album or two. Michael may have told me that they're being noticed by the ladies, which instantly made me worry that Luke would cheat.. again. But I simply shook my head and smiled at him. He said that since there's less than 6 months left of college, they're already planning another tour, but this time they're opening be the opening band for One Direction. Its crazy that Harry never told me him and his friends tried out for x-factor. People have been going absolutely nuts for them. They're the hottest band right now, which I think is great for them. Rachel had told me that it was almost scary to see the paparazzi hanging around the campus, waiting for the boys to exit their classes.

"Skylar!" Luke's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, making me jump slightly and look up at him.

"What?" I squeaked, looking around and noticing that everyone was standing except for Luke and I.

"We're going back to the apartment, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Alright?" Michael said, making me frown slightly before I rolled out of the booth and stood up with my finger pointing at him.

"I left my suitcase there." I reminded him, smiling before grabbing Luke's hand and pulling him out of the pizzeria.

Once we had gotten there, Michael and Calum went into their rooms, claiming they needed their beauty sleep and slammed the door. While Ashton was saying goodbye to Rachel, Luke and I were making out in the kitchen.

"Sky, come on!" I quickly pull away from Luke, before letting out a groan directed at Rachel.

"You're going to see him tomorrow, Lizzies already at the dorm waiting for us."

"Fine." I grumble, quickly giving Luke a quick kiss on the lips before I grabbed my suitcase and nearly floating out of the apartment. Rachel let out a small laugh before shaking her head.

"Careful Sky, you're drooling." Rachel joked, winking slightly.

"I am not!" I argue, but quickly swipe a hand across my chin just incase. I glare at her when I feel nothing.

"You're such a blonde!"

"I am not-" I cut myself off because, well, I am blonde. "You're such a bully, Styles."

"Pfft," She nudges my shoulder, smiling widely. "I'm only joking. Besides, its nice to have you back."

"Aw, thank you." I smile sarcastically, while slapping my hand to my chest. "So, what's going on between you and Ashton?"

Hey guys, Merry Christmas again! I hope you like the chapter, I've been writing it while reading the 12 books I got for Christmas! I nearly died when my dad allowed me to go crazy and buy almost every book off the teen section in Barnes & Nobles. What can I say, I love books! Anyways, please..
