Year Two

Rachel's P.O.V.
Twenty minutes later and I was still on the phone to Skylar. I was now sitting on the floor between Ashton's legs while he sat on the couch braiding my hair. He was surprisingly good at it.

Skylar and I had been chatting about her art program and I had been narrowly avoiding the topic of Harry. And Luke. However at long last she mentioned it.

"So.. How's Luke?" She asked first,her voice a little reserved.

I sighed.

"He's...okay-ish I suppose" I mumbled, not fully true.

I heard her hesitate.

"And Harry?" Her voice was barely more than a whisper. .

"I'm not gonna lie Sky. He's not doing so good.. He's still pretty hurt over you choosing Luke over him" I replied honestly.

She sighed.

"I feel so bad Rach, I really do but.." She trailed off.

"You love him, I know. I get it" I finished for her softly.

She just hummed in response.

"Hey Rach,I've got to go now. This isn't my phone" she told me after a small pause.

"That's fine Sky, you'll try ring again soon though, yeah?" I asked.

"Of course" she replied. "Talk to you soon" she added before the phone line went dead.

I sighed as I locked my phone, putting it in my pocket.

"You okay?" Ashton asked as he put my plait over my shoulder. I stood up nodding.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just miss her is all" I replied honestly.

He nodded, flinging an arm over my shoulder.

"Me too hun, me too" he agreed.

"But hey just go fix your make up and we can go to the café and I'll buy you pancakes" he suggested.

It was then that I remember I had been applying my make up when I heard him on the phone. My cheeks flushed a little at how stupid I must look.

"Thanks Ash,just give me a sec" I mumbled,heading into the bathroom awkwardly for the second time that morning.
