Year Two

Skylar's P.O.V

"Look out!" I scream, laughing a second later as I zoom past Luke on my new skateboard that took me an hour to pick out. I had forgotten how hard it was to chose a design when there are so many of them. Luke and I are skating back to his house. Well, I am, he's somehow balancing himself and rolling as the hill dips down.

"Slow down, Sky!" Luke's voice blared from behind, causing me to roll my eyes slightly before bending my knees and rolling down the hill. Once I've reached a comfortable speed, I suddenly forget how to stop at a high speed. Oh shit..

"How do I stop this thing?!" I screech out, letting out a frustrated breath. Suddenly my board is sailing out into the street. I run three steps before I fall, skidding forward on my hands and knees. I hiss at the pain, and come to a rolling stop. "well that hurt." I mumble, slowly standing up and cringing at my bloody hands and knees.

"Oh shit, Sky! Are you okay?" Luke appears in front of me, already grabbing my hands to inspect them. "That was a pretty bad fall, I'm surprised you're okay," he breathed out, smiling.

"I've had worse, I guess I forgot a few things." I laugh, shifting my weight to my right foot as I feel blood dripping down my leg.

"Lets hurry and get back to my house," Luke ran ahead and grabbed my board while carrying his with a panicked look on his face. I smiling before walking beside Luke.

Once we got to his house, Luke's mom nearly drove me to the hospital when she saw me, but I assured her about 10 times I was fine. She scolded Luke about letting me on the skateboard before I was ready, but of course, I explained that it was my fault. I then quickly grabbed Luke's hand and dragged him up the stairs with a smile.

"Sorry, Sky, she gets a little.. scary some times," He mumbles while we're in the bathroom, me sitting on the toilet seat and Luke sitting Indian style in front of me with a first aid kit next to him. "this might sting." Luke quickly presses a cloth on my knee, which stung allot.

"Luke! Shit! That fucking hurts!" I whine, bouncing my other leg before biting my lip hard.

"Sorry," he whispers, applying a large band aid to both my knees before stand up and slowly sticking my hand under the cold water. "better?" I sigh in relief and nod, but suck in a breath when Luke shuts the water off and begins dabbing my hand with a disinfectant wipe.

Once he put on band aids on my hands, Luke kissed my check before bringing me into his room and setting me down on his bed before he held up a finger and ran out of the room. I confusedly looked at the door, I slowly pulled out my phone and decided to call Rachel and ask how she and Harry are doing, not to mention how the dinner with Ashton went. But before I had a chance to call, Luke walked back into the room with two bowls of what must be ice cream.

"I hope you like cookies and cream." he smiled, handing me the bowl filled with ice cream. I awkwardly hold the bowl, but nod.

"I love cookies and cream," I squeak, shoving a spoon full of ice cream in my mouth before meeting Luke's eyes. "what?" I ask with my mouth full out ice cream, once I've swallowed it, Luke laughed. I narrow my eyes before setting the bowl down and standing up to head over to the bathroom. "want to go to the movies or something?"

"Are you asking me out?" Luke asked in a joking tone, walking over to me and wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. I laugh slightly, staring at our reflection in the mirror for a second before turning around.

"Luke Hemming's, will you go out with me?" I tilt my head to the side, and biting back a smile.

"I don't know, I'm going to have to check with my girlfriend on that." He smiles before kissing me quickly and pulling me down the stairs. "We're going out, mom!" And with that, we grabbed out skateboards and headed to a small movie theater. Once we were there, it turns out the only movie that was about to start is The Conjuring. Being me, I vetoed that movie right away, but Luke promise if the movie got too scary, we could leave. So of course I said yes, and I really regretted my decision. I was clinging to Luke the whole time while on his lap, covering my ears and squeezing my eyes shut. Finally, when the movie was over, I didn't even want skate back, so we ended up walking hand in hand. When we got there, we decided to go for a swim.

"I am never going to the movies with you again," I hiss at Luke, crossing my arms before slipping off my towel and diving into the pool. "you promised we would leave if it got too scary." I saw once I've resurfaced. Luke quickly jumped in after me, swimming towards me with a crooked grin on his face.

"It wasn't that bad, Sky. And I bet you liked begins to close to me," Luke smirked, pulling me closer to him and wrapping his arms around me. "I know I did."
