Year Two

Rachel's P.O.V.

Before I even had a chance to question Skylar she had wandered off, leaving me alone. I didn't understand it at all. What did she mean her and Luke were over?

I didnt have long to worry about it because as the next song 'Outta My Limit' started I got distracted.

When they had finished I managed to push through the crowd and get past the bouncer (after Michael spotted me and told him that they did actually know me) and ended up backstage.

"Well well well, look who came as a slutty nurse" Calum commented when he saw me.

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" i wondered aloud.

Ashton smirked.

"Just the way you wear it I suppose" he teased.

I stuck my tongue out in return.

"So where's Sky?" Luke asked, glancing past me expectantly.

I bit my lip.

"Well em, she kinda left. A while ago. She actually told me to tell you that er you two are over" My voice got suddenly quiet at the last four words. However Luke heard me perfectly clearly.

"Over?! Why?!" He asked, standing up abruptly.

I shrugged.

"I dont know. She wandered off before I had a chance to ask her" I told him.

He began pacing back and forth, nervously running a hand through his hair.

"Over?" He murmured to himself as he did. "Why? What possible reasons could she have?"

The four of us watched him nervously. Suddenly he stopped pacing and grabbed his jacket.

"I need some air" he mumbled before walking away so fast we couldnt stop him if we tried.

We all just watched him silently, unsure of what to say.

"Well that was sufficiently awkward" Michael finally announced. We all nodded.

"Hey,wheres Lizzie?" He added.

"I dont know, did you invite her?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"Well then" I rolled my eyes.

If he wanted her to come he should've just grown a pair and asked her. Its not like he'd be asking her out or anything.

Michael and Calum broke off into conversation so I made my way over to Ashton.

"What did you think?" He asked, referring to the show.

"I thought it was amazing. And that 5 Seconds of Summer has most definitely got the best drummer ive ever seen" I replied, grinning cheekily.

He smiled widely, his dimples showing.

"Thanks. I'm thoroughly exhausted though now" he admitted.

It was pretty obvious he was. He really had put so much work into his drumming. He was sweating and his breath was slightly uneven.

However, he didnt get a chance to relax. Almost immediately some man appeared, insisting that they got out to drinks with him to discuss their merchandise. I came along with thwm , though I didn't fully understand everything he was talking about it. I mainly just chatted with Ashton in hushed tones while the man wasn't paying attention.

It was early morning when we actually got back to campus. I was pretty drunk and so was falling around a little. Ashton decided to walk me to my room as he was the designated driver and was the only one not drunk.

I rambled around random nonsense the whole walk to the door while poor Ashton just listened. It wasnt until I was back to the room that I realised he had been silent the whole time.

"Ash, you okay?" I asked, turning to face him.

"Of course I'm okay" he replied.

I frowned.

"Your really quiet. What are you thinking?" I demanded.

He sighed, raising an eyebrow at my bluntness.

I just gave him an impatient look.

"Im just thinking back to the first time I met you. You were drunk then too. So was I. Remember?" He mumbled out softly.

I nodded. "I do. You know I wouldve gone through with it" I mumbled thoughtfully, my intoxicated state fading my embarrasment and keeping me unabashed.

I opened my nedroom door then, still thinking back to thatparty and gasped at what I saw. Harry was in Skylars bed,the two of them cuddled up together. Lizzie was there too, lying in her own bed.

"Oh my god" Ashton said,glancing in at them.

I stood out of the room quickly,closing the door softly behind me.

"No wonder she broke up with Luke" Ashton mutteres, his tone sour.

I sighed.

"I cant stay there tonight, thats too weird. Can i just sleep at yours?" I asked, not wanting to stay in a room with my brother and beat friend in the same bed.

Ashton nodded.

"Yeah, of course,lets go"he mumbled,his arm around my waist, keeping me balanced.

"So.. Did you know?"he askes slowly.

I shook my head. I didnt know but i had my suspicions. And now they were certainly confirmed.
