Stay With Me

The next few weeks had passed, its now a week in to February. The cold New York weather forcing Jana to stay inside the small, crammed apartment. Tori's sleeping on Jana's bed silently. The faint noise of cars and honking prevent Jana to join her.

Jana throws a blanket over her shoulders and steps out onto the balcony. A thin layer of snow covers the ground, what looks like a little from her height up, is a lot on the actual ground. She sighs to herself as she realizes he still hasn't called,or text, or anything..

She goes back inside, sits the blanket on the couch, and makes her way to the kitchen. Jana's fingers hold the cup of fresh hot coffee she just poured, adding a little sugar and cream. Her eyes stare at her phone as it lies on the table. A message pops up, but from her dad, not Niall, of course. He wants Tori to come over, but honestly, Jana doesn't have the energy, or the hope, to get up and take her.

Jana and Tori have been on there own since day one. Jana personally knows Tori's father. His name is Micheal Prior. He's a piece of you know you. She knows he likes to party, drink, stay out late, hook up, and she didn't want her daughter around that.

But when she was pregnant, she wasn't sure who's it was. Being honest with her dad, telling him the truth, that she'd been sleeping around herself at the time. She was only 15..what else would you expect? He understood and decided to get a DNA test a few months in. It was Micheal's. Micheal knew he couldn't handle a kid, so he made a deal.

The court agreed on it. He would pay about $400 a month on Child Support, but never really step in to Tori's life, that was Jana's idea though. Tori's name was all Jana's put in. "Tori" was her best friend's name. Jana and Tori Dubard were best friends since Pre-K. But on November 4, 2009..Tori killed herself. She hung herself and left Jana alone..

To honor her sisterly love for Tori, she named her daughter that. "Isabella" came from her dad. All her life she was told about her mother, who'd she'd never met, and never will, probably. Her dad would tell her sweet things about her mother, saying she looks just like her. Jana's mother was named Isabella Caldwell. She left a few months into Jana's life, from there Jana's dad, Chad Bennett, had taken care of her.

And it turns out that Tori will become the same way, but reserved. She has a mother..but no father.. Sometimes, when Jana gets lonely, or bored, or upset..she thinks about what Tori's life would be...if she had let Micheal be around her...
