The Time of Your Life

Foggy

Trinity’s POV

“I don’t remember any of it,” I admitted. “Should I text him?”

“No, you should completely ignore one of the most famous boys ever, and not even give him the time of day,” Spencer said, sarcasm apparent. “Text him, dumbass.”

“Okay,” I said, still unsure. “Ugh, but what do I say?”

“Say hello,” Spencer said, laughing. “But before we do that, we really need to get going.”

I rolled my eyes, following him to his car. I opened a new message and typed in his name to the contact box. I still couldn’t believe it.

Hi, um… do I have the right number? This is Trinity. Did we meet last night?

I sent the message, my hands shaking from the nerves. I sat in the car as Spencer started the car and sped forward. “I wonder what happened,” I said quietly, thinking out loud.

“Well, considering you woke up with no pants on, I think we can assume what happened,” he said with an amused look on his face.

“Oh my God. What if that did happen though? Prewett, I could be pregnant!”

“Trinity, even when you’re drunk, you’re smart enough to take precautions. I’m sure things will be fine.”

I tried to pull back any memory from last night, sitting there quietly for a good five minutes, but all I could recall was helping set up, getting the pizza from the delivery guy, then taking a few shots of tequila. After that, everything was a blur. I remembered loud music and dancing, but nothing else, besides waking up this morning. I groaned in frustration. “I don’t fucking remember,” I said, annoyed.

“Welp, deal with it. You can find out once he texts you back.”

Just as he pulled into Chaianne’s driveway, my phone buzzed with a text notification. I opened it, and Niall had replied.

Yes you have the right number :) how are you this morning?

“Fuck,” I muttered.

“Was that him? What did he say?” Spencer squealed.

I shook my head. “He asked me how I was this morning.”

Spencer put the car in park and turned it off. “So…? What are you going to tell him?”

I glared at him. “I don’t fucking know, give me a minute.” What was I supposed to say? That I was suffering from a hangover and had no recollection of meeting him last night? I guess that would be best.

I’m suffering from a hangover, and tbh, I don’t remember meeting you last night… at all…

I got out of the car with my heart beating out of my chest. “I told him I didn’t remember meeting him last night.”

“Oh, Napoleon,” Spencer said. “That’s just going to make him feel awkward.”

“And? It’s the truth, sorry not sorry,” I said, walking up to Chaianne’s door and knocking twice before walking in. “Your masters are here!” I shouted into the living room.

“I’ll be out in a sec!” she shouted from her bedroom. What was she doing in there? She was usually out here waiting for us when we were coming over.

“Chai… what are you doing?” I yelled suspiciously.

“What do you think she’s doing?” Spencer said, smirking.

I gasped in shock, and bolted to her bedroom door, which was shut. I turned the handle and opened the door, and found some guy laying underneath her duvet without a shirt on. He looked up from his phone at me in surprise, and rushed to get the rest of the covers over his body.

I laughed. “Chaianne, are you in your bathroom?”

Shit,” I heard her mutter. She came out with a towel wrapped around her head, the rest of her body clothed. “You do know my room is off limits, right?”

Spencer was on the floor in a fit of laughter while I was doing my best to contain mine. “Nothing is off limits when it comes to me, Chai,” I said, walking over to the attractive stranger.

“Hello, sweet cheeks,” I said to him with a smirk. I pulled back the duvet off of him before he could even blink, and shook my head in disappointment. “Tsk tsk tsk, Chaianne Nikkole, I know you can do better than that,” I said, referring to his deal.

He looked at me, offended, and pulled the duvet back up to cover himself. Spencer was having a hard time breathing from laughing so hard, and his face made me laugh along with him. “Nice meeting you, cutie pie. It’s a shame you don’t have more to offer than a pretty face.” I winked at him and headed back out to the living room, doing my best to drag Spencer along with me.

We took a seat on the couch and turned on the TV while Spencer was still trying to calm down. “You’re fucking crazy, you know that, right?” he said in between heavy breaths.

“I consider it one of my many great qualities, because I know I’m a freak in bed,” I said with a smirk.

“I wouldn’t know,” Spencer laughed.

“Are you complaining?”

“Um.”

He didn’t have time to answer, because just then, Chaianne and Tiny Tim walked into the room. “Oh look who’s back!” I shouted, amused at his embarrassment.

He glared at me one last time before making a dash towards the front door. “It was nice to meet you!” I shouted one last time before he slammed the door behind him. Spencer started laughing again, and I pushed at his face, trying to get him to shut up.

Chaianne looked at me, and she looked mighty pissed. “There is this thing called privacy,” she said, fuming. “Just because my bedroom door doesn’t have a lock, doesn’t mean you just walk in.”

“Oh but sweetie, I just wanted to meet your lover,” I said, trying to hold back my laughter.

“You would have met him after he had gotten dressed! Instead, you go and see him stark naked!”

“There wasn’t much to see…”

“Shut up! Stop with the wise cracks! Yes, he stayed the night. Yes, shit happened. Is that any of your business though?”

“Frankly, yes, because you are my child and are supposed to tell me these things. Like his name,” I said, still smiling.

She rolled her eyes at me. “His name is Josh. Does it even matter anymore? You’ve scared him off.”

“Oh honey, I may have scared him off, but he could never have pleased you anyway,” I said, laughing at my own comment.

“Okay. He wasn’t bad. So stop dissing on what you saw. Considering he’s a great deal bigger when he… Never mind! Why am I telling you this?”

Me and Spencer had lost control by then and couldn’t stop laughing. Chaianne continued to glare at us, but it was of no use. It was only when I felt my phone buzz that I gained somewhat of my bearings. I typed in my code and saw a text from Niall.

You don’t? That’s a shame. Maybe you would like to meet again sometime soon? :)

My eyes widened, and I started smacking Spencer’s arm to get his attention, since he wouldn’t stop laughing.

“What?” he asked, rubbing his arm. I showed him the message Niall had just sent. His jaw hit the floor.

“Oh my God, yes!” he exclaimed. “You have to!”

“What are we excited about?” Chaianne questioned, a confused look on her face.

“Um, well… supposedly… I don’t remember it, but… well, I’ve been told I met Niall Horan last night…”

“What?!” she yelled. “And you waited this long to tell me!”

“I was busy checking out your man,” I said, winking at her.

“Oh, don’t try to change the subject now! What happened?”

“I just said I don’t remember anything,” I said, laughing a little. “I wish I did. I bet I rode him like a pony. Man, why the fuck can’t I remember these things?”

Spencer shook his head. “Maybe you should not use the simile ‘like a pony’ and we would get somewhere.”

I grinned. “But I like that simile.”

“Enough,” Chaianne interjected. “You have to meet him again! Was that him?”

“Well duh,” I said. “Why else would we be having this conversation?”

She rolled her eyes. “Answer him! Now! Tell him to come over here!”

I hesitated. “What if he doesn’t want to?”

“Trinity, just do it. Now.”

I sighed. “Fine. We’ll see what he says.” I started typing my reply.

Absolutely! Would you like to meet up today?

“There, it’s sent.”

“Yassss,” Chaianne said, dancing slightly.

I snickered. “I’m surprised you can move like that after last night.”

“Don’t start that shit again!”

Spencer started laughing again as I grinned like an idiot. “It’s just to make this fool happy,” I said, pointing at Spencer. “Just kidding, I love messing with you.”

She glared at me. “How about if I walk in on you and Niall? How would you like that?”

I laughed. “Honey, your mind would be blown at the sight of my body.”

She shook her head and walked back to her room. “You guys do whatever you want, I’m staying in here,” she called as she walked away.

“I’m gonna make some popcorn,” I said to Spencer. “You want any?”

“Sure, make a bunch and bring it in here.”

I nodded and made my way towards the kitchen. I rummaged through the cabinets and felt my phone go off, except it kept vibrating. I pulled it out, and saw that Niall was calling. Reluctantly, I answered it.

“H-hello?” I said warily.

“Trinity? Is this you?” asked an Irish accent.

“Yeah,” I said, my heart pounding. “Is this really Niall?”

“Yes, it is,” he said, laughing a little. Oh my God, that laugh. It was really him.

“Wow, um, well hello.”

“Hi,” he said, and I could hear the smile in his voice.

“Regrettably, I don’t remember a thing from last night. Would you mind telling me what happened?”

I heard silence at the other end, and then he sighed. “You can use your imagination.”

I closed my eyes. “Oh boy. Was it good?” I asked, smirking.

He laughed loudly. “It was great. But yes, I’d love to meet up today. When and where?”

I smiled. “Whatever suits you.”

“How about your place in an hour?”

“Wow, um, yeah, sounds great.”

“Great! I’ll see you then, love.”

“Okay,” I said, smiling from ear to ear.

“Bye, darling.”

“Bye.”

I hung up the phone, and placed it against my pounding heart. I was going to meet him, and actually remember it this time. Wow.

I eventually found the bags of popcorn and popped them in the microwave, poured it all in a bowl, and headed back into the living room with it.

“Here we are,” I said, sitting and placing the bowl in between me and Spencer.

“Who was that on the phone?” he asked, shoving popcorn into his mouth.

“That was Niall. I’m meeting him at my place in an hour.”

“Does he know where you live?”

“Uh, no. Good point.” I texted Niall my address and let him know that I might be a little late.

“You excited?” Spencer asked, smiling.

“Yeah. I mean, it’s kinda hard to believe it’s actually happening, but dude. I’m gonna fuck him.”

He laughed slightly. “Do you think it would be any more than just sex? What about a relationship?”

I thought a minute. “Commitment is for pussies.”

“Amen to that.”
