The Masked One
Hospital
AJ's POV
The doctor came into the room and I instantly squeezed on Niall's and Zayn's hand, I don't know what to do. I'm so scared right now, what if this man tries to hurt me? Oh my days, I'm shaking! The doctor looked at me, then the boys and gave them a disgusted look, I don't see why he did, I mean if anything these boys have been so kind and generous to me! If they didn't do this, honestly I think The Masked One would have found me and finished the job he was looking to do (kill me). Oh I don't even know any more! “You know only family is aloud to be in the room at one time, so if any of you who aren't family, please could you leave?” the man in the long white coat said. Oh my goodness, he knows, he's working with my kidnapper, my families murderer. I started to shake and tears threatened to roll down my cheek, thankfully Niall noticed and started to rub my head with his thumb; he leaned up closer to me and whispered in my ear, “Don't worry AJ, we won't leave you” the tears dried up but I still shook, I little less though. “Sir, um.. AJ doesn't have any family, we are the only family she has, we really can't leave her” Niall said, so maturely. The doctor nodded he head but replied, “Aah, I see. But unfortunately if that is the case, I have to ask you all to leave,” 'WHAT' is all I thought no! They can't leave me in here alone! Everyone had a shocked look on their face and I could feel the tears coming back and one or two just fell, this can't be happening, the doctor continued, surprisingly, “But, as I can see that you're,” pointing to me,” in such a fragile condition, I'll allow 3 people to stay with you and 3 of you may leave,” I nodded, “I'll come back in about a minute or so, okay?” he asked and I nodded. I gestured for something to write on, and Niall handed me his phone on the notes and let me type.
~Niall can you stay with me?~
I showed it to him and he said, “Of course I'll stay babe”
I smiled and was happy, then Paul spoke up, “I'll need to stay in, as the adult and the temporary guardian of the lads and I guess you to” I nodded as I understood what he meant.
“So AJ, one more, who do you want, we honestly don't mind”
How could I choose between Louis, Harry, Zayn and Liam. They are all my best friends, I only picked Niall because I feel safe around him! It's weird and I don't know why, I really have no idea. Right, well I think Louis would make a joke or something and probably annoy the doc, Harry would probably be really caring and concerned. Zayn would give me some moral support but I don't think he really 'likes' me yet and Liam well he's 'Daddy Direction' he would take everything seriously and be so supportive and sympathetic. Yeah, I'll go for him! I started typing and showed it to the guys.
~Liam, do you mind if you stayed?~
He nodded and accepted with a smile, as for the others they all got it and left wishing me luck! Niall still held my hand and rubbing it softly, I couldn't help but smile at him, and he smiled back instantly showing of those beautiful crooked teeth, such an amazing smile! Such a cute boy! The doctor walked back in and nodded with the choice I had made for who I had in with me, he seemed almost pleased. He must know the reputation of the band or something. From what Liam told me yesterday they seem to be pretty famous!
“Okay then, so what's the major problem? I can see from the bandages on your leg and is that barbed wire on the desk?” the doctor started. I looked at Niall and gave him the nod for him to speak for me, I squeezed his hand while he told the doctor all I had told him. The doctor looked astonished, shocked, his jaw dropped at one point.
“Is that all AJ? They're isn't anything missing from what your friend has told me” he questioned.
I shook my head to say no. Niall looked at me and looked hurt that I hadn't told him, if anything I didn't want to tell him or anyone, it's one thing I wanted to keep a secret from everyone. I mouthed 'Sorry' to Niall and typed on my phone.
~The man, he um.. he.. raped me.. and he did so since I was nine..~
I sat the phone on the bed I sat on and started to cry uncontrollably. Liam tried to calm me down as Niall took the phone and read what I had typed and said it out loud.
“He raped her” everyone was gob-smacked, it only made me cry more. The doctor asked to see what exactly I had typed. Niall then pushed Liam from me and sat on my bed. He pulled me onto his lap and hugged me and kissed my forehead. He relaxed me, but I still cried, he lifted me and turned me around to look at him face on. He looked straight into my eyes and whispered, “I'm so sorry, are you okay?” I looked in his deep blue eyes and nearly got lost but I nodded and smiled, even though it was a weak smile and extremely hard to do.
“Okay, well now that we know this, it changes. We will need to ask you all to leave except young AJ to get examined and what not by a senior nurse, but if you want to have anyone in you can. After you 3 can come back in while the tests are ran and I will take a look at her leg and get it sorted. AJ, would you like anyone in with you during the examination?” he explained and asked me. I declined for the boys to stay in, that would be extremely awkward. “Alright then lads, could you please leave the room?” they all said 'Sure' Niall was the last to leave and whispered in my ear,
“I'm sorry AJ, for everything, just think of me when you get scared, and I'll be in your heart to keep you safe” and with that he kissed me on the cheek and left.
The nurse then came in obviously knowing everything as the doctor would have told her. She didn't seem too old, in her mid thirties. She had brunette hair and her eyes were a deep brown. She looked so happy and in a good mood!
Niall's POV
I can't believe that dirt bag, that douche, that prick raped her! Honestly if he ever comes near her again! I will kill him myself! I can't believe he hurt my precious girl! I'm never going to let him or anyone else in the world hurt her! No one will hurt my princess. Okay, so yeah. I've developed my feelings for her. I really like her, and now that I know this, I can't do anything about it, she is truly broken; a broken angel that has to be fixed, restored. I have to do something, restore her faith in humanity, or something.. I hope this works.
“Hey, why did you guys leave her?” Zayn asked
“You tell them Liam” I said
“Sure Niall, well it turns out that, um.. Well that her kidnapper, he um.. well he um, he raped her.. and um has done since she was nine or so.. so um, yeah..” Liam said
“WHAT!!” they all shouted, and everyone in the canteen turned around and stared, it would surprise you on how many people would be here at 5:45 AM. Huh, strange but sad, I guess?
“So why have you guys left her?” Louis asked
“Well she had to be examined and she didn't want any of us to be in with her, obviously.” Paul said
“Aaaah right, that's horrible” Harry said, “I feel so bad for her, like I know I would but I guess I feel like extra bad for her and I don't know why” he said
“I know exactly what you mean Haz, but how come you feel like that, I mean I uderstand why I do, I mean I do – err feel close to her” I said, wow! Good save Niall!
“Yeah, I don't really get it either to be honest! Strange, but I can tell she's in discomfort right now” Harry said. Something really creepy is going on her.. hhmm, I wonder.
“Excuse me b-boys, b-but the ones who were in with Miss Lee can c-come back into her. She was well, not asking, but y-you know, erm typing, well you know what I m-mean?” the nurse said, I guess she was a fan
“Yeah, we understand, are you okay? Are you a fan?” I asked, she nodded, we all smiled at her
“Want us to sign anything?” Liam asked and she nodded and handed us a notebook and a pen.
“I'll go first then go up to AJ, so she's not alone for too long” I said, everyone agreed. “What's your name hun?” I asked the nurse
“Lauren, Lauren Hemmings” she said
“You have a lovely name Lauren” she blushed. I simply wrote something -

She was so nice, I hugged her and handed her notebook over to Liam and walked upstairs to AJ, I wonder what AJ stands for. She doesn't even know herself! Maybe we could think of something together. I was just outside her door, why did I feel nervous about walking in all of a sudden?! I opened the door and she looked up at me and a huge smile; I walked over to her and was about to sit on the chair when she tapped the bed, signalling for me to sit on the bed with her. I sat up and she snuggled into me, this felt so right! Seriously! This girl is just getting better every second! I rested my head on hers and closed my eyes taking in this moment, I seen her shut hers moments before, she must feel safe in my arms, this is perfect. Before I knew it, I was drifting off to sleep, with my girl in my arms.

Sorry i haven't updated in a wee while! But my laptop did brake and i was on holidays and re-writing and fixing some chapters! BUT IT'S HERE!! and because i'm still on my summer holidays until September! I will be writing a lot more! And probably another one today!! Maybee
