Niall's POV

“AJ, don't worry! Calm down, it's only Zayn our friend!” I cooed, she was really shaked up! “Hey” Zayn said gently, smiling at her as he knelt down before her. “Zayn, this is AJ, AJ this is Zayn” I introduced them. “Hi AJ” he smiled, “She doesn't exactly talk Zayn” I told him. “Can you talk?” he asked, she simply nodded, “You just choose not to?” Zayn asked, she nodded again. She started to write something down.

~I find that life is easier if I don't~

“Easier? How come?” he asked again

~if I don't talk, then he won't hurt me~

“Who won't hurt you?” Zayn asked

~The masked one~ she wrote down, with tears dropping onto the page

“The masked one?” Zayn said

“She was kidnapped when she was younger about 5 years old, and this man, he was your kidnapper right?” I asked, she nodded. “Um, Niall?” Zayn asked, “yeah?” I said, “Why is her leg all bandaged up?” Zayn asked me, “Liam pulled that barbed wire out of it, we had to take it out it was hurting you right?” AJ nodded. Zayn cringed “Ow” he whimpered thinking about it. I could see that AJ was getting uncomfortable with us talking about this. I grabbed my phone and text Liam.

- To: Liam

hey, I think AJ's getting uncomfortable listening to this... take her out of the room? I need to talk to Zayn alone about her.. thanks :)

From: Niall -

I kept looking at Liam until he read my text, when he did he smiled and nodded at me, “ehh, AJ want to come over into the living room and talk?” Liam said, AJ simply nodded and Liam walked over and took her by the hand into the living room over to the sofa. I went into the kitchen, Zayn followed. “Dude, where did you find her?” he asked, “She was in the shower when we got here” I sighed. “Why?” he asked, I could see the concern on his face. “Well, she was kidnapped and she says she isn't from here, so i'm guessing she ran away and chose our room to hide in. When I found her she was crying and extremely scared. She doesn't have anywhere to go and her aunt and uncle were murdered in front of her, Zayn she has no one! We have to help her” I stated. “Of course! That's awful about her family, but what can we do?” he asked.. “Well..” I started, “I think we need to take her with us” “I could help you convince management to let her come!” Zayn sounded determined, I'm glad he's on board and going to help. We walked into the living room and sat opposite from Liam and AJ, Liam was talking and AJ was writing things down for him. I really do feel bad for her. I will make sure she comes with us, no matter what management says, she will be staying with us, and I don't care if management likes it or not!

AJ's POV

Liam and I talked, well he talked I wrote for a while before Niall and Zayn came into the same room as Liam and I. They sat opposite us and Niall sat infront of me, just looking deep into my eyes, he grabbed my hand in which made me feel somewhat better, like a relief or something, I smiled at him to thank him, he smiled back. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do, I have no money, no where to go and no family. I was listening to Liam, Zayn and Niall talk but I wasn't really paying attention, not until I heard the door opening. I froze, and started to shake, what if it was him? I was scared. What if it's the Masked One? What if he's found me? He could end up hurting these boys as well as me, I kept shaking and tears started to fall. Niall noticed and came over closer to me and started rubbing my back with his thumb. Two more boys came over to the me, but it wasn't Zayn or Liam. One of them got very close to me. I cringed away, he scares me. Niall just pushed him away. “Sorry AJ, that's just Louis” he told me, I nodded, “And that's Harry” Niall said, pointing to the curly haired boy. I grabbed my pen and paper.

~Are they friends of yours~ I wrote and showed it to Niall, “Yeah” he replied. I smiled and sighed in relief, I stopped shaking when I knew they were friends. Niall stopped rubbing my back when I stopped shaking and he got up, he pulled Harry over and grabbed Louis, Liam came over to me and carefully adjusted my bandages. I winced slightly and he apologized multiple times, I know it's not his fault but it really hurt! “Louis, Harry, this is AJ” Niall said. I waved slightly. Louis came up to and got in my face. His nose was touching mine, I got nervous and started to breathe heavily. Tears started to build up in my eyes. I closed them and tried to cringe away. Liam yanked Louis away from me and smacked him on the back of his head. I let out a shaky breath. The image of the Masked One was taking over my mind, I couldn't get him to leave my head. “AJ? Are you okay?” Louis asked. I shook my head, tears finally flowing out, my leg started to throb in pain as I thought of the barbed wire and being in the basement. The wet, cold, dark, silent room. I spiralled into a full blown panic attack, I started hyperventilating and I couldn't stop.

“She's having a panic attack!” Liam said worriedly. Niall came straight up to me and engulfed me in a hug, he stared to rub my back again and whispered soothing things into my ear. I started to calm down and my hyperventilating slowed down. Niall's hug was comforting, there's something about him, he feels trustworthy and safe. Tears fell from my eyes onto his white shirt, he just kept rubbing my back and saying soft, gentle things into my ear. He just completely relaxed me, slowly I calmed down and pulled out of the hug I was in and mouthed a 'thank you' to Niall and he placed his hand on my cheek and wiped tears off my cheek with his thumb. I simply smiled at him, and he smiled back. “What happened?” Zayn asked

~Flash backs~ I shivered, ~the masked one, the wire in my leg, the cold, wet, horrible basement~ Chills and shivers ran through my body and left goosebumps all over my body, I sniffled. Then I jumped when someone touched my shoulders from behind, my head snapped around and I seen Harry. He gave me a smile and kept rubbing my shoulders and Niall held my hand. I pulled my self into a sitting position with my leg still out infront of me being elevated. Harry stopped rubbing my shoulders and sat down next to Louis. I patted the space behind me and looked towards Niall, signalling that he should sit behind me, he caught on and smiled and sat down where he was wanted. I leaned against him and rested my head on his shoulder, it felt good to be able to relax for once! I reached for the notepad and pen, and started to write.

~I honestly can't thank you guys enough for helping me!~

“it's really no problem Jay” Liam said, I cringed, they looked confused.

~Could you not call me Jay? It's what he called me.. I never liked it~ I wrote

“Oh, of course.. Sorry about that!” Liam said, he seems to apologize a lot! Even when it's not his fault! Awk, bless him! “I have a question I would like to ask you AJ” Louis said suddenly, I nodded. “How old are you?”

~Nineteen~ I wrote, Louis nodded. “Same age as me then” said Harry.

~I guess so.. but I don't know when sometime round February I think~

“Really? Me too!!” Harry said with excitement.

~Awesome!! We could be birthday buddies!! Right, you guys know about me, what about you? You're obviously not from around here, as am I! But who are you guys?!~ I wrote and showed it to them all, they all looked at each other and Liam started to talk. “We are a band, called One Direction. We came here for our tour, all of us except Niall are British, Niall's Irish” Liam said. I looked at them with wide eyes.

~YOU GUYS ARE FAMOUS?! NOW I FEEL AWFUL!! I don't want to be a burden on you guys! I have to go!~
