You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Niall's POV

The boys, the girls and I went to a club for New Years' Eve. I honestly didn't even want to go because I was thinking about Connie the whole time. I knew I wouldn't enjoy it because I wanted to spend it with her.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Harry asked.

"No, it's fine." I said.

I was too sad to do anything. I decided to leave, but I didn't tell the rest of them because they probably would've made me stay longer. When I left the club, a lot of paparazzi were outside.

"Where's Connie, Niall?!"

"Did you guys breakup?"

I didn't want to answer any of their questions because I don't even know the answer to that myself. I hopped into the car where Paul drove us and headed to the hotel.

When I got to the hotel room, I plopped onto the couch. I was watching the news and they were doing a countdown for New Years' Eve.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Happy New Years!" Everyone screamed on the television.

"Happy New Years." I said to myself in a soft voice. I pulled my phone out and I still wanted to text Connie, Happy New Years. I know she won't answer.

Connie's POV

I was eating some food in the kitchen after hanging out with Evan. My phone vibrated since someone texted me. I checked and it was Niall. I opened the text and he just wished me Happy New Years. I texted back saying:

"You too."

I feel pretty bad for seeming very dry on my text, but I don't think I'm ready to forgive him yet. What he said really hurt, although I understand he was drunk. It brought back a lot of bad memories when he says that.

I went upstairs to get ready for bed and I instantly fell asleep.

Niall's POV

Connie texted back, "You too." Well, at least she texted back. I need to fly out to see her and tell her how sorry I am for everything. I had to wait until a week until our next break to see her. I don't think I can handle waiting for that long and not speaking to her. I have no choice though.

Connie's POV

The next morning I woke up at around 11 a.m. It was pretty cold, so I wrapped a blanket around myself and walked downstairs to the kitchen. I went into my cabinets and got a bowl to eat cereal. I didn't have any plans today, but I wanted to ask a couple of friends to come over. I texted Kimberly, Michelle, Rita, Kristen and Jessie. They all agreed to come over within 15 minutes.

I heard the doorbell ring and I opened the door.

"So nice to see you guys!" I said as I gave them a hug.

"You too!" Kristen said.

We all went into my living room, just talking and catching up.

"Connie, I thought you would be spending New Years with Niall." Rita said.

"I thought I would too." I said as I looked down.

"What happened?" Michelle said in a concerned voice.

I told them everything that happened.

"Are you serious? That's so rude of him." Jessie said.

"So, I'm guessing you saw the article?" Kim asked.

"What article?" I asked.

Kim gave me her phone to show me what she was talking about. Someone photographed a picture of Evan and I hanging out and laughing. The other picture showed Niall leaving a night club by himself with a sad expression on his face. The article was talking about how we didn't spend New Years' Eve together, and questioned if we broke up.

"Well, at least they aren't wrong, I'm even questioning if we broke up." I said.

"How do you think Niall is going to feel when he sees this?" Kim said.

I shurgged my shoulders.

Niall's POV

I woke up in the afternoon time. Everyone else was still sleeping because I'm guessing they were out late. I turned on the television. I was watching the news and then it talked about how I left the club early last night.

I rolled my eyes. Why do they even care? I kept on watching and I saw a picture of Evan and Connie. They were hanging out and it seemed like they were having a good time. I was shocked and a bit hurt. She's acting like nothing is wrong between us.

Connie's POV

Everyone could tell I was upset about this while situation and they were trying to make me feel better.

"How about we go shopping right now Connie?! Jessie said.

"Yeah, you love shopping! We can have like a girls day just to get your mind off of things." Rita said.

"I love you guys." I said as I hugged them all.

I went upstairs to quickly get ready. When I finished, I went downstairs and asked them if they were ready to go.

"I'll drive!" Kim said,.

"NO!" We all said as we laughed.

Kim frowned in a joking way. We decided that Kristen should drive. We headed out the door and headed to the mall.

When we got the mall, we did a lot of shopping especially Jessie, Rita, Kristen and I. We love shopping the most. We were just walking around to different stores and trying on clothes.

"So how are you and your boyfriend Kristen?" I said as I winked at her.

She started to blush and had a big smile on her face. I guess everything is all happy rainbows for her.

"We're doing great. He's coming back in 2 days from his vacation and I can't wait to see him." She said.

"That's great! you guys are so cute." I said.

"What about you Michelle? I know you are still dealing with your boy problems." I said.

"I don't what to do. We have been really good friends for years and when he told me he liked me, I don't think I feel the same way. I just want to stay friends, but I don't know how he's going to react to that." Michelle said.

"Well, you just have to tell him and be honest about how you feel." Kim said.

"Yeah, and you can join the single crew!" I said as I laughed.

"I want to join the single crew." Kristen said as if she was mocking us.

"Shutup Kristen." Rita and Jessie said.

We all laughed and did more shopping. It's great seeing them.
