You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie's POV

These past couple of days were great. I spent a lot of time with Niall catching up and getting to know his family better. He has such a great relationship with all of them, I wished my family and I did before. His family is so welcoming, that it feels like home with them.

Tonight Niall and I were getting our suitcases packed to go to New York tomorrow. We were going to meet with others and I get to see Bernice as well! I haven't seen her this whole winter break, so it was exciting to meet up with her in New York. I haven't seen Eleanor and Sophia in forever as well, so it's always good to squeeze in some girl time with them.

I finished packing, so I went to Niall's room.

"You finished packing yet?" I asked.

"Almost, how are you finished faster than I am?" Niall said.

"Because I'm awesome of course." I said as I laughed.

Niall laughed.

"I'm so excited, we're spending New Years Eve in New York together!" Niall said.

"Yeah! We can go shopping, eating and do more shopping!" I said in an obnoxious voice.

Niall rolled his eyes. "I'm down for the eating part. Not the shopping, really, but fine." He said.

I laughed. I told Niall I could help him with some packing.

We were done all of our packing that it was already 1 in the morning. Our flight was at 8 in the morning, so we had maybe about 5 hours of sleep before our flight.

I kissed Niall on the cheek and said, "Good night Niall. I love you."

"Nights, and I love you too." He said with a smile on his face.

I went back to the guest room and fell asleep on the bed.

The next morning I woke up at around 5:30 a.m. Everyone was still sleeping, so I decided to scare Niall. This was revenge for him jumping onto my bed so we could go "explore".

I quietly walked to his room. I walked over towards his bed. I jumped onto his bed and sang really loud.

"You got to get up, time to get up
You gotta get up, it's time to get up
It's time to get up, it's time to get up
It's time to get up!"

Niall was startled and fell off the bed and onto the floor. I started laughing hysterically. Then I realized people were still sleeping, so I quickly used my hands to cover my mouth. However, I still wanted to burst out laughing.

"Only the boys and I can sing that song!" Niall said.

I laughed. "Sorry, that was revenge!"

We both got up and started to get ready. We didn't really do much except put on lazy, yet comfortable clothing. I was wearing Niall's sweater and it was so comfy and warm. I also wore leggings and out my hair in a bun.

Greg was going to drive us to the airport. We got into the car and headed to the airport.

"Are you excited?!" Niall asked.

"Yes, spending it with you obviously." I said as Niall kissed me on the lips.

"Get a room!" Greg said.

Niall and I both laughed.

When we got to the airport, surprisingly a lot of people were there. I guess news spread fast when you're in the band One Direction. A lot of fans were waiting outside. I wonder how long they waited for. We both got out of the car and grabbed out stuff from the trunks.

I'm a really claustrophobic person, especially when there are millions of teenage girls crowding around us. Niall knew, so he squeezed my hand tightly to give me reassurance. There were also security guards around us to prevent people from attacking us, but it was still scary.

I don't really know how Niall and them can deal with us everyday. When we got through the crowd, I was relieved.

"How do you deal with this everyday? I would be so scared." I said.

"You get used to it, I used to be really scared as well and the boys would give me reassurance, but now it's fine." He said.

We got through all the airport shenanigans and hopped onto our flight to New York.

I was pretty tired, so I slept through the whole flight.

All of a sudden, someone carefully shook my shoulders.

"Connie, we're in New York! Time to get out of the plane." Niall said.

I was half asleep, but I got up. When we got to the airport, there were a lot more fans. I guess everyone knew we would be here for some reason.

I was wearing sunglasses because I looked really bad at the moment, fans were screaming and I got really scared. Niall was holding my hand.

When we were walking through the crowd, a lot of people started pushing. I felt a lot of fans grabbing onto my arm. All of a sudden, someone reached over and grabbed my sunglasses and took it off my face.

"Oh no! My sunglasses!" I said.

Niall heard me, and wanted to turn back to find them.

Before he could even try to get it back, the security kept leading us to the car. When we got into the car, I felt a little upset. My parents got me those RayBan sunglasses for Christmas as well.

"Connie, I'm so sorry about your sunglasses. I was so angry and I wanted to get them back for you."

"It's fine, it's just that my parents got them for me for Christmas. It's alright." I said with a small smile on my face.

Niall's POV

"It's fine, it's just that my parents got them for me for Christmas. It's alright." She said with a small smile on my face. I could tell she was upset, even if she tried to not act like it. Her family was an average, working class family, so I would understand why she would be upset.

I pulled out my phone and tweeted,

"Guys, very glad for all your support, but can you guys please calm the craziness. I don't want any of you guys getting hurt."

"Also, due to the craziness, Connie's sunglasses were stolen and everyone was grabbing onto her arm. I love you guys, but let's not let that happen again please!"

I never want to sound like I'm complaining because I love the fans, but I feel really bad for what had happened in the airport.

We were heading to the hotel, where the boys were staying also.

When we got there, we unloaded our stuff and went into the hotel lobby. We checked into our rooms. I texted Bernice asking where everyone was.

She told us and Niall and I both went the boys' room. When we knocked on the door, Louis greeted us.

"YOU GUYS ARE FINALLY HERE!" Louis shouted as he hugged the both of us.

"I've missed you guys!" I said.

I went to hugging the other boys and I was so happy to see Eleanor and Sophia!

"Girl, we have to have girl time while we are here!" Eleanor said as Sophia squealed.

I saw Bernice and ran to give her a big hug.

"I'M SO HAPPY YOU CAME! I MISSED YOU!" She said.

"I MISSED YOU TOO!" I said.

We hung out in the hotel for a bit, until we decided to grab something to eat altogether. We decided to stay in the hotel to eat. We all sat down and ordered our food.

The whole dinner we were just talking and catching up on each others' lives. I'm so glad I'm here with all of them. They were like family to me.
