You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie’s POV

The next morning I woke up at around 5 a.m. to catch the flight to Ireland. My mom also woke up so, so she could drive me to the airport. I wore black leggings and an oversized sweater.
My mom and I headed out the door and headed to the airport.

When we got there, I opened the back trunk and got my stuff out.

“I’ll miss you mom. See you soon.” I said as I leaned in for a hug.

“See you soon. Have a safe flight and tell Niall I said hi.”She said.

I walked into the airport and went through all the airport shenanigans. I found my seat on the plane as it took off to Ireland. It was a long flight ride, but we finally got there. Niall said that he was going to wait for me at the airport.I’m so excited to see him because I haven’t seen him in a couple of months.

I walked out and there were so many people.I looked around to see if I could find Niall.

“Connie!” Someone said in an Irish accent.

I was looking into the distance and I saw him.

“Niall!” I said as I ran over to him.I hugged him tightly when I saw him. I missed him so much.

“You’re finally here in Ireland!”Niall said as he kissed my forehead.

“I know! This is awesome!I can’t wait to see your family as well. ”I said.

“Merry belated Christmas by the way!”I said as I laughed.

“You too, Connie. Come on, let’s take your stuff back into the car and head back to my parents’ house.” Niall said as he laughed.

We got into the car and headed towards Niall’s parents’ house. When we got to their house, I unloaded all my things from the car.I walked up towards the porch and rang the doorbell.
Maura opened the door and I was so happy to see her.

“Connie! It’s so great to see you! How have you been?” She said as he gave me a hug.

“It’s great to see you too! I’ve been doing well. Just a lot of school work and university applications to do.” I said.

We walked into the house and I gave a hug to Niall’s brother and dad. Greg’s wife was also here with Theo. He was so adorable. It was almost dinner time, so Maura was preparing dinner.I wanted to give Niall my gift.I went into my suitcase and took my present out.It was in a bag with a wrapping tissue paper.I walked up towards Niall.

“Merry Christmas Niall!” I said as I handed his gift.

“Connie, you didn’t have to get me anything.” He said.

“Yes, I do.You’re the one who doesn’t have to get me anything.” I said.

Niall opened his gift and he saw the red Christmas sweater.

“I have the same one, so we could match since we are “celebrating” Christmas right now.” I said as I laughed.

“Thank you so much Connie.” Niall said as he kissed my cheek.

“You forgot to open something else.” I said.

Niall looked into the bag and saw this little handmade book.Before I came, I made a book writing about the 50 things I loved about him.

“I’m really into handmade gifts.” I said.

“Connie, this is amazing.Thank you so much.” He said as he gave me a hug.It was decorated and every reason was carefully thought out.

“Wait!I have a gift for you as well!” Niall said.

He walked away and went into a room.He came out with a small little box in his hand.

“Niall! You don’t have to get me anything!I already feel bad you fly me out all the time! Seeing you is honestly enough.” I said.

“No, but you’re my princess.” He said.

I smiled and opened the box.It was a heart shaped necklace. On the back of the necklace, it had both our names on it and the day we met.

“This is so beautiful.Thank you so much.”I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Here, I’ll help you put it on.” He said.

He pushed my hair to the front and placed the necklace on my neck. We walked back into another room to join the others.I was playing with Theo and he was the cutest baby ever. His eyes are amazing and he’s just so cute.

Niall’s POV

Connie was playing with Theo and it was honestly the cutest thing ever. She was making him laugh while making weird faces.

“You’re happy to see Connie right?” Greg said as he plopped beside me on the couch.

“I am. I’m glad Theo likes her too.” Niall said.

We were just chilling when mom told us to come for dinner.We all took our seats and took a seat next to Connie. The food smelled so good.I looked at Connie and I could tell she was thinking the same thing as me.

“It’s so yummy, thank you so much for having me.” Connie said as she smiled.

I smiled at her.

Connie’s POV

“So Connie, did you decided on any universities you wanted to go to?” Niall’s dad, Bobby asked.

“I don’t know yet. I am deciding to pursue something in Business though.” I said.

“Have you ever thought of studying abroad?” He asked.

“I haven’t because I know that wouldn’t be an option for me because it’s way too expensive. I would love too if I had the opportunity to.” I said.

The whole dinner we just had a nice talk and had some food.

“Connie, did you set up your stuff in the guest room?” Maura asked.

“I haven’t yet but I will later, thank you for letting my stay here. I hope I’m not a bother.” I said.
“No of course you’re not!” Maura said.

After dinner, I went upstairs to unpack some of my things.I don’t think I brought much, plus I feel like doing some shopping here.I know, I’m a shopaholic.

Someone grabbed me by the waist.

“Are you all settled Connie?” Niall asked.

“Almost.” I said.
“Listen, I want to show you around Ireland tomorrow. So tomorrow, I will be your tour guide!” Niall said as he laughed.

I laughed.

“I think I’m going to get ready for bed.” I said.

I went to go get ready for bed.When I came out, Niall was lying down on the guest bed.

“Excuse me, that’s not your bed.” I said.

“You’re right, it’s ours.” He said.

“You’re funny, go back to your own room.” I said.

“Five bucks, you’re going to wake me up in the middle of the night to ask me to accompany you.” Niall said.

I shrugged my shoulders.

“Good night Niall.” I said as we kissed.

“Good night Connie.”Niall said.

During the middle of the night, I was tossing and turning.I always had really bad nightmares that I would wake up my parents due to my screaming. They were just random situations where I was going to be killed.

I started screaming and shouting, “No! Niall? Niall!”

Someone shook my shoulders.

“Connie! Connie! Wake up!” Someone said.

I woke up and I saw Niall.

“Oh, I’m sorry Niall. Did I wake you up?” I said.

“Well, you were screaming and calling my name. I thought something bad happened.” He said.

“I’m sorry, I just get really bad nightmares all the time.” I said.

“I’ll stay here with you.” Niall said.

I nodded.

“So, you owe me five bucks?”Niall said as he laughed.
“Technically, I didn’t ask you, you offered. So, no I don’t owe you.” I said as I laughed.

“Good night Connie.” Niall said.

“Good night Connie.” I said.

We fell asleep instantly.
