You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie's POV

The next morning I woke up. Niall was still sleeping, but I wanted to get finish the last bits of my homework. I got up and went over to the desk. I was doing my work, when someone wrapped their arms around my neck.

"Wow, you're such a nerd Connie." Niall said.

"I will take that as a compliment." I said.

"So, what's the plan for today? We have a day off today!" Niall said.

"Well, since I was here, I was planning to go on a tour of McGill University. I still don't know what I want to study, so I'm trying to keep my options opened." I said.

"Well, why don't we go today?" He said.

"Really?" I said.

"Yeah! I think it would be a good experience for you." He said.

"Thank you so much!" I said.

We both got ready and headed out the hotel. Paul was going to drive us and I gave him directions to the university. When we got there, we went in and asked about the tour information. A tour guide for the university came and told everyone, including us to follow him.

I really liked the university. It was beautiful and going to university in Montreal would be awesome. The whole time we were going on the tour, a lot of people were staring at us. Mostly it was because Niall is in the biggest boy band in the world. People started to come up to him to ask for pictures and autographs.

Since we were on a tour with other people, every single time someone went up to Niall for a photo, they all had to wait until he was done. Some people were getting really impatient and annoyed. Others were giving glares at me because they wanted to keep the tour moving along.

I love Niall for who he is as a person, but sometimes it's really hard when he has a a really big fan base. When I was tour with them, Niall wanted to explore around the different places. However, he couldn't because he didn't want to get mobbed.

I tugged on Niall's shoulder. "Niall, I think we should get going. Everyone is becoming really impatient."

A fan heard me saying that and turned to me and said, "Why do you want him to leave so fast? We never get the opportunity to see him, unlike you everyday."

I looked at her sort of hurt, but I didn't say anything to cause any drama.

"I'm sorry, but this is in no way Connie's fault." Niall said to the fan as nice as possible.

Niall and I joined back with the others on the tour.

We somehow finally got through the whole tour. I was a little disappointed that we had to rush through a bit of the tour since we were on a time limit. Since people kept on coming up to Niall, he was wasting time for the tour.

"Connie, I'm so sorry. Please don't be mad." Niall said with a concerned voice.

"It's fine." I said as I gave him a small smile. I didn't want him to think I was a little upset because his fans mean the world to him and he is so blessed to have support from them.

We went into the car and went back to the hotel. I didn't really talk that much, I was just doing some thinking. When we got back to the hotel room, I had to some more packing because I was leaving tonight.

"Connie, I heard what the fan said. Don't take things they say to heart. I'm so sorry." Niall said.

"It's alright, Niall. I understand. She's right, it's hard for people to get the opportunity to meet their idol." I said with a small smile.

Niall smiled and pulled out his phone. Afterwards, my phone vibrated because Niall mentioned me in a tweet.

"Took a tour around McGill University with connie today :)"

Niall's phone suddenly received so many notifications from the fans. I always get kind of curious as to what the fans think, so I looked at some of their replies.

People replied with, "I heard she was rushing Niall to leave while he was meeting fans .. how rude of her."

"Connie's so selfish. Us fans don't get to hang out with the boys everyday okay."

"My friend told me cause she was there when a fan yelled at her. She could've been more patient tbh."

"Why are they even together? Ugh."

"Niall deserves someone so much better jeez."

I looked at some of the replies. Niall did as well and he could tell I was about to tear up.

"Connie don-" He said.

I ran into the bathroom and closed the door. I sat on the bathroom floor. How could they say those things? I did not wanted to rush Niall to purposely get away from his fans, people on the tour were just getting annoyed because they had to wait for us.

Niall was calling my name from outside the washroom for about 10 minutes, until I finally came out. My eyes were a bit watery when I was making eye contact with him.

"Connie, don't listen to them. I'm so sorry." Niall said. He was about to give me a hug, when I turned to the direction of my suitcase.

"It's fine. Um, I'm almost done packing, so I think I'm going to the airport really soon."

"I'll come with you." Niall said.

"No, it's fine. I think I'll just ask Paul to drive me there." I said. I held my suitcase and I was about to leave the tour when I turned around.

"I think your fans are right. I don't deserve someone like you and being together won't work out."


Note: I'm so sorry I haven't been consistent in updating this fanfiction! I wanted to update yesterday, but I was at the One Direction concert in Toronto!! It was amazing and I screamed my head off. I ALSO SAW LIAM AT HIS HOTEL! He was at a balcony and he came out to wave at the fans! I was shaking!
