You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie's POV

Today is Thursday night. I'm leaving tomorrow after school to catch a flight to Montreal. It's 10 p.m. and I just finished all my homework. I needed to do a bit of packing. I wanted to pack light, so it really didn't take me a long time. When I was done, I hopped onto my bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, I was just trying to get through the school day. My mind wasn't focused on the teacher, but more on Niall's birthday.

When school finally finished, I rushed home as fast as possible. My mom was home and she was going to drive me to the airport. I went into my room to grab a couple of more things and left to go inside the car.

"Are you excited to surprise Niall?" My mom asked.

"I am! I think he's going to be really surprised. He has no idea I'm coming. I only told Harry, so he could help me with the plan." I said.

My mom and I got to the airport. I got my duffel bag from the back trunk. I hugged and said goodbye to my mom before going into the airport.

I went through all the whole airport shenanigans and then took off.

The plane ride was about an hour or two long, so I decided to do some homework. I did tell my parents I would make time for it. I was really concentrated, so I could finish it and not worry about it on the weekend. Thankfully, I finished a lot of my assignments throughout the week. School is so stressful sometimes.

The plane finally landed and I was finally in Montreal. I went into the airport and hopped onto a taxi to my hotel.

When I got to the hotel and checked in, I went to my room. It was around 9 p.m. and I wanted to get more work done. The next day, it was Niall's birthday, so I planned on staying up to say happy birthday to him.

When it was about to be 12 a.m., I had my phone out and I called him. When the clock hit midnight, he also answered his phone.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIALL!" I screamed into the phone.

Niall laughed. "THANK YOU CONNIE!" He said.

"You're getting old it's okay. Next thing you know, you'll have white hair and wrinkles." I said.

"Never, I want to be forever young." Niall said as he laughed.

"Do you have time to Skype? I miss seeing your face." He asked.

"I think I might go to bed, I've been pretty busy this week and I'm tried now. We'll Skype tomorrow? Have a great time on your birthday!!" I said.

"It would be better if you were there." He said.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He said.

"I think I'm going to bed now. Talk to you tomorrow and tell me about how your birthday went!" I said.

"Okay, sweet dreams Connie. I look forward to our Skype conversations." Niall said.

We hung up the phone and I went to get ready for bed. I'm so excited to surprise Niall. Harry told me that they were going to go to a fancy restaurant to celebrate after their concert. I guess I had to wear something a bit nice. I was going to think about that tomorrow.

Today was the day of me surprising Niall. I woke up at 10 a.m. to wake up. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I applied a bit of makeup on and went to my suitcase to find clothes for the day. I kept it pretty simple, with a jeans a t-shirt.

I wanted to walk around Montreal today to see if I could find a gift for Niall. I walked the streets of Montreal to see what store I could go into. I went into a store called Fossil and looked around for a bit. I really like their watches from there, so I decided to see if I could find one for Niall. I was looking around and I saw this silver watch, it looked really nice.

I instantly wanted to get it. Although it was sort of pricey and something I would probably never treat myself to it, I think Niall deserves it. He has done so much for me and not even this gift would be enough to thank him. The cashier put the watch in a nice box and a bag. I left the store and kept walking around more.

A couple of fans came up to me and said hi. I didn't mind if fans came up to me, but I'm honestly nothing special. They were really sweet and I kept on reminding them not to spread the word that I was here, since I was surprising Niall.

I sort of did some shopping for myself because I am guilty for being a shopaholic. I was looking around at a clothing store when Harry texted me.

Harry:

Connie! Did you get to Montreal safely?

Me:

Yup! Haha! I'm in Montreal and doing some shopping. I also found a gift for Niall!

Harry:

That's great! I just wanted to tell you that the "dinner" will be around 11 p.m. since we have a concert. Is that alright?

Me:

Fine by me! I don't really mind. Thank you so much for helping me.

Harry gave me all the details of where they were eating and everything.

Harry:

No problem :)

I'm so excited for tonight.

Niall's POV

I'm pretty excited it was my birthday today. I got some really nice birthday wishes from my fans and I had to thank them on Twitter. During sound check for the concert, they came out a cake and sang happy birthday to me.

It's a great day so far, but I still wished Connie was here for it all as well.

I went into the dressing room to get ready for the show. I was texting Connie the whole time getting ready and telling her about my day and I much I've missed her.

It was time for the show, so I put my phone away and went on stage.

Connie's POV

Right now it's about 9 p.m. at night. I was getting ready for Niall's surprise. I put on some concealer, powder, eyeliner and mascara. I wanted to curl my hair as well, so I went into my suitcase and pulled out my curling iron. I never really put any heat on my hair, but this was a special occasion.

I decided to keep it really simple and I wore a simple A-Line dress from Forever 21. I topped it off with black flats. I grabbed the gift on my bed and headed out the door.

Niall's POV

The concert finally ended and we were saying our goodbyes to the fans. Great crowd tonight and once again, everyone sang happy birthday to me. The boys wanted to take me out to eat at a nice restaurant. All of us just changed into a dress shirt and we were pretty much done.

We all got into the car to drive to the restaurant.

"This is going to be the best birthday yet." Harry said.

"Why so?" I asked.

Harry just smiled and looked away. I was really confused. I mean, eating at a restaurant is eating food and food makes me happy.

We got to the restaurant. We all took our seats and looked at the menu. Harry wasn't really looking at the menu and mostly on his phone.

"Who are you texting Harry?" I asked.

"Oh .. um .. just Bernice. Telling her about my day and everything." He said.

He seemed sort of suspicious. After we ordered our food, it came in about 10 minutes. I was really hungry, but then again, when am I never not hungry. Connie and I would eat as much as we can because we both get hungry a lot. We were just enjoying our dinner and having a good laugh.

Suddenly, someone said behind me, "Is it too late for me to grab some dinner with you guys?"

Wait a minute, I know that voice. I turned around.
