You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Niall's POV

I just made things extremely awkward between us. Connie and I were both staring at each other, but she didn't say anything. I just blew the whole thing. I looked at her and I went to reached for hand and I held it.

"I just want to tell you that I really care about you. I want to see you genuinely happy and be able to start a new chapter in your life. You're such a special person to me and I want you know that I'll be there for you. I just want you to give us a chance." I said.

Connie looked hesitant.

"It's hard for me, Niall. I'm sure you can understand that." She said.

I knew she didn't like me. All of a sudden, she grabbed my hand.

"But I really like you too. Thank you for everything and yes, I can give us a chance." She said.

Connie's POV

I was sort of hesitant.

"It's hard for me, Niall. I'm sure you can understand that." I said.

His face seemed like he was really upset.

I grabbed his hand.

"But I reall like you too. Thank you for everything and yes, I can give us a chance." I said.

Niall smiled really wide. He was about to lean in to kiss me on the lips, when I stopped him.

"Maybe some other time." I said as I laughed.

It was around 8:30 p.m. We walked back to my house hand-in-hand. When we entered the living room where everyone was, Bernice was the first to squeal. I smiled at her. Everyone was really happy for us.

"It's getting late guys. We should head back to our hotel." Liam said.

Everyone was getting up to leave. Bernice and I said our goodbyes to everyone. I turned to Niall and asked,

"So, what time is your flight?" I said in disappointment.

"11 a.m." Niall said. He lifted my chin and said, "Hey, don't be sad. We can still say our goodbyes at the airport and we'll keep in touch. Maybe if you convince your parents, you and Bernice can come on tour with us." He said.

I smiled and nodded. Niall kissed me on my forehead.

"Hey Connie, Harry said he'll drop me off at my house. We can go to the airport tomorrow." Bernice said.

I nodded and everyone left. I waved to everyone and closed the door behind me.

How did I ever get so lucky to find someone like him?
