Don't Forget Me

Zayn's POV
I have been gone for a while so I decided to head back to Harry and Niall's. I see Liam walking in front of me but I don't say anything because I am pretty sure that he is still pissed. He walks into the apartment and closes the door. I come in like 10 seconds later. I am about to say 'hey' but Liam is talking so I don't. What he says shocks me.

"I saw Ashlynn, and she has a 2 year old daughter named Eliza, and Eliza calls Ashlynn's boyfriend, Jake, daddy, but Zayn is actually her father." All the guys mouths dropped to the ground.

"What did you just say?" I ask from behind him.

Liam turns around so that he is facing me.

"what are you talking about, I didn't say anything." Liam says trying to play dumb.

"Stop playing dumb you idiot, now do I actually have a daughter?" I ask. He sighs

"She made me promise not to tell you, but yes you do." He says.

I walk over to the couch and sit down, everybody's eyes are on me.

"What's her name?" I finally manage to ask.

"Eliza, she looks just like her mom." Liam says with a smile.

"And she has a boyfriend, and my daughter calls him daddy?" I say while playing with my fingers.

"Ummm, yeah." Liam says.

"How's Ash, I mean does she look happy, is she doing good?" I ask.

"Well if you consider working in a Starbucks good, then yeah, and she is very happy you should have seen the way her face lit up when she saw Eliza come into Starbucks." He says.

"Is she still at the cafe?" I ask while finally looking up at him.

"Well when I was there she had just left for her lunch break." He replies. I grab my keys and start to walk out the door.

"Where are you going?" Harry asks. "To see Ash."

"But she is on lunch break." Niall says. "Well she can't be on break all day, and when she gets back I intend on being there." I say while walking out the front door.

I pull up to Starbucks and wait in my car for a minute. I am really about to see my first love, the girl I left when she was pregnant with my child? I am about to see the mother of my child! Liam says that Eliza looks just like her mom, I am glad, cause Ashlynn is just gorgeous. I hope I will get to watch Eliza grow up to be just like her mom.

I step out of my car, and just when I am about to walk into the cafe a car pulls up. Through the window I can see a blonde giving a guy a kiss, then she reaches over to the backseat and says goodbye to a little girl. She gives the guy another kiss then opens the door.

Before she closes it she says "Eliza, be good, if daddy says you are good I will bring you home a cookie." Wait that's Ash, and Liam is right that guy is called daddy by my daughter. The car doesn't pull away when she closes the door.

"Ash." I say while walking up to her. She turns to look at me.

"what the hell are you doing here?" She asks.

"is she in there?" I ask.

" is who in there?" She asks even though she knows who I am talking about.

"Don't play dumb, is my daughter in that car?" I ask raising my voice.

"No" she replies.

"We were together for a long time Ash, which means I can tell when you are lieing, and when your telling the truth, and I know for a fact that you are lieing." I say while walking towards the car and putting my hand on the handle, just when I am about to open it she pushes me away.

"What are you doing?" She yells at me.

"I am going to see MY daughter." I yell back.

"Like hell you are, you don't have a right to see her, you haven't been there all the times she had fell and gotten hurt, you weren't there to comfort her, I was, and I am not going to just let you barge into her life like this." She yells and tries to push me back but I don't budge. Tears are streaming down her face. I walk towards the car and try to open the car door, but it's locked.

A guy walks towards her and says "babe, is there a problem here?" To ash.

"Who is this?" He asks while pointing to me.

"That's Zayn." She says to him. His facial expression immediately changes.

"you mean the Zayn that cheated on you, and left you to be with the other girl?" He asks.

She bites her lip and looks at the ground. What is he talking about?

"What the hell are you talking about, I never cheated on Ash." I yell.

"Then why did you leave " he yells back while taking a step towards me.

Ash tries to push him back "Babe, just get in the car and leave ok?" She tries to tell him.

"I left because I wasn't ready to be a father to that little girl in the car, but now I am." I yell. Ashlynn gives up her efforts of trying to get him to leave.

"Wait, you mean that Eliza isn't my child?" He yells at Ashlynn.

"I-I'm sorry." She sobs.

"I can't believe you, you made me believe that she was my kid, when she's not." He yells then slaps her.

Oh hell no, he just slapped a woman, and not any woman, he slapped MY Ash. I walk over to him and punch him right in the face. I tackle him to the ground while Ashlynn gets Eliza out of the car. I just keep punching him and punching him. Once he has had enough I get up off of him, and look around for Ashlynn, I walk inside and there she is sitting at a table holding a crying toddler. She is crying too, I walk up to her.

She looks me in the eyes "h-he hit m-m-me." She sobs.

"I don't have anywhere t-to go, I c-can't go back th-there.." She stutters.

"Why don't I take Eliza and watch her, while you clean yourself up in the bathroom?" I ask. She nods her head and hands me a crying Eliza. She goes into the bathroom.

"Hey baby girl, it's ok, you don't have to cry, Zayn's right here." I whisper to her while rubbing her back. I didn't say daddy, because Ashlynn would probably get mad at me, plus Eliza thinks that Jake is her daddy.

Eliza lays her head down on my head and calms down. I think she fell asleep. Ash walks out of the restroom looking as pretty as ever. She walks towards me with a shocked expression on her face.

"What?" I ask while she just stares at me.

"Oh nothing, it's just that I haven't been able to get her to fall asleep in my arms since she was 6 months old."

I look at Eliza and smile. "She just wanted her daddy." I say while looking her straight in the eye.

Just when she is about to talk I say "now where are you and Eliza going to stay?" I ask.

"I don't know." She mumbles.

"Well you can't stay with me, but I know the perfect place." I say and walk out to my car with Eliza still in my arms and Ash following me. I hand Ash Eliza, since I don't have a car seat she is going to need to hold her.


(10 minutes later)

We pull up to the apartment complex and I hop out of my car, and jog around to the other side to open Ashlynn's door, she smiles and gets out. I grab Eliza from her. I lead the way up to a apartment and walk in, she follows behind me. I walk into the living room with Ash still following.

"Guys?" I say and everybody looks at me.

"Oh my god!" Louis yells and runs to Ashlynn and gives her a big hug and twirls her around.

"Ash?" Harry asks while tearing up. Out of all the lads I think he and Niall were the closest to her. She nods her head and runs to him and engulfs him in a hug.

"I can't believe it's really you." He says smiling.
