Lyric's P.O.V.

When i got home i went straight to my room and plopped down on my bed and i was out like a light.

I was awakened by my cellphone ringing i turned to look at my alarm clock and saw that is was 6 in the morning.
" whoever is calling me its 6 in the moring what the heck are you doing calling me at this hour." i practically sreamed into the phone
"Well hello to you too." he said with an irish accenct
"Niall ah ok let me rephrase that Niall it's 6 in the moring what the heck are you doing calling me at this hour." i yelled into the phone again
" i just wanted to know if you wanted to get some breakfast."
" uhh when ."
" in half an hour." he replied
" ok fine but you're gonna have to drive me to and from my softball practice ok."
" yea sure see ya in a bit bye love."
" bye niall." i hung up the phone rolled out of bed and i threw my phone on the bed since i didnt really have to time to shower and i would burn a couple of pounds at practice which meant i would sweat it didn't really matter. i went to the living room and i started diging through my suitcase and i finally found what i was gonna wear to practice http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=77973452and then i decied i would take some extra clothes since i was gonna shower over there and i packed http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=77987769 in my bag and waited until niall got here. he got here 5 minutes after .
" hey you ready ." he asked
"yep lets go im starving."
we both walked down to the car in silence. niall grabbed my bag and opened the door for me. we got out of the buliding and started towards the car. i opened the door and was attacked by hugs once they they pulled away i said my goodmornings and i sat in the middle of liam and harry. while niall put my bag in the trunk . when louis started the car and started pulling out of the parking lot i reached to turn on the radio and katy perry's "wide awake song came on i turned it up all they way.i boppping my head to the music when some turned it off.
"Heeyyy what the heck!" i said
" well im sorry but it was ethier the music or go deaf." harry said with fingers in his ears
"man you big baby. fine have it your way." i said to harry slightly annoyed. we rode the rest of the way in silence
" im sorry lyric." harry said while playing with his fingers i put my hand on his shoulder
" its ok i just kinda forgot that you guys aren't used to that and i was being really rude so im sorry to." i said and gave him a reasuring smile and he smiled back.thats when louis parked the car in a little cafe. we all walked in and they went to order and i went and found a table. i was looking around the small and cozy cafe when i saw kayla the catcher on london's batting divas she noticed me too and she started to walk towards me.

Niall's P.O.V.

When i turned around to go to Lyric to ask her what she wanted to eat i saw that a girl was walking towards her. when she got to the table lyric stood up and they started talking lyric looked kinda hurt. so i rushed to her side. lyric sighed in relief
"oh who is." she asked as she turned her attenion towards me
" he's my.."
" im her boyfriend." i cut her off and and grabbed her hand. i gave her a reasureing squeeze and she played along.
" how the heck did you get him as a boyfriend lyric. you're not even close to being pretty. wait yeah no i see it now you are pretty,pretty ugly." she spat out at lyric. lyric just stood there emotionless.
" can you leave because you're giving me headache and your making wanna throw up." i said while gagging
she huffed at me and turned on her heal and left. i turned to look at lyric only to find her looking at me too.
" lyric are you ok." she nooded in response
"are you sure."
"yeah why wouldn't i be." she said with a fake smile plastered on her face.before i could tell her anything the guys came back with plates of food when they saw the worried experation on my face liam looked at me with concern i mouthed i'll tell you later so lyric wouldn't say anything or get mad that i told them we all ate in silence . when lyric finished her food she looked at her phone and got up.
"come on guys i've gotta go or im gonna be late." we all got up and followed her to back to the car.she went to the trunk and got her bag and took it to the car. she sat in the passenger seat and took out what i assumed was her catcher's gear. she started to put that on and was done in 5 minutes. we got to the training facility and she waved and walked towards the door but before she went in she turned around to face us and smiled a sly smile then went into the building.as we went back to our flat i texted her
Niall: hey call when practice is over so i can pick you up ok =)
Lyric:ok i'll call you
i know that lyric is tougher that i give her credit for but i dont know what to tell her i want her to be with me so i can hold her and tell her that everything is going to be ok.she's tough but shes also very fragile.and it looks like she's been bothered by her several times and i could tell that she really really hated that girl becuse her usual chocolate brown eyes went dark almost black and it hurt me to see her like that. now i swear i'll protect her no matter what i thought to myself and i was determined to make her my real girlfriend.
