Ch. 14 Interviews
Niall’s P.O.V
Ever since the game lyric has been getting calls for interviews and right now me and the boys are at Louis and Harry’s place to watch her interview on The Allen Carr show. She’s been away for a week getting interviewed 24/7 and she still has her cast on.
“Alright be quiet it’s starting.” Zayn said
“Hey doesn’t she have another one later today.” Harry asked
“Another what.” Liam asked Harry confused
“Another interview. Doesn’t she?” he said
“Oh yeah I think she has one on loose women. I think I’m not sure.”Louis said
Lyric’s P.O.V
Today I had an interview on The Allen Carr show. And I’m waiting for my cue to go out onto the set. but before I did I looked at myself one more time on the mirror. I was wearing this http://www.polyvore.com/day_out/set?id=85556282 . But instead of wearing the high heels I’m wearing black flats. Well the left one since I still have my cast on but I went to the doctor and he recommend me a cast that I could still walk in (kinda like the cast demi lovato had) so I waited for my cue.
“well give it up for the lovely Lyric Gonzales.”Allen said as he got up from his chair to greet me.
“oh you look lovely.” He said while guiding me to the couch. I sat down and looked around and I guess he noticed and obviously asked about it.
“are you ok love. Its like you’ve never seen a tv set before.” He said slightly laughing
“actually I haven’t this is my first time doing an interview outside of ESPN and stuff.” I replied
“oh wow really damn girl you got to get out more.” He said all sassily which caused me to laugh
“but yeah no this is my first time I swear in my dressing room I was fangirling” but Allen cut me off by laughing
“no im serious ‘cause I always watch this show and I know that rarely athletes don’t usually get interviewed so I was really surprised."
“oh your too kind love,well what do you want to drink.” He asked taking out a bunch of drinks I have never heard of. He kept asking me if I wanted a beer and stuff but I don’t drink.
“Allen im sorry but I don’t drink. So like do you have like a Gatorade or something….” I said trailing off “ummm oohh we have dr.pepper is that alright.” He said picking up a two liter bottle of dr.pepper
“yeah that’s perfect ya know we Texans love this. this is awesome thank you.” I said while twisting the cap and taking a sip from the bottle.
“Alright well lyric how old are you love.” He asked
“Um I’m 19 going to be 20 in July.” I said
“Oh ok so when did you start to play softball.”
“Oohh as long as I can remember I think I started when I was 3 or 4.”
“Oh ok so when did you get on the team triple threat all-stars.”
“um I was given the offer when I was 17. I didn’t immediately start playing there was already a catcher so I was a back up if she got hurt or something I would fill in for her.”
“oh so when did you start playing.”
“I started playing when I was like 18 ‘cause the catcher she got pregnant so after that she backed off and I was the new catcher.and I guess I was really good and well yeah.”
“and you’re the one that’s behind the home base or whatever right.”
“yes.” I said while slightly nodding
“and now you’ve made an out of the ball park hit right and no woman has ever been able to do that not even a man can do that .” Allen said almost surprised
“yeah I know and because of that my foots in a cast.”
“ha that was my next question what happened.”
“oh um I guess that when I was batting I use the right leg for leverage so I when I made contact with the ball the um speed of the ball and how hard I hit it my foot absorbed all of the shock waves and stuff so that resulted in my foot spinning in a 95 degree angle and therefore fracturing it.
“oh wow and I know you that you have made commercials and that you model is that right.”
“yeah actually I’ve made 3 commercials for Gatorade and I model for Nike, puma, adidas, and everlast, and stuff yeah.
“yeah and we actually have pictures of you modeling here.” He said as he turned to the tv screen behind us.”

“oh my god girl your fit” he said as they went through the pictures
“mhm.” I said
“oh come on love you look gorgeous.”
“Yeah yeah” I said as I rolled my eyes.
“ok now I have to ask about Niall.” He said uhgg seriously really oh my god.
“ok” I said simply
“Now he and the boys were at the game weren’t they.”
“Yes yes they were” I said while nodding
“Now when you were going to bat all of the boys and they girlfriends said something right. But Niall said “yeah that’s my girlfriend.’ Didn’t he.”
“Yeah actually when he said that I was thinking you cheeky bastard thanks a lot now I can’t stop smiling.”I said as a smile grew onto my face. This caused Allen to laugh.
“are you serious?”
“Yeah and because of that I had to block him and my best friends out. I had to block my own boyfriend and my best friends out so I could focus.” I said
“Was it hard? Ya know blocking them out.”
“Not really, well except Louis he kept talking to me during the game.” I said while holding back a giggle.
“Oh wow. Well when is Niall gonna meet the family.” Allen said while wiggling his eyebrows at me.
Niall’s P.O.V.
“Oh wow. Well when is Niall gonna meet the family.” Allen said while wiggling his eyebrows at Lyric. The boys’ entire gaze went from the TV to me. But I kept my gaze on the tv waiting for her answer.
“Well um never. He will never meet my family.” Lyric said looking at the floor
“What, why. They don’t like Niall or what.” Allen said
“No I’m sure they do but, I mean they’re dead so…” lyric trailed off
“Oh my god I’m so sorry.” Allen said putting his hand on lyric’s
“Eh it’s ok that was nine years ago I’m over them.” She said plastering a smile on her face. And Allen gave her a sly smile.
“And even if they didn’t like niall I really wouldn’t care I would still be with him whether they liked it or not.” Lyric said shrugging. Making me smile a little
“alright well stick around for more. Ladies and gentlemen Lyric Gonzales.” He said gesturing to her. the interview was over now Zayn reached for the remote and turned off the TV silence washing over us.
“well I certainly did not know she did commercials.” Louis said breaking the silence
“yeah and I didn’t know she modeled.” Liam added
“yeah lyric’s fit mate.” Harry said
“oi back off she’s mine.” I said while scolding him. And he threw his hands up in defeat.
“alright well im gonna go bye guys.” I said while getting up and heading towards the door.
“alright love you man.” They all shouted
“I love you guys too.” I said while holding back laughter. I got In my car and drove to my flat. I opened the door and went straight to my room and plopped onto the bed. And I slowly drifted to sleep
