My Life: Welcome To Me
College
Then everything changed and started to get better?
I did well in my GSCE'S, my final exams in secondary school. I guess all that studying paid of. I was able to get into college with these grades. After a while I chose Bedford College. I decided to study Media Production BTEC, Level 3, Extended Diploma. And to tell you the truth when I started my course I loved it.
It was fascinating learning about the history of film and interesting famous directors, how to film with professional camera's. What different shots while you were filming from a camera were called, like a close up or a mid shot. And how to look more into the depths of films and what certain things meant.
We also looked into celebrities and how much money they earned and how they are portrayed to the public. And I found that so interesting and loved learning about it.
Though the things I found most interesting was filming. I loved being the person holding the camera, shooting in certain techniques. Knowing how to pull of certain affects and things like that. I also loved screenwriting which seemed to me like writing a story though just in a different format.
College was great.
I made a few friends.
I wasn't as rushed a I used to be. Everyone seemed to be more mature, like not just disliking you because of what you look like, like in my secondary school. There were all kinds of different people there.
Though I didn't get on with a few girls in my course but they mostly ignored me and I was fine with that, I'd rather them ignore me than say nasty things about me behind my back.
I decided near the end of my first year I would love to become a Camera operator when I grew up. To this day I still hold on to that dream.
My first year for the most part, compared to my secondary school was great, much more relaxed and excepting than secondary school.
But I should of known that it wouldn't last...
With my mum mysteriously disappearing to the doctors now and again.
The fact I needed surgery on my head and the date for that was coming closer and closer.
My sister becoming a bit more closed of.
My parents arguing a bit more than they usually do...
And my grandfather ending up in hospital.
After everything looking up for me I really, really should of known it wouldn't last, I should of recognised the signs. There are a lot of things I should of done...
@iceskatez
Not all of you do though.... I've talked to a lot of americans on forums and when I said college every single one thought I meant University?
Its just a differ in language, I wasn't calling you stupid.
I've gotten comments like.
Oh you must of been really clever to get in that early.
I didn't realise you were that old?
Whats it like in University?
And I had to explain to them that the college I was talking about was not University. So I just assumed you called University Colleges sometimes, because so many people from America that I talked to seemed to think I meant University when I said college?
And again it wasn't meant to be calling you stupid, I'm sorry you took it that way. :(
