The Way

No He Won't Tell Me

I woke up the next morning in my bed alone. The sun was shinning around the edges of the blinds covering the window. The first thing I did was grab my phone and called Harry.

"Good morning Lexi, I can't talk long, I've got an interview this morning. But how did you sleep?"

"Well, I thought you were done with work for a month or so?"

"This came up, but after this I'm off the hook for the next five weeks."

"Do you want to meet for lunch?"

"I can't, Eleanor basically moved me out for the next few days, she says she wants to spend time with you before I take you away from her forever."

"I miss you already." I sighed.

"I'll see you tonight though, at the rehearsal." I smiled to myself.

"Yes. You and the boys hanging out today?"

"Probably just hanging at Niall's playing Fifa." Then I could hear someone saying something to him. "Sorry babe, got to go. I'll text you later all right?"

"Yeah. I love you."

"Love you too." I threw my phone aside and rolled over.

"Lexi!" Eleanor sang from the other side of my closed bedroom door.

"I'm still sleeping!" I groan back. The handle turns and the door opens to reveal both El and Dani peering into the room at me.

"We've got a nail appointment at noon and we've yet to confirm with the food guys the food. We also have to make sure Lou knows exactly what time we need her for the hair and makeup and well as having Lux at the church to get ready."

"Lou already knows the times and stuff."

"We're still supposed to check and stuff." Also since the boys are working they've asked us to pick up their remaining families from the airport." Dani added.

"Then there's the dinner and which should take a few hours tonight."

"I still don't know where that is."

I was pulled up from the comfort of my bed and thrown some clothes with me into my bathroom. I took my shower still wondering where I was going to meet all of Harry's extended family. The past few days had felt very hectic. So much to do with getting married. I just wanted to it to all stop so I could just sit and so nothing.

I got out of the shower, put on the dress and tights that were thrown at me. I brushed my hair and then left the bathroom. I could hear Dani, El and Perrie talking. They sounded very serious.

"How come you didn't tell us?" I think El asked.

"It didn't seem like a big deal, I guess."
"You know that's BS." Perrie stated firmly.

"I didn't want you guys to tell Lex cause she's been so stressed out with the wedding and she was so excited that we all were walking with each other. And when Liam and I try to talk about it, we fight, I just don't think I can walk with him."

"Lexi should be upset, she'd probably feel bad for making you walk with him."

"I know, I just didn't want her to have to stress about switching and stuff, I just-"

"It'd stress her out more cause she would feel like she forced you to walk with him."

"Just talk to her, she'll understand."

"What will I understand?" I walked in pretended not to have heard the whole conversation. Eleanor, Dani, and Perrie went silent.

"Liam and I broke up." She looked down at her hands.

"I had no idea, when did this happen?"

"A few days ago."

"And you don't want to walk with him?"

"Not really, but I understand if you don't want to switch Bo and I."

"No, please walk with Niall, the last thing I want is my best friends to feel miserable."

After we talked we went to our brunch date. Having a salads and fruit, so my skin wouldn't look like crap at the wedding. At least that's what Eleanor said when i first ordered the chicken strips. She frowned and nearly yelled at me I couldn't afford to eat it. So instead of just me getting to eat healthy, she suggested we all should choose a salad, and so we ordered one massive Cesar salad, dressing on the side and individual cups of berries.

As we waited for our food I felt drained from all energy already, and we still had all the things on El's list to do. Inside the cafe smelled of waffles and freshly baked muffins. The walls were covered in pastel colors, stripes lines the walls having the potential to look very tacky, but they didn't. There were fresh flowers at all the tables and most importantly no one was there. No fans, no paparazzi. Life was good when you went somewhere with out anyone unwanted tagging along.

Our food didn't take much time to arrive and as soon as it did we dug in. I started with my fruit cup that had some yoghurt at the bottom. It was creamy and all the berries were sweet.

"You texted Liam and Niall right?" I asked Eleanor across the table.

"No, I'll do that right now." She wipped out out her phone and typed quickly putting it back in her pocket.

We talked throughout our meal.

"So I saw Harry this morning going in and out of your room this morning, hard to imagine you didn't hear him." Eleanor began.

"He's probably packing my bags for the honeymoon."

"Do you know where you're going?"

"Nope, he won't tell me, and he knew you guys would tell me if he told you, so he's packing my bags himself, so I don't know where it is we're going."

"What if he packs something you don't like, I know you have a billion clothes in that closet and you barley wear half of them." Perrie giggled.

"He said he'd buy me new ones then. He really does have it all planned out."

"But you should still have El call and make sure he checks on the reservations and stuff, to make sure you've actually got them." Dani suggested.

"Yes, I've bugged Harry about everyday, I've even made him speaker phone it once."

"So you know where I'm going?" I was getting excited. I hoped for a private bongulo type guy away from everyone and everything. No cell service, not people, not anything. Just he and I.

"No, he wouldn't let me hear which hotel or where it was, but I've made sure he's got the reservation." She looks at the time.

"We've got to go." She stands throwing down a some money on the table before we follow her out the door. I was the one getting married but it seemed El was the one who was in charge.
