I place file number 4 in Liam’s outstretched hand. He takes it and gives it a once over, dropping his jaw in surprise, “This is what you want?”
“Yeah. Why?” I stare at him in confusion.
“It’s just, this file is a bit more…dangerous.” He whispers out.
I frown at him, “You don’t have any faith in me?”
He snaps his head up at that, “It’s not that, it’s just I don’t want any troubling factors to come into this assignment.”
“What do you mean by that?” I push for an answer.
He looks away from me, fists crunching the paper under his worried expression.
