Adopted

Megan's POV

I sat silently in the car as Louis drove. He told me we had to go to the airport. To go to London. I was pretty bummed. I imagined I would get adopted but they would live close to the orphanage and Hayes. But London isn't even close. I just don't want Hayes, Alexandra, and Lexi to forget about me. My leaving probably even affect Hayes. He has a bunch of other friends, as for me I only have three.

"What's wrong, Megan?" Louis asked.

"Nothing just missing someone." I said.

"Are you missing the boy that brought you that?" He asked pointing to the unopened box.

"Yeah, he's been my best friend for three years." I said.

"Oh." Was all Louis said. Soon enough we got to the airport and were escorted to a private jet by security guards.

"You re the only one being adopted from the U.S. The other boy decided to adopt in the U.K." Louis said once we were seated.

"Oh okay." I said wishing I could stay in North Carolina so I'd still be close to Hayes, who is also my only friend that's my age. Once the plane was in the air I took out my phone and put my ear phones in. I put my music on shuffle and rested my head on the window and stared at North Carolina from this high. It was beautiful. Before I knew it I was falling asleep as we kept getting higher and higher, farther and farther from where I spent my whole life. Finally I was asleep. I woke up after about a four hour nap. I asked Louis how much longer. Three more hours he said. So I took out my book The Fault in Our Stars and started reading from page thirty-seven where I left off. Three hours later I finally finished the book. Lets just say I cried for like thirty minutes.(I'm not saying why.) The pilot said we would be landing in ten minutes. So I sat there and thought about the book. Thinking of how it could've ended differently and happily, instead of the way it did. The ten minutes flew by quickly, so I Louis grabbed my one suitcase and I grabbed the box Hayes gave me and my phone and walked of the private jet. We walked to Louis car and he put my suitcase in the trunk while I got into the front seat.

"Are you excited to meet the other girls?" Louis asked.

"I guess." I said, not wanting them to hate me. I'm not very good with new people, in very shy at first and I don't want them to think I'm a weirdo. Oh well I guess time will tell if they think I'm one or not. Soon enough we were at the house, or shall I say a MANSION! I stared in awe and took a picture and sent to Hayes. I opened the car door and stood there and stared at the mansion.

"Are you coming or not?" Louis asked laughing. I nodded and started to follow Louis. "You don't talk much huh."

"I'm just a little shy around new people, Mr. Tom- I mean Louis." I replied.

"Oh." Was all he said and unlocked the front door. He walked in and told me to follow him, so I did. He led me up the stairs to a huge, hot pink colored room.

"This is your room, Megan." Louis said. "I'll let you unpack and come get you around six, okay?"

"Okay." I said. He walked out the room as I plopped onto the soft, king sized bed. It felt like I was sitting on a hill made of marshmallows. After a few minutes later I took my phone out and seen that Hayes replied.

Wow. Nice mansion. I miss you!

I replied: I miss you too! I'll FaceTime you later so you can see the inside of it. Also so Sky can meet Louis. Since she loves the band.

Great! I can't wait! :)

Me either. I typed. A few seconds after I sent it a notification said I had 20% left, so I walked over to my suitcase, laid it down, and opened, then took out my charger. I walked over to an outlet next to the bed and plugged it in. I walked back to my suitcase and took out some clothes and seen two other doors. I went to the one closest to the door to find a big bathroom. Whoa, I thought. I close the door and walked to the other door to find a walk-in closet! I walked in and found a bunch of hangers and started to put my clothes on them, it only took about fifteen minutes, since I don't have lots of clothes. Then, I started to take out my pictures and put them in the empty picture frames that were on my new dresser. Soon enough it was six so I walked down stairs. To find Louis, four other boys, and four girls that looked the same age as me. "Boys, Girls, this is Megan." Louis said introducing me. "Hi." I said quietly. "She's a little shy at first. But I'm sure she'll get use to you all." Louis said. "Megan this is Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn, Ariel, Bella, Mona, and Esmie. Girls this is Megan. They all said hi and went back to their conversations. "Liam, can you take us to the movies?" Ariel asked. "Sure. We can go now if you want." Liam said. "Umm… can I stay here?" I asked Louis quietly. "Yeah. But are you sure?" Louis said. "We might be gone for a while." "Yeah I'm sure. I have to FaceTime one of my friends back home." I said. "Okay. Are you going to be fine?" Louis asked. "Yeah." I said. "Well here's my number, if anything bad happens." He said handing me a piece of paper with his number on it. Once everyone left I went upstairs to FaceTime Hayes. I grabbed my phone and took it off the charger and pressed the FaceTime button on Hayes contact in my phone. He picked up a few seconds later. "Hey Megan!" He said smiling widely. "Hey!" I said back. "So how's it going in London?" Hayes asked. "Great. The only person I've really talked to is, Louis." I said. "Who else is there?" He asked. "The other four boys in the band, and the girls they adopted." I said. "Megan you're going to have to talk to them. Just be nice and not shy!" He said. "Hey I can't help it if I'm shy." I said in defense. "Okay okay." He said holding his arms up in surrender. "Anyway would you like me to show you around the house?" I asked. "Duh." He said. "This is my room." I said movie my phone screen so he could see the whole room. "That's huge!" Hayes said loudly. "Megan, you are so lucky!" I started to walk out my room to show him the other rooms, when I heard someone scream my name. I looked at my phone screen to see Sky. "Megan!" Sky screamed again. "Hey Sky." I said smiling. "When are you coming back?" Sky asked. "I've only been gone for about a day Sky. But maybe in a few months." I said to her. "B-but a few months is too long." She says while her lips quivered again. "Sky if you be very good I have special surprise for you." I said. "Okay." She said walking away with tears in her eyes. Soon I finished showing Hayes around the huge house. "I wish my house was that big." He said while I smiled. After a few minutes of silence he spoke up. "Umm… did you open the present I have you yet?" "No. But I will on my birthday since that's when you wanted me to open it originally." I said to him. He smiled at me and said thank you. "No problem." I replied. I looked at the time and noticed if been talking to Hayes for about two hours, but I didn't care. Hayes started talking about the tour him and some other people were going on since they all are famous Viners. About twenty minutes later I heard voices down stairs. "Hayes I have to go I think the others are back." I said to him. "Bye. Skype me soon." He said. "Bye." I said ending the call. I walked down stairs and as I turned the hall leading to the kitchen, I almost bumped into Louis, who was holding a McDonald bag. "We went eat so I got you some chicken nuggets, fries, and a coke. I mean what kid doesn't like that stuff?" He chuckled. "Thanks. That's my favorite." I said walking back up the stairs. "We also rented some movies to watch so if you want you can come watch then too." He said. "No, thank you. I'll just watch TV in mg room. Thanks though." I said to him. "Uh okay." He said as I walked upstairs to my room with my food in my hands. I wish I could go back to the orphanage. I thought to myself.
