''What is he talking about Alice?''

I looked at Harry, his eyes showed guilt, though I saw some satisfaction too. I turned to look at Niall, he was more confused than ever, his lips slightly parted and his eyebrows furrowed.

''Nothing..'' I whispered but loud enough for him to hear.

''I can't believe you.'' Niall said with a broken voice full of disappointment, he turned on his heel, walking away.

''Niall wait!'' I yelled, running after him, leaving Harry behind to continue his cigarette.

''Niall!'' I shouted, he didn't even turn to look at me he just ignored me.

''Listen to me!'' I yelled, finally catching up with him.

''Why should I?'' He said, he was now facing me.

His expression was beyond angry, but he tried not to show it and just be calm.

''Because it was nothing. I swear! I would never do it on purpose.''

''Then why'd you do it?'' he reasoned.

''I.. I don't know.. It was just on the spur of the moment..''

''And how many times did you two kiss?'' He asked calmly, crossing his muscular arms over his chest.

''I..'' I looked at the floor ashamed. ''Two..''

''Two? Once wasn't enough for you? You had to kiss him twice?'' He yelled, showing two fingers to emphasize 'twice'.

''I told you Niall it-''

''Why did you even agree to going out with me in the first place Alice? I actually thought we could've become more than friends.''

He whispered this time stepping closer to me, his now watery eyes staring back at mine.

''But with that jackass in your house, there's no doubt of what you two are doing.''

I looked at him now getting angry. He called Harry a jackass and what does he mean by 'what we're doing'?

''He isn't a jackass.'' I said calmly, while closing my eyes to restrain myself from yelling.

''I know him much better than you do Alice! He is a cold-hearted douchebag and you shouldn't even invite him to stay with you. You moved here three. weeks. ago, I moved here when I was ten. Ten! And that asshole has been bullying me and the rest of the lads ever since!''

I've never seen Niall so angry and hurt before.

A tear escaped his eye but he quickly wiped it away.

''Harry bullies you?''

''Yes.. He used to beat me up regularly but when he met you, he hardly ever does it anymore.''

''I'm so sorry Niall, I didn't know..'' I said, tearing up.

''Do you like him Alice?''

''What-''

''I need to know.''

''Niall..''

''Tell me!'' he said, half yelling.

Do I?

I honestly don't know.

But when we kissed, I felt a spark.

I felt more actually.. I felt butterflies.

Safeness.

Comfort.

But.. I'm not quite sure if I felt..

Love.

Something inside me was telling me that he isn't as Niall describes him.

With me he is..

Gentle.

Caring.

Understanding.

I looked at Niall. He was waiting for an answer.

''Yes..''
