I woke up by the sound of my alarm. Monday, the worst day of the week.

I got up and quickly changed into my clothes. An over-sized, orange jumper, along with a pair of black leggings and my orange Tron shoes. I let my hair down in it's natural shape and I grab my phone.



I walked in my room to see if Harry has woken up yet. He hasn't, he was still sleeping. I went downstairs and made him tea and brought him some aspirins.

''Harry.. Wake up.'' I whispered, caressing his cheek.

''Mhmm..'' he grunted.

I smiled and chuckled. ''What?''

''Keep doing that.''

''Keep doing what?''

''Waking me up like that.'' he stated. I smiled and kept caressing him, I don't know why I did it but I suddenly got the urge to kiss his cheek. He smiled, his eyes still closed.

''I made you tea.'' I whispered.

He opened his eyes and sat straight so I could give him his tea. I also gave him the aspirins to help him with the hangover.

''Thank you..'' he trailed off.

''For what?''

''For taking care of me last night and now..'' I smiled.

''Anytime Harry.'' I messed with his curls and left so he could change.

We were now at school. I gave Harry a ride, since he'll basically live with me for the next month.

''Hey Niall!'' I saw Niall at his locker and went over to him.

''Hey Alice. How are you?''

''I'm fine. Yeah.. You?''

''Same..''

We started walking together in silence.

''So.. um Alice, may I ask you something?'' Niall asked nervously.

''Of course Niall, what's up?''

''I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go watch a movie sometime?''

''Yeah! Sure'' I replied with a cheery voice.

''No.. I meant.. Like.. Never mind.'' he trailed off.

''Wait, as in.. a date?'' I asked. He looked at me and then nodded to the ground.

''It's okay if you don't want to. Like a friendly date.. A movie and dinner at my house nothing else!'' He said sounding nervous again.

''Niall, calm down. I'd love to.'' I responded, patting him on the shoulder to relax him.

''Okay, I got to run.. I'll see you later.'' And with that he left. I smiled.

Niall was such a good guy, so innocent and cute. His dreamy eyes though, are something else. I hurried to class because I was already late.

It is the last period. I haven't seen Harry all day. Where has he gone again? I hope he shows up later because my house is far from here and I don't want him to walk such a distance.

The school bell rang and I got out of class. My 'friendly date' with Niall is tonight so I can't care about Harry. I got in the car and waited for him. A few seconds later he got in the car as well.

''Where have you been Harry?! I haven't seen you all day!''

''I try not to be too noticeable.''

''So you're hiding from me. Why are you hiding from me?''

''I'm not hiding from you. I just don't like being near people.''

''I'm a person. So that includes me. Why don't you like being near me?'' I half teased him just to make him crack.

''Just drive.'' he gave me an annoyed face and I half smiled evilly.

''So, I've got a date tonight so you can stay at home if you want.. I'll leave my car here since Niall is coming to get me, so if you want you can take it and go somewhere.'' I mumbled.

''You have a date?''

''I would say more like a 'friendly' one.''

''A 'friendly date' with Horan.''

''Yeah.'' I smiled.

''He's just trying to get in your pants like Philip.'' he scoffed.

My smile faded away, now replaced with an angry expression.

''You don't know anything about him.''

''As a matter of fact, I do.''

''No, you don't! You're just jealous because he can get an actual date and not some whore from a strip club.'' I spat.

I know I shouldn't have said that but he pushed his damn luck. He stayed silent, looking out the window until I parked the car in my drive-way. He then exited the car and slammed the door behind him.

I got even angrier but decided not to confront him anymore. I got in the house and went upstairs to my room. I should get ready. The movie starts in two hours. I took a shower and put on some cream. Since it was a date I wanted to look descend but in a 'friendly' way. So I wore a navy blue shirt on top and a pair of turquoise, denim shorts on bottom.

It was too informal for this occasion so I wore some navy blue heels to match. I braided my hair to the side and put on some perfume. I added some eye-liner and red lip-gloss, not lip stick because i thought it would be too much.



Niall would be here in half an hour so I guess I could listen to some music in my bedroom.

Niall arrived and by the time I was downstairs to open the door for him, Harry had already done it.

I was still out of their eye-sight and I heard them say hi to each other.

''Hi Harry..'' Niall trailed off.

''Whatever. Alice!'' Harry shouted.

I entered the living room and went to the front door to greet Niall.

Harry and Niall's eyes were widened and Niall's mouth was opened. What is wrong with them? It's like they've never seen me before.

''You better close your mouth Niall, unless you like the taste of flies.'' I giggled.

I heard Harry scoff. I rolled my eyes and looked at Harry. He was eying me up and down. It was kinda cute.

I told Niall to wait for me and dragged Harry in the kitchen.

''Look Harry, here's my number in case of an emergency, you can use the wall phone to give me a call okay?'' I asked emphasizing 'emergency' and pointing at the wall phone which was next to the fridge.

''Okay.'' I stared at him and he stared back, we were a bit closer than usual.

''Alright, I'm leaving.'' I turned on my heel but Harry grabbed my hand and turned me around, his face almost touching mine. His stare was intense on my lips once again. He looked up at my eyes.

''You look beautiful by the way.'' I half smiled.

He was such a softy sometimes, so sweet.

''Thank you Harry.'' He smiled and kept holding my arm.

I slightly coughed to wake him up and he quickly caught on and let go of my hand. Scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

''Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone Harry!'' I half yelled because I was already half way to the front door leaving Harry in the kitchen.

''No promises!'' He joked.

I rolled my eyes and laughed. I got out and saw Niall leaning on his car. He looked hot like that. With his tight black jeans, his sleeveless loose top and his converse. He was hardly recognizable because at school he dresses completely differently.

''You ready love?''

''Yeah.'' I smiled.

We got in the car and headed towards the cinema.

''Why was Harry at your house?''

''Um, he is staying with me..'' I trailed off.

''Really? How come?''

''My mom went to China for some business and I hate being by myself so I asked him to stay with me since he was by himself as well.''

''And he stayed?''

''Yes..?''

''Oh.. Okay.'' he flashed me a fake smile. I fake smiled back too.

Harry's POV:

Why did she have to look so gorgeous?

I swear if she hadn't had a date right now I would be kissing her and even more but I can't imagine that now, it's weird.

Why did she agree to go out with... Horan?

I mean, him? Of all people.

She chose that little freak?

Is she desperate or something?

Alice.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. Did Alice forget anything?

I opened the door, but it wasn't her.

''May I help you?''

''Is Alice here?''

He tried taking a step forward but I closed the door leaving only enough space for my body and face.

''I said may I help you.'' I stated, showing slight anger as a threat.

''And I asked if Alice is here.'' he said mirroring my expression.

''Who the hell are you.'' I stated again.

''That's none of your concern.'' I stared at him angrily and responded.

''I'm sorry, wrong house.'' I was about to close the door.

''Wait.''

''Yes?'' I asked.

He sighed.

''Jake. Jake Houston.''

''And you are?''

''Alice's ex.''
