Sam's P.O.V

I do my last perimeter check before we go on stage and right when I get back to my team I see a glimpse of what looked to me Dillon...shit is all I can think.

"Did you see him?" I ask them.

"Who Dillon?" Both Kate and Rachel answer in synch like usual.

"Damn it what do we do? We can't cancel the show. We still have to perform" I say as we race to back to the lads. We find them sitting backstage laughing about who knows what.

We rush them and start giving orders.

"Louis, Liam you aren't going anywhere just yet that includes you all too Niall, Harry, and Zayn. Up now we have to find Paul and get you all somewhere more secure." I grab Niall and pull him with me. I see Kate and Rachel doing the same with Liam and Zayn; Louis was grabbing Harry and making him get up.

We push the lads into the formation that seems to happen naturally for us now; Kate up front with Rachel in the middle and me bringing up the rear

"What's going on? What's with all this urgency?" Liam asks.

"Just shut up and go along with it. Explanations will be given soon." Kate says a little harsher than she probably meant to.

"All of you just keep moving and do what we say when we say."

I catch a look from Darren and I know Niall and the others saw it too but only myself and my team understand.


“What was that look for? Why did Darren just look at us like he was saying you have to do something that you are not going to like at all. And what did he whisper in your ear?”

“Niall remember when I promised you that I wouldn’t tell you certain things to keep you safe and happy? Well this is one of those times. Please do not beg me to share what he just shared with me. I don’t even want to share it with Kate and Rachel, so please do not make me share it with you.”

Niall tells me he's stronger than people think but he won't pressure me to tell him until I'm ready I stop him there.

“Do you trust me Niall?” I ask.

Without hesitation he replies, “With my life.” God how did I get so lucky..

“Then trust me when I say you don't want to know what I was just told.”

It pains me to say that. I want to tell him everything but I know I can't. I promised myself I wouldn't let anything or anyone hurt him and that includes myself. What I just heard made me want to vomit. How can the Academy keep this a secret? How could our parents?

"You okay Sam? Are you well enough to start the show?" I hear Paul ask from somewhere near by.

So many things are happening at once. I can't take it all in. Everyone is trying to talk over one another. Liam asks to speak to Zayn; and they start arguing in hushed tones. Meanwhile Louis and Harry are talking about who knows what.Not even sure if I want to know. Kate and Rachel are barking out orders to some security guards.

"EVERYONE JUST SHUT THE FUCKING HELL UP FOR ONE DAMN MINUTE!!!" At that moment it went dead silent. "Thank you!! Darren a word and that's not a requests it's an order from a pissed off sister. NOW!"

I storm out of the doors to the larger area right before the stage. I can feel Darren’s glare piercing the back of my skull.

“You know you are not my sister. But we are family none the less. What is it that you want to debate about now? Is it that you three have gotten too comfortable here living the pop star life, and don’t want to do what has to be done? Or is it that you can’t handle having to take down one of your friends sibling.”

“Neither all I want to know is why now. Why after all this time tell me that Kate is related to Storm? Why now? Why not tell her and say it to me? Grow a pair and either keep it a secret or tell it to her yourself. You are the boss after all. Why did the school keep this from us? They should have took her off the case the second they found out. Or did they know all along?"

Silence filled the air. Darren just looking at me with a half defeated half ready to murder someone.

"I just found out myself sis. I don't know why they just now told me. I don't know how to tell kate. She has been through a lot and it's almost time to disappear. Why would I want to add more stress to her life."

"But you are okay with adding more stress to my life. How in the hell does that make sense? I have been through hell and back literally. What are you playing at thinking I have no worries or that I don't have a breaking point? I can't wait until this mission is over so I can rid myself of the academy. You can tell Kate yourself and you can be the one to tell her she is benched for the remainder of this mission including being away from Liam as per regulations. How does it feel now being the leader I always had to be while you were rubbing elbows with the higher ups trying to get a promotion? Get over yourself and tell Kate because I am not going to be the one to ruin her mentality right now."

"Why do I have to be the one to tell kate?"

“You are the boss. Now do your damn job for once. Besides I think she would like to know why you have been keeping this information from her. Grow a pair and tell her or grow a pair and tell the Academy to fuck off."

With that I turn and head back to the rest of the group as it might be the last night we spend together.

It has been so long since we updated. I have been away where we had limited access to technology and most of that time was spent talking to family. Anyway hope you enjoy the upday.
