The next morning, i did the same routine. I got my breakfast from Nancy and talked to Florence about today's tasks. "Juliet, today is a veryfun day for you! We are hosting a masquerade for Niall and his friends. You will be helping with decorations today." Just thinking about the party got me excited.
I went upstairs with streamers and confetti. Me and Florence spent a good few hours talking about the party and setting up. Niall walked down the stairs and gave a look around the main hall "Ladies, this is so beautiful! Well done, you can take a break for lunch." We thanked him and went downstairs and ate. "Florence this party is going to be spectacular! I'm so excited, the masks, the people..." All the sudden Ms. Tyler walked in and we stood up "Ah your excited about the party, well there has been a change in plans. If you recall Mr. Liam Payne, i asked him to bring his staff to cater us tonight so you all can clean the downstairs. It's a pig sty down here!" she stormed off and i was feeling sad "Is she purposely mean to us?" i asked Florence "She has ever since she got here ten months ago."
With that i got up and went back upstairs to set up. When i came into the hall, Ms. Tyler was there looking at the decorations "I don't like it. The tables are set up wrong, the streamers... ugh it's to late to make changes!" Niall gave her a stare "Well i like it! Florence and Juliet worked very hard" "Well they used their time for nothing Niall!" she stormed off and Niall came up to me "I'm sorry about her, earlier today her personal stylist has pneumonia.." Niall walked up the stairs and i went back downstairs.
Florence was scrubbing the floors and handed me a brush. "Florence i don't want to sit down here forever mopping and scrubbing! I know it's my job, but i just want tonight to see the party and enjoy life!" Florence gave me a smile "Well it is a masquerade, no one will know who you are! I got the best costume for you..."
As i saw my dress and mask (top) i felt so beautiful. "Wow, Florence!" "Juliet, you look gorgeous!" I gave Florence a hug "Go through the backdoor and to the front door" she handed me a invitation "I snagged one just for you" she gave me a wink.
I walked out the backdoor and walked up to see all these people in elegant dresses and suits. Ferrari's and BMW's aligned the road. I walked into the door and handed my invitation to a butler. Everyone's eyes were on me some whispering "Wow" and "Who is she?" The room looked so beautiful, how could Ms. Tyler hate it? Thinking about Ms. Tyler i looked over and saw her making out with a stranger. Does Niall know about that? What a slut...
When i turned around i see Niall handing me a glass of Champagne. "Do i know you Madame?" I gave a smile "Well that's the point of a masquerade! You shouldn't know who i am." He smiled back and he gave me his hand "Would you like to dance with me Madame?"
We danced in the hall for what seemed like years. His eyes were as blue as the ocean. He was so gorgeous, i felt so lucky just to be in his grasp. Your dress is so lovely, you are lovely too..."
We were interrupted when Ms. Tyler walked over "Excuse me bitch, but you are dancing with MY man" she spat. I nodded and walked away on the verge of crying "Wait!" is all i could here Niall say and the rant of Ms. Tyler.
That woman was evil, she was truly Satan's child. I ran back downstairs crying Florence looking up "Dear, what happened?" "She blew it, i was having the time of my life, and Ms. Tyler ruined it all for me!" I ran to my bedroom and Florence entered "She is cold hearted, a true monster." i cried myself to sleep hearing Florence tell me it is ok. Before i fell asleep i told Florence 'You are the best friend i've had" I thought back to Anna in Louisiana, my mother and brother. No one in my life has really been there for me as much as Florence and Niall.
Niall, he was so handsome and kind, i knew i was falling for him.
