The World Has Changed
Chapter 2
Niall p.o.v.
Oh God, this is terrible. We are in the zombie apocalypse, with no food, no water, or shelter. I hope Naomi is ok. Yea. Naomi. I remember her. She was my best friend from kindergarten to 9th grade. The last time I saw her, she was getting rushed to the emergency room, with a huge gash in the back of her head. I saw her after that, but she was unconscious, and my mom made me leave. Then, she moved to America, where we were supposed to go for our Where We Are tour. We were actually at the airport when this happened, so that is where we are now (no, just no). I want to find her, but that would be a dream come true. But, I have memory of her, a little kitten stuffed animal she left me with. It was her most prized possession, and left it with me. And I'll tell you everything that I remember from that day:
FLASHBACK*
I got ready for school, and ate my breakfast. A huge breakfast. I got up after I finished, and tied my shoes on. I heard my doorbell ring, and I grabbed a piece of toast, and ran to the door.
"Bye Mlom!" I shouted, still eating my toast. I opened the door, to be face to face with my best friend, Naomi. I'm was literary face to face with her. She must have been looking through the peep hole thing.
"Hilo!" She shouted, using a mixed version of hi and hello.
"Sup," I said.
"Nutin. Let's go!" She shouted
"Ok," I answered.
FLASH TO SCHOOL*
"Stupid gym class," Naomi started. "I could get hurt!" And she was correct. I had gym with her, so I saw the whole, tragic thing.
"Why do we have to do this?" I groaned.
"Why don't you like baseball? You're a boy," she pointed out.
"I don't care," I answered. Naomi goes to the batting position, and am one of the bases. The ball gets thrown at Naomi, strait for her forehead. WHAM! Right in the forehead, sending her down to the concrete. She hit her head with a bang, and I was the first one to her.
"Naomi! Naomi!" Is shouted. "Get up, you're fine!" But I knew she wasn't by the pool of blood that formed around her head.
"CRAP! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE! PLEASE! NOW!" I yelled.
END OF FLASH BACK*
And the sound of sirens, and the going to the hospital were the last things I remember. Then she moved because her dad got some kind of job in America. Why couldn't he just get a frickin job here?! I really miss her. I hope she isn't dead. Oh my God, if she died that day, I would not stop crying. Never. And I will not forget her, or that day. Ever.
