*Alex's POV*

Outfit


A school week had already passed by, and it was Friday. I’ve continued wearing my usual style of clothes, ignoring all the stares I get


Luke hadn’t turned up for the whole week, which is odd but also annoying as i started our assignment by myself.


I had become even closer with Marcel and am stilling deciding if Brooke is the right friend for me. We are just too different.


I don’t plan on going to any more parties; now realising that Luke would be at everyone, so maybe i shouldn’t hang out with Brooke anymore.


It lunch and me and Marcel sit in our usual table, ignoring all the smart comments given to us.


I pick up my lunch tray and walk over to the bin, tipping the edge over so all the rubbish falls in. I turn around and find Ashton with a wide smile plastered on his face.


“Hey Alex!” he smiles


“Hey”

“You coming to Michael’s party tonight, it’s gonna be epic!” I have now learnt about luke’s ‘gang’ of friends which consists of him, Ashton, Calum and Michael. It funny i know stuff about him, and he still doesn’t know my name, or has Ashton told him?


“Actually no, i think i am just gonna study tonight” i sound so lame, but its what i like.


“Oh cmon you studied all week” he reminds me of how i rejected his other offers on Tuesday, to Friday.


“Yea but parties aren’t my thing, im not that type of girl” i can’t tell him the real reason, which is so i don’t run into Luke. He is bad news and I’m trying not to get too close to him.


“I know” he winks, and then walks off, what was that about?


I get through another lunch and before i know it, the day has finished and i am at home.


*Luke’s POV*


“Cmon Ash, just tell me her name so i don’t come off as a complete douche!” i almost yell, as Ash sits there, stupidly. Why am i talking to him? Im still mad that he took her home on Monday.


“No, you can learn it, like a normal person, and plus, i don’t think she likes you” really he has the nerve to say that


“Y-yes she does, trust me”


“You wanna beat?” he smirks


“No, because she is not worth beating on” i snap.

“Cmon Luke, we gotta get to Michael’s house for the party” Calum yells from the bottom of my stairs.


“Coming” i say shutting my phone screen off, after looking at a picture of her, that i secretly snapped at our first class together.


What’s wrong with me? I’ve never thought about a girl for this long before? Especially since I don’t know her name.


I really needed to get my mind off her.

“Hello there ladies” i smirked to a group of hot girls at Michael’s Party. They were all sluts, but still, this should be fun ;)


*Alex’s POV*


I woke up early on Saturday because my mum suggested that i get a weekend job. She had organized an interview for me at Starbucks, which i got!


I am thankful for her helping but i am 18! I should be doing these things myself. Sometimes i wish i didn’t live with me parents. Is that bad?


I put on my work uniform and make sure to leave 10 minutes before so i am just on time.


I arrive early, and start my shift. Luckily for me, it is a slow day, so i pull out a nearby magazine, and start to read.


Someone clears their throat, and I look up to find the one face I’ve been wanting to avoid.


Luke.


“Umm hey...” he pauses to look at my name tag “Alex” he finishes


“Hmm so this is the way you find out my name?” i furrow my eyebrows together.


“Umm yeah i guess” he scratches the back of his neck. Why is he so nervous?


“Look just order something, then get out of my face!” i snap, luckily my boss isn’t around to see.


“Hey don’t be like that” he frowns


“Why? You only found out my name today, after you’ve almost tried to kiss me, and you didn’t show up for a week of school which meant i had to start the assignment on my own”


“I know, i know, but how about we start over?”


“You told me to leave when your friend Ashton walked in on us. Were you embarrassed to be seen with me? cause if you are i understand. I’m not the typical girl you’d mess around with”


“Fuck no! Why would anyone in the world be embarrassed about being seen with you?” he asks


“Well, why did you make me leave?”


“I- i I don’t know. I just didn’t want Ashton to know i was with you cause knowing him, he would try to swoop in and take you for himself”


“Ashton is not like that, he is very much nicer then you!” i snap


“You don’t know him. He does pot and hooks up with different girls every night” Luke argues


“And you don’t?” i ask. “Why didn’t you show up for a week?” i ask, curiously


“Umm well is gonna sound stupid...” he mumbles “I was mad that you let Ashton give you a ride home”


“Overreacting much?” i say


“Look, all i am asking is that we start over. You could come over to mine and we can do our assignment?” he asks


I hesitate, but then find myself nodding.


“So since we’re starting over..” he says “Im Luke Hemmings” he sticks his hand out to shake “and you are?”


“Alex Jones” i smile. Maybe starting over will be a good thing.
