Alayna’s POV:
“Now can you promise me?” When he pulled away, I felt my heart dropped. I felt everything in me exploding.

“Alayna?” Harry shook me out of my daze. “Say something, please.” I looked at Harry then blinked. “But Jade ---” I know how Jade really felt for Harry and I really don’t want to hurt anyone.

“I’ll take care of her. I promise. It’s you I want and she really can’t do anything about that but be happy for me.” I faked a smile then he hugged me. A mix of happiness and despair hit me. I feel happy that I now truly know what Harry and I are but I can’t seem to erase in my conscience that I’m going to be the reason for their break up.

“Thank you.” He kissed my forehead then hugged me. His arms around me and my head on his chest made me feel so safe like no one can hurt me now. “Wanna go home?” I nodded my head then placed the flowers in my bike’s basket.

“This is the best day ever!” Harry shouted on the top of his lungs then jumped up and down. “Harry! Sssh!” I ran towards him to keep him quiet. “I’m never going to let you go. That, I promise.” He pulled me in and hugged me one more time.

“Thank you.” I sighed on his chest; I felt bad since he had done all of this and all I could say was a mere ‘thank you’. “Are you happy?” He pulled away but his hands were still around my waist.

“I’ve never been happier.” I looked straight into his eyes; I never noticed how green they are. It was the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen. “That’s all I want to hear.” He hugged me tighter and I could feel him breathing.

“Let’s go.” He led the way to the car. We returned our bikes then went straight to his car; it was just in time since the sun just went down. We made our way in silence. The whole time, his hand was intertwined with mine. I couldn’t sleep the whole way and it was the first time I didn’t sleep while in a car. I was afraid that once my eyes close, I would wake up from a beautiful yet tragic dream.

Harry’s POV:
*The next day*

“Alayna?” It was an early Sunday morning and I figured that we could grab breakfast together. “Hey!” She was still in her nightwear and her hair was up in a bun but she was still as beautiful as ever.

“Want something to eat?” She opened the door wider and I came in. “Uhm, I was planning to study the whole day in the library.” I scratched my head; the library wasn’t really my favourite place in the school.

“What time are you going there?” She grabbed some clothes off of her bed then looked at me. “I’m just going to get changed then I’m on my way.” I sat on one of her chairs and watched her as she went to the bathroom.

“Could I come with you?” I really want to spend time with her and I guess I don’t have any choice. “Are you sure?” She peeked through the small opening of the door. “Yeah. I mean if it’s okay with you.” I scratched my head then took out my phone. I felt a weird feeling in my gut; I texted Jade last night but she hasn’t replied since.

“Let’s just stop and buy a sandwich.” She nodded and we made our way to the nearest store. I picked her sandwich for her and she gave me a weird look. “What? This is what boyfriends do.” She looked at me with shock then looked away.

“Oh, and we should also do this.” I took her hand and intertwined my fingers with hers. I felt her pull away but I held my grip tighter. “Let’s go.” I tried to grab her bag and carry it for her but she moved it away from me.

“I can carry it!” She made a funny face and we both laughed. “Your bag is twice the size of you. C’mon give it!” She teased me more with more funny faces and I laughed one more time. I haven’t laughed this much for a long time.

"Everyone! I have a very important announcement." There was a big crowd blocking the entrance to the library and we really couldn't see who the person in the middle was.

“I, Tania Jade Endicott, am now engaged!” I was shocked at what I just heard. I tried to make my way through the crowd and Alayna was just right behind me. “Jade!” I called Jade and she turned her head to face me. “And look, here’s my fiancé!”
