There's Someone Always Watching

Tessa's POV

"So you know a lot about me," I said an hour later. "I want to get to know you a little more." Niall seemed hesitant.

"I dot know, Tess..." He trailed off. I have him the puppy dog eyes and the lip. He sighed and gave in.

"Yay!" I clapped my hands.

"So, how old are you really," I asked him.

"Nineteen, I was turned when I was six," he said. I gasped.

"You were... Bitten when you were six?"

"Give or take a few months," he said while shrugging. I laughed a little. Who could suck the life out of a six-year-old?

"What is your full name?"

"Count Niall James Horan of the Horan clan," he said, a little hesitantly.

"Why were you so hesitant to answer the last question?"

"No reason," he almost whispered. I asked again. "Just drop it, Tessa."

"But I want to know!" I pouted, sitting across from him and glaring at him.

"Fine. Because my family and I haven't talked in years and your father took me in! He was the only one I trusted, and then he trusted me enlightened o look after his own flesh and blood." I was shocked. His family didn't talk to him? Why not?

"I'm not even in my family clan anymore," he said and stood up, walking to the window. He tilted his head to look out, at the ground.

"Niall, I didn't-"

"How would you know, Tessa? You're only sixteen, you're still a little girl," he barked at me.

"I am NOT a little girl!" He laughed, bitterly.

"Ypure whining like a little girl. You're arguing like a little girl. Ten year olds are more mature than you!"

He opened the window, letting in the freezing air. I shivered. He stepped out of the window and into the air. I rushed to my window.

"Niall," I called. I could see him floating onto the same branch I saw him on yesterday. I leaned out farther from the window to the point I ha to grip onto the wall behind me.

Suddenly, I was falling. I was falling out of the two story cottage.

"Niall!" I screamed as I was drawing near the ground...
