There's Someone Always Watching

I sit in the chair next to Niall's bed, waiting for him to wake up, but hear someone knock on the door. "Come in," I say immediately, knowing it could be one of the doctors or something.

But, instead, the devil herself walks in.

"What are you doing hear, Barbara," I ask and scowl at her. She smiles.

"Visiting my boyfriend, silly," she giggles, well, sort of...it sounds like a glorified snort actually. At that moment, Niall wakes up.

Great timing, I think.

"Barbara?" Niall asks in a sleepy state. "What are you doing here?" Niall then looks over at me, and sees that I, too, am in the room. "Tessa."

"Princess Atessa," the she-devil says in a fake sweet voice, "was just telling me how happy she was for us."

"Us?" Niall sits up now, rubbing his eyes. "What on earth are you talking about?"

"You must have hit your head when the boys hurt you," Barbara coos. "Remember? We're together now. You ask me-
"

"Excuse me?"

NIALL'S POV

"Excuse me?" I look over at Tessa, and see that her eyes were becoming dark red. What was happening? She looked over at me.

"Since when were you two...'together'," she spat out, as if she was disgusted by what she was saying. When did this happen? Why was she getting so worked up about it, anyway.

"About-"

"I asked Niall, bitch," Tessa spat out again, this time at Barbara. All I could do was sit there, watching what was happening.

"But-"

"I want you out," Tessa growled at her. "Get out of my castle, you done nothing but cause trouble here!"

"Niall," Barbara was looking at me nervously, as if asking me for help.

"Just leave us alone!"

Tessa seized Barbara, and I knew, this time, Tessa was going full vamp. They tossed and turned, Tessa was winning, though. Newer fledged tend to be stronger than older vampires, plus, she wasn't just vampire, or just human.

Finally, with one last punch to Barbara's face, she passed out. Tessa pushed Barbara out from under her, breathing heavily, and sitting down.

"Tessa," I said. She looked at me, her old red eyes her normal green.

"You did nothing to stop me," she whispered. "I had to stop myself from killing her, Niall." I got up from my bed, and limped over to her. I sat down and engulfed her into my arms.

"I'm sorry," I said as we looked at each other. "I'm so, so sorry." Tessa shook her head, looking down at the ground.

"Niall..." She trailed off. She looked up, her emerald eyes shiny, and moved her lips onto mine. I was stunned for a minute, at the fact that after all the events that happened less than four minutes ago, that she kissed me, but soon kissed back.

When we broke apart, she stood up.

"Excuse me," she said, and left the room.

Notes

Hint hint...that was the climax. In so sad that this story will soon come to an end, and I was wondering if it should end with an epilogue or have a series...I'm not sure yet.

And I'm so sorry it took me almost a month update. I had no ideas for what should happen next...and that's pretty much my excuse. In the meantime, I've occupied myself with other stories I've recently made.
