There's Someone Always Watching

Tessa's POV

I took out that book I got from the library.

And last but not least, the true sign of real love is when a vampire male bites a female for the first time. If he does this before he is married, it is true. If he fails to bite the bride before they wed, it isn't real and true.

I slumped in my chair. I wonder if Niall has bitten someone before-- I wonder if Harry has or Liam. Have they ever been in love? In their thousands of years, have they?

It was the day after Harry an Liam had visited her, and I had risen early to read without distraction. But, I found, I did not get up early enough, because when I left my room, she was greeted by Niall, who was about to knock on my face.

"Oh-- Princess," Niall said with a bow, " I didn't see you."

"It's fine, Niall. What 'tis on the schedule today?" Niall looked at a piece of paper he had, then furrowed his eyebrows.

"Meeting available nobles," he answered with his eyes rolling. "Also, you get to see the villages. Oh, you would just love them, Tess! The people and children!" Niall took my hands while he talked. Then he noticed my cheeks going bright pink, and dropped them. He cleared his throat.

"Niall, come in here for a second." I pulled him into my room, sitting him on a couch. I got the book I'd found in the library and opened it up. "I would like to learn more about Atesslavoy. I've learned so much already, though. It's so fascinating, how did humans not know about Atesslavoy?"

"Well," Niall flipped to a page in the book that contained a map of the earth. "Humans can't know we exist, it would be unsafe. We live here," Niall pointed to the Bermuda Triangle, but in it, a piece if land was drawn. I leaned closer to Niall to get a better look.

"Wait, this is us?" I pointed to the land. Niall nodded. "Oh. Cool." Niall shrugged.

There was a knock at the door, and one of the maids came in.

"Oh, I'm sorry Your Highness, but you need to get ready. Sir Niall," the maid greeted. Something told me she had a fancying for Niall.

"Hello, thank you," I said. I looked per at Niall. "I will meet you later, yeah?" Niall nodded, crossing the room and passed the maid. She winked a him, and I rolled my eyes.
