Why Don't We Go There?
Chapter Thirty-One
Niall's POV
Its already been about one week since I dropped Clary off at the airport. One week down and two more to go. I can do this. It isn't too hard...I mean really two more weeks...that's what only fourteen days? Psh nothing.
Today we are supposed to skype at around 6pm here so noon out in Cali. It was harder to stay in contact due to the time zone difference. But we made it work as best as we could.
I told Clary that Louis is on to us and she just sighed. And said that maybe I was right. We should just tell them but wait until she gets back. Yes! I am so happy. I just want to tell everyone. I am getting ready to go to the park and practice when someone knocks on my door. I open it to see Haz. "Hey man. Just about to leave for the park...but come on in. Everyone probably isn't there yet anyways."
"Thanks." Haz comes and sits down at my table. I have no idea what he was doing here. Shouldn't he be working? "So um...what's on your mind?"
"I think I like Lilly."
"I'm sorry what?" I look at him and sit down. Well I am glad that he didn't say he still liked Clary. Because that would be awkward. Haz was just fiddling with his hands. "I just think she's really cute and stuff. I don't know..."
"So you want to watch us practice?" Haz looks up at me and smiles. "Yea I would! Thanks mate. I think this will actually work out...better than Clary I should've seen you two were like in love." Haz races out the door. I grab my stuff and follow him after leaving a note telling my mum where I went.
She was off at work. She works at the local newspaper. Editor-in-chief to be exact. She had to go in for something this morning and said she would be back around 1. I knew I wouldn't be there so I didn't want her to flip out.
I get out and see Haz was talking to Louis. We all start to head over. When we get there I see Liam and the girls were already there. To be honest we all hated not having Clary here to practice because she made six. So us boys usually swapped out every so often. Haz sat down on the bench and talked to Lilly. I went and put my shoes on. Overall the practice went well. We did some drills and then scrimmaged. It was fun having Haz there. He would whoop and holler at everything. It was a nice change up because usually practices ended up with someone yelling at someone else. So Harry distracting us from that.
We got done at around 3pm. Three more hours until I had to go. I hoped Clary actually picks up this time. Last time she was out at a club so she forgot to call. A teen club...because apparently the US has those. Sounds weird to me but she loves it. Anyways due to that she totally missed the last Skype date. But I got about fifty apology phone calls and messages. I know she was just having fun and lost track of time.
We go to the ice cream place and ordered some. "Harry you should come more often! Its fun having you watch!" Lilly smiled at Haz who beamed back at her.
"Sure of course. Whenever I don't have work I'll try to make it out." Lilly clapped her hands together in excitement. I can't wait to tell Clary. I look at the time and see that it is almost 5. "I have to go! But I'll see you guys later okay?"
"Yea okay! See ya Niall!" I get up and walk back. I decide to shower before I talk to Clary. I really hope that something happened and she hates it over there now and wants to comeback early. Hey a guy can hope and dream right?
Clary's POV
I've been in Cali for a week now. I have done more stuff this whole week than I have when I actually lived here. It has been kind of nice being with Nicole again. Her mom wasn't here but her dad was. So he made us food. Nicole has always gotten along better with her dad than her mom.
I did miss home though. It was weird to consider Ireland my home now but it was. As much as I didn't want it to be. But I do miss those rainy days and the soft green rolling hills. Everything is hilly but sweltering hot over here. Oh how the tables have turned on me.
Nicole managed to weasel it out of my that Niall and I got together so she's been kind enough to let me skype him. Except the first time we were supposed to I forgot. I was out at a club and lost track of time. I called and left about 10 voicemails saying I was sorry and left about a dozen messages. I did feel bad but I mean what could I do? I was here to have fun. That's why it's called a vacation. I hope he didn't think I would be over here moping around wanting to leave the second I got off the plane.
Yesterday we played football with all the girls. Which was crazy fun. God it was so good to all of them again. They of course asked all about Ireland...what it was like...are British people's teeth really as bad as they say...have I seen someone in a kilt yet...why don't I have an accent...all that good stuff. But I had a blast and I know Nicole loves having me back for a month.
Today we were going shopping. I was excited. But first I was supposed to skype Niall. I got up at like 11am to shower before hand. I threw on some clothes and hopped on my computer. I saw he was on so I called. He answered right away. "Hey! How's Ireland?!"
"Boring without you...but Harry has a crush on Lilly so that will bring some excitement during your absence."
"What?!?! No WAY!" I couldn't believe it! Finally. Lilly has had a crush on Harry since I told him I wanted to be friends. However she was so on the fence about dating him...for the same reasons why I didn't want to date in the first place. I called Nicole into the room and told her. We both squealed and jumped up and down. "Uh...I'm missing something?"
"Don't worry about it Niall! I'll leave you two now though. Nice to see you!"
"Bye Nicole...Clary. Tell me!"
"No I can't. So tell me what you have been up to hot stuff?" He smiles and shakes his head. It looks wet which means he just showered. Oh how I want to just run my hands through it.
"Nothing much. Just been practicing football. Its hard without you since you made six. So now its just all off."
"Aw I'm sorry. Not really though I've been having a blast. Today we are going shopping. Maybe I'll pick you up something."
"What could you possibly need to buy? You're closet is like full already."
"I'm a girl Niall. I always need clothes. Duh. And I am going to get you something."
"You don't have to..."
"Nope I'm going to! Got to get my baby something pretty."
"Never ever say that to me again Clary." We both just crack up laughing. But in all seriousness I was going to get him something. I hear Nicole shouting my name. That means its time to go.
"Hey I have to go...but I miss you! And I'll talk to you later okay?"
"Yea okay...I miss you too." He ended the call. I felt bad. But only 2 more weeks.
Then I'll be back in August. Nicole, Lilly, and I were going to visit NYU and meet the team. I was excited to meet the team but I was unsure of how Niall will take it. But I've been planning this since I got the letter saying NYU was interested in me. I was going to send my schedule to my schools as soon as I got it. Senior year is going to be fun. I just couldn't wait.

So that's the end? They don't get back together and get married or have kids?!?!?!I'm very disappointed
