Chapter Ten
Clary's POV
We got the airport about 10 minutes before Nicole's plane arrived. I was holding a sign that I made. It just said 'My Main Bitch' my mom laughed at me when I made it quickly this morning. I was actually kinda nervous. I mean not to see her, but for her to meet the gang. I think she would like them but sometimes she can be a bit catty. I was pacing pretty badly. "Calm down sunshine, she'll be here soon. Come here sit down."
I sit down by her and then I notice a tall brunette push her way through the crowd and yelling. "EXCUSE ME, YEA YOU MOVE. I HAVE TO FIND MY BEST FRIEND!"
I quickly stand up and wave my sign. She spots me and runs over. She tackles me to the ground. "My little leprechaun! How is the homeland?!" She helped me up and my mom was laughing and taking pictures of us. Nicole goes over and hugs her.
"Mommy! Long time. Clary has been behaving right?" My mom just nods and laughs again.
"Come on girls lets get to the car, its an hour to get to Mullingar from here." I grab Nicole's suitcase.
"Jesus Coley, what did you pack?"
"Bricks duh." I really missed her. It will be just like old times. Except in a different country, and she only knows me.
"You're excited to be going to school with me? You brought your gear right? Coach said you could join us if you wanted to."
"Boo, I am just happy to see you again. And yea I'm holding my soccer bag."
"Okay, oh tomorrow we are going to see Harry perform with his band."
"Sexyyy." I laughed at her. She told me everything that I have missed while being away for two weeks. We arrived at our house and Niall was leaving his to go to band practice I assumed.
"Damn girl, you are living is style! This is so nice!"
"Thanks Nicole. Oh Hello Niall!" My mom smiled and waved. Well that’s embarrassing. He started to walk over here. Nicole came over I looked at her. She was way taller than me I stood 5'5". She was easily 5'8". She whispered "That’s one hot neighbor." I punched her.
"Hey Niall, band practice?"
"Yea I was just heading over…you must be Nicole." Nicole smiled and shook his hand.
"That I am. Nice to meet you, Clary talks about---OW!" I just smiled sweetly at her. Niall looked back at me.
"Well if you guys aren't doing anything later, the whole gang are coming over for a bonfire. If you want to come."
"Yea sure that sounds fun!" Nicole just wiggled her eyebrows at me. Niall looked at her weirdly.
"Uh yea cool, well I'm going to go. See ya later Clary." He jogged over to his car and left.
"He was cute, little too short for me though." I rolled my eyes at her and carried her stuff up to my room. "So what are we going to wear to this bonfire. Gotta look hot." She opens up her suitcase and starts to take clothes out.
"I was just going to wear skinny jeans and a hoodie…maybe some shoes."
"Huh…revolutionary idea Clary Berry." I rolled my eyes at her. Nicole had about fifty nicknames for me. I honestly don't know what she will call me when she talks to me.
"Hey you like the nicknames so don't even."
"Alright you got me…" My mom called us down for dinner.
"Dinner its only…6pm. Damn time zone." I laughed at her. We got downstairs and ate dinner. Nicole and I did the dishes. My mom went to her studio that’s right across the room from mine. I showed Nicole my own studio.
"Well Coley, I told you I would get my own studio some day."
"Yea you did…it so nice Clary. Come on outside on the deck and sing me a song!" I smiled and grabbed my guitar. I used to sing to Nicole all the time when she snuck out of her house when her parents fought. It calmed her.
"Okay sit down…hmm what do you want to hear love?"
"EW do not call me that. You have been hanging out with Brits too much. I need to Americanize you again. So lets go with a country song." I just shook my head at her and started to play 'Quitter' by Carrie Underwood. Nicole sang along with me. She wasn't very good at singing but she sang anyway. After I finished she looked at me and said
"Another one."
Just like old times. So I played 'Wide Open Spaces' by the Dixie Chicks. I finished the song and heard an Irish accent.
Niall's POV
I head Clary singing. She had to most beautiful voice. "Is that Clary singing?"
"Yea Haz it is."
"We should get her to play at the café tomorrow. She's amazing." Ugh Liam I could kill you.
"That’s a brilliant idea Liam! Niall go over and get her over here." Why couldn't Harry do it? He's the one who she's interested in not me. I started to walk over taking my time because I didn't want to interrupt her. I noticed that Nicole was there on her deck. I got there and managed to not sound like a dork.
"Amazing Clary. The bonfire is getting ready so come on over whenever."
"Okay we'll be over in a few. Thanks Niall. Tell Harry not to miss me too much." And that's when I felt it. That stabbing feeling in my heart.
"Uh yea okay…" I wasn't going to tell him. I got back over and told everyone they would be over shortly. Perrie was sitting on Zayn's lap, while Louis had his tongue down Ellie's throat.
Lilly couldn't make it since her sister was home from university this weekend so they were going to London for the weekend. So that left just me, Liam and Harry sitting there awkwardly.
Then I heard Clary's voice ring out. "Hey guys I would like you to meet Nicole Waters."
"Hello. Nice to see everyone is friends here." She winked at Ellie and Louis who blushed. "Well Clary aren't you going introduce everyone?"
"Oh right, uh that’s Perrie sitting on Zayn, that’s Ellie, she's on the football--"
"Soccer."
"team, Louis would be the one shoving his tongue in her throat. Then Niall you've already met, Harry is the one with curly brown hair, and the one on the end is Liam." Everyone then shouted hello. Haz pulled Clary onto his lap.
"I missed you Clary!" Then he wrapped his arms around her. Nicole just started laughing. We all looked at her while Clary was trying to free herself of Haz's hug.
"What's so funny?" Liam was the only one who spoke.
"I am shocked that you haven’t figured this out yet, but Clary hates hugging, and touching really." Then Clary finally got out of Haz's hug and looked at everyone.
"What hugs are weird. And thanks for sharing turdmucher."
"Anytime pooplicker." We all just sat there a little confused.
Haz spoke up "What other secrets do you have for us?"
Clary's POV
"I have oh so many." Nicole just smiled at all of them. Maybe I can accidentally fall into the fire and die. She started to talk again. I just sat back down on Harry's lap and noticed that Niall frowned at that.
"Lets see she has a freckle that is shaped like a heart on her back, she can't stand birds, she's a Green Bay Packers fan, oh oh she moans in her sleep, and she has a nasty temper." Great. Now everyone was looking at me, Nicole looked like she just won the lottery.
Liam just shouted "SHOW US THE FRECKLE!"
Nicole was laughing so hard she almost fell off of the picnic table. I got up and took off my hoodie and shirt so I was standing there in my sports bra. It was a fairly big freckle and it was on my right shoulder blade. I put my tops back on.
Liam just said to Harry "I got her to take off her shirt for me before you Haz."
"Shut up Payno!" I was laughing and I sat down by Nicole who put her arms around me and hugged me. "EW Coley stop! NO PDA!"
"I'm sorry I just can't control myself around you!"
"Get off of me ya weirdo!" I managed to push her off of me but then I fell onto Niall's lap. "Oh sorry Niall!" He just sat there looking at me. I went to get up but he stopped me. I looked at him.
"You look cold. Stay, I'll keep you warm." He whispered into my ear. I shivered not from the cold though. I remembered when he hugged me on my deck. I didn't mind his hug. I liked it. So I stayed. I noticed Harry was glaring at us. He looked so cute when he was jealous. We sat around until Maura came out and told everyone it was time to leave. I got off of Niall and grabbed Nicole's arm.
"See you guys tomorrow!" We got a chorus of goodbyes. When we made it back to my room
Nicole climbed into my bed next to me. "You should date Niall."
"What? I like Harry."
"But I think you actually like Niall and just don't want to admit it. And then there's Liam. He seems into you as well. Man you are so lucky! 3 incredibly hot guys all want a taste of Clarissa Wolf!" She then howled like a wolf like she usually did when someone said my last name. I punched her.
"Get some sleep you're going to need it, this time change will fuck with your system."
"Fine. Hey you're my bestfriend ever."
"You're mine too." Then we fell asleep.
Niall's POV
She stayed. She stayed on my lap. I know that I should've let her go but I couldn’t…I wanted her so badly. I could tell that Haz was angry at me. When my mum said it was time for everyone to leave. I walked Haz out. "Niall you really like her too?"
"I uh…Haz…"
"I understand. Man how did this happen?" I knew what he meant. How did both us end up falling for the same girl.
"I don't know Haz. Maybe we should just be friends with her?"
"But I really like her…"
"Then you know what? You get her. You deserve her. I'll keep my hands off I promise." Haz looked at me and smiled.
"Thanks mate, You are the best..."
"Yea I know. Hey see ya tomorrow." Haz just waved and hopped into his car and drove away. I promised to keep my hands off of her. But I vowed to become her best friend. I wanted to be in her life. And I could always dream about touching her. I went upstairs and sat down on my bed. Ugh why was my life so screwed up. Why did I have to like the same girl as Haz. I ended up falling asleep after an hour of staring at my ceiling.

So that's the end? They don't get back together and get married or have kids?!?!?!I'm very disappointed
