Left Behind (Marcel FanFiction)

{Olivia's POV}

I walked into Marcel's house the next morning. Marcel stood in front of the mirror, putting in his right contact. He hissed a bit since he wasn't used to the feeling. I watched as he chewed down on his lip, popping in the left one and blinking like a maniac.

"I'll never get used to that." He shook his head, turning to me. I dangled the bang of his hair treatment and the brushes on my index finger. "You're early."

"You look nice." I smiled, complimenting his outfit. I had never seen him without something over his arms, so I had no idea he had such toned arms.

He smiled back, "thank you, so do you" I blushed at his compliment and stuck a hand out, shoving him back in front of the mirror. Marcel was taller than me, so I stood up on the edge of his shower, pulling him backwards so his back was against my torso. I blushed at the sudden contact and began brushing and making his hair look like yesterday. When I was done, he looked identical to yesterday.

"Thank you, Livi!" Marcel exclaimed, hugging me close. I hugged back, smiling into his hair, which smelled like the cherry scent that was in that one spray.

"You're welcome, Marcie." I smiled. He took my hand, helping me off the edge. I blushed when he didn't pull our hands apart and pulled me out of the room, into the living room and we grabbed our backpacks. He called a goodbye to his mum and we, still hand in hand, were on our way to school for Marcel's first day as his new.. him.


Marcel swung my hand a bit, "Thanks again for your help."

"You're welcome," I beamed, "I just can't get over the fact you look so.."

"Styles?" a familiar British accent interrupted me. We looked up, seeing no other than Zayn Malik himself. Marcel froze, dropping my hand, much to my sadness. I looked up, seeing we were right in front of the school. Wow, time travels fast.

"Zayn, hey.." Marcel managed out.

"Dude, you look.." Zayn said, then smiled, "normal."

"Is that a good thing?" Marcel said, his green eyes growing twice in size.

Zayn chuckled, patting Marcel on the back, "see ya later, Marcel."

Marcel watched the jock walk away and looked at me, his mouth gapped. "Zayn Malik.. talked to me."

"Yeah, he does that a lot."

"Yeah, but it's never anything other than calling me dork or making fun of me!" Marcel exclaimed, smiling, "he was actually nice to me!"

"You look good, Marcel," I smiled, "you're going to get compliments!"

Marcel gave me the biggest smile ever as we made our way into the crowded school. When we were inside, it was like someone screamed. Everyone stopped and turned to Marcel and I. He and I exchanged awkward glances and then began to make our way to our lockers. Guys gave Marcel high fives, girls giggled and waved. Marcel was living it up, taking it in. I smiled at him, happy for my best friend. I just hoped it wouldn't change us.

"You look nice, Marcel." Liam Payne complimented Marcel as we walked up to our lockers.

"Very nice." Niall Horan, Liam's best friend, added. Marcel thanked them and they smiled, walking off. Marcel gave me an excited glance and I giggled.

"Hey, Styles!" we heard from down the hall.

"Holy crap, it's Louis." Marcel whispered as the school 'bad boy' approached us.

Louis looked my best friend over, up and down, then smiled, making a fist. "Nice get up, bro."

Marcel lightly bumped his own fist against Louis', "Th-thanks, Louis.."

"Call me Lou." Louis smiled, walking off.

Marcel turned to me, his mouth gapped. This was the first day of many that went the exact. same. way.
