Left Behind (Marcel FanFiction)

{Olivia's POV}

Marcel tugged me out of the school. We didn't even stay for homeroom, we just left. He pulled me along to his car, opening the door for me. I let go of his hand and crawled into the passenger seat. Bringing my knees up to my chest, I buried my face into them, letting the tears slip down my face. It wasn't I was afraid of Luke, I was afraid of what he'd try.

Marcel climbed into the drivers side, "baby, don't cry."

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

"Don't be," Marcel sighed, reaching over and taking my hand. He rubbed the top of my hand with his thumb, giving me a small smile. I returned the favor and wiped my eyes, holding his hand tightly.

"I'm so afraid of what he'll do, Marcel." I replied.

"Olivia, do you remember when you saved me last year from those guys?" Marcel asked, "the ones who were kicking me and beating me, like, bad."

"Of course, that's the reason we ever got close," I replied with a slight smile.

"You possibly saved my life," Marcel said, squeezing my hand again, "you protected me and helped me through something that scared me, and I will do the same thing for you,"

"Marcel.." I smiled.

"Olivia, you've stuck by me and took me back when I was a complete jerk," Marcel said, giving me look with a pair of sincere eyes, "I will protect you with my life,"

I looked at him, my eyes widened, "Marcel, that's a huge commitment,"

Marcel turned the steering wheel fast, pulling the car over and stopping it completely. We were parked a few blocks from his house. He turned to me, grabbing my face and pulled me into him. Our lips connected in yet another perfect kiss. Ever kiss with Marcel was perfect. He ran his fingers through my hair, soothing me.

We parted and he leaned our foreheads together, "you're my world, you're my passion, you've been my everything for a long time, it just took me awhile to realize it," he said, "I love you more than the stars love the moon, I love you more than Romeo loved Juliet, I love you more than Shaggy loved food, I love you more than anything, I love you and I will protect you no matter what,"

Tears fled down my cheeks, tears of joy. I pressed our lips together again, smiling against his lip and then pulled away, "Marcel, I love you, too,"

"So do you trust me?" He asked, "will you put your life in my hands and let me protect you?"

"Yes, yes of course!" I sobbed.

"No matter what Luke tries, no matter how long it takes, I will protect you, my love." Marcel said, tears spilling down his own face.

"We don't know long that'll take, Marcie," I cried.

"And I don't care," Marcel replied, wiping his eyes with the top of his wrist a bit.

I wiped my eyes, taking ahold of his hand, "Marcel, I-"

"Olivia, will you marry me?" Marcel asked, squeezing his eyes shut.

"What?" I gasped.

"I want to make sure I always have you, you always have me," Marcel exclaimed, "and you are what keeps me grounded, I need you."

I smiled, feeling tears, "Yes, Marcel, of course."

Marcel smiled, "yes of course, what?"

I let tears fall again, tears of happiness, "Yes, I will marry you, after high school."

"Yes, I know, baby." Marcel pressed his lips to mine, "now, let's go for a drive, and get our minds off all of this." he said as he slipped his class ring on my finger.
