Just Another Fairy Tale

*Louis' POV*

On my way to visit Amanda with the lads, girls and Alexis. I pull up at the hospital and let everyone out before I find a parking space. I drive around the parking lot and finally find a spot. I take it before anyone else and run into the hospital. I stop at the front desk.

"Patients name please?" She asks.

"Amanda Cole. I'm with a group of people that went in for the same person." I respond.

"Oh okay, go in sir." She says. I nod and look for her room. I find it and walk straight in.

"Hey Amanda!" I say very loud, but every one shushes me. Including Alexis.

"She's asleep." Alexis points out. I look over at Amanda who is currently using her oxygen mask.

"Oh, sorry." I say. As soon as I scan the very dead looking Amanda, I notice Niall was beside her. Of course. Why do I seem so jealous? I got over her a long time ago. I don't have a crush on her anymore. Jealousy builds up. I want to hold someone like that. But Eleanor and I are too early in a relationship to be doing that. We're not in that stage yet. As for Amanda and Niall, they've been dating for a year and a few months now. They're ready to go to the next level. But being as responsible as they are, they choose not to. Where is my mind going to? A few seconds ago I was talking to myself about being jealous? Now I'm being some crazy weirdo and talking to myself though my mind. What? I got smacked out of my thoughts. Literally. Harry actually smacked the back of my head.

"Louis!" Harry yelled.

"Sorry. Things were running through my head." I say.

"Obviously. You were staring at Amanda and Niall. It was awkward as all of us were trying to knock you out of your thoughts." Eleanor says. They all send me a concerned look.

"What were you thinking?" Niall asks me, stilling stroking Amanda's hair.

"I-I...." I stutter. I decide not to reply and run out of the room.

"Louis!" Eleanor says and follows me.

*Niall's POV*

"Well that was completely unexpected." I whisper causing Amanda to shift. She moves herself closer to me, wrapping her arms around my torso.

"I'm cold." She mumbles, sleepily. I grab the blanket that was pushed to the side and gently place it over us so that we're completely covered.

"Mmm, thank you." She mumbles again.

"No problem." I say. I wrap an arm just above her shoulders.

"Aww. Stop being so cute!" Perrie gushes.

"Shh." I say.

"Oh sorry!" She says. Every laughs.

"Niall." Alexis says and walks up to me.

"What is it, sweetie?" I ask.

"Do you think you could wake her up?" She asks.

"Hmm, that's risky but I'll do it." I say. Just then, Amanda shifts, taking off her oxygen mask.

"Don't bother, I've been awake for about 5 minutes. I couldn't really sleep." Amanda says and sits up.

"Oh hey baby." I say and kiss the left side of her forehead.

"Mmm thanks for remembering." She says.

"Hey there sleepy." Liam says and gives Amanda a hug.

"Hi Liam. Your warm." She giggles.

"Why you so cold? Are you sick or something?" He asks and places a hand on her cheek.

"No I feel fine." She say.

"Good. Want some coffee? Water?" He asks.

"Water would be good thanks." She says. Liam nods and leaves the room

"So, how's your head and the rest of your body?" Zayn asks.

"I totally forgot I got hit on other parts. The doctor says I got minor rib cage damages. They think it's best if I take short walks." Amanda says.

"Have you been doing that?" Zayn asks.

"Yeah, yeah." She replies. We all laugh.

"Amanda!" Alexis says.

"Yes, dear?" Amanda asks.

"I need to ask you something." She says. Amanda nods. Alexis walks over to her and cups her ears, whispering something. Amanda then nods her head gently.

"Will do." She says.

"Promise?" Alexis asks.

"I promise." Amanda says.

"Pinkie promise?" Alexis sticks out her pinkie. Amanda joins her pinkie with Alexis.

"Pinkie promise." She replies.

"Thank you." Alexis hugs her. We all look at Alexis in confusion. The door opens and Liam walks in, holding two cups of coffee and a water bottle.

"Here you go, love." Liam hands Amanda the water bottle.

"Thank you." She says and takes a drink.

"And Niall, I thought you might want some coffee." Liam hands me some coffee.

"Thanks, mate." I say.

"Alexis, snack." Harry says. Alexis runs over to Harry. He hands her a bowl full of some kind of food.

"Pasta!" She says excited. She gobbles it down.

"Slow down there," Tiffany chuckles.

"Oh Amanda, I got you something." Tiffany says.

"Oh, why? You didn't have to." Amanda says.

"I wanted to." Tiffany says and pulls out a small bag. She hands it to Amanda.

"It's kinda for you too, Niall." She says. I watch as Amanda pulls out two shirts. One of them, smaller and says 'Together.' the other one, slightly bigger and says 'Forever' Amanda smiles.

"Aww! Tiffany!" Amanda reaches out and hugs Tiffany.

"Harry and I have the same shirts." She says.

"It's so perfect! Cause you guys are so cute!" Perrie gasps.

"Calm down baby." Zayn says and wraps an arm around Perrie's waist. Just then, the door open and Eleanor walks in with Louis.

"How is he?" Amanda asks.

"I'm fine!" Louis yells, kinda mad.

"Don't yell at her!" I yell back.

"Shut the fuck up!" Louis yells. I was about to stand up and attack him, but Amanda grabs my arm and shakes her head 'no'

"Louis!" Eleanor yells.

"Whatever." Louis mumbles.

"If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." Alexis says.

"Don't swear in front of a six year old girl!" Zayn says.

"Who the fuck gives!?" Louis says, throwing his hands up in the air.

"Louis Tomlinson!" Liam says.

"Your not my father! Don't tell me what to do!" He says.

"This six year old girl knows more manners than you do!" I say. Alexis stands up and walk over to Louis. Louis' expression softens as he notices Alexis was getting on her tippy toe's trying to reach something on Louis. Louis bends down and Alexis cups Louis' ear. She whispers something. Louis nods his head rapidly.

"I promise." He says.

"Thank you." She says and hugs Louis.

"Wow, Alexis has been making quite a lot of promises lately." Amanda giggles.

"We should go now. It's time for Louis to learn his manners." Eleanor says and plants a soft kiss on Louis' lips.

"Shut up." Louis jokes.

"You know you love me." Eleanor giggles.

"And I love you too." She says. I watch as they all leave.

"That was... weird." Amanda says.

"Yeah. So what was that promise with Alexis about?" I ask.

"I cant tell." Amanda says.

"Please?" I beg.

"G'night Niall." Amanda says and lays back down. I sigh and lay back down as well. I wrap my arms around her from behind. I listen to her breathing. So hesitant. She's having trouble breathing again. I quickly reach out for her oxygen mask. I place it over her mouth and nose. I lay back down and listen to her breathing. more fluent. But still slightly hesitant. But, I decide it's better than nothing and pull her closer.

"I love you." I say. Amanda gently removes her oxygen mask.

"I love you more" She says and puts it back on. I place a few kisses on her neck and rest.

But seriously.. what was that promise about?
