Love/Hate

Hayden's P.O.V.

I woke up to Dad knocking on my door, "Wake up, Hayden." I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I climbed out of bed and walked to the bathroom half asleep.

I turned on the lights and looked at myself in the mirror. My eye is slightly swollen and there's a small bruise on my cheek. Damn Dad sure knows how to smack the hell out of someone. I walked back into the room and went to the closet.

I changed out of what I had on yesterday and put this on. I walked over to my full length mirror and put the shades on. I put the hood on and fixed my hair that was showing.

"Hayden, time to go." This time instead of Dad calling it was Mom.

"Coming!!" I looked at myself one last time and walked out of the closet. I grabbed my bag and house keys off the floor and walked out of the room. I walked downstairs and out the front door.

I walked to Dad's car and got in. Mom and him were already in there waiting for me. I put my bag next to me and Dad turned around, "Hayden, I'm sorry for last night...I was out of line."

"Whatever." He turned around and started the car. He pulled out of the driveway and drove off.

*Skip Car Ride*

We got to the school and Dad stopped the car. I opened the door and got out. "Oh yeah Hayden, you're father and I will be picking you up and dropping you off at school for now on."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes."

"Whatever." I grabbed my bag and shut the door. I turned around and saw Harry, Niall, and the rest of the gang standing there. I looked at car and Mom rolled down her window. This can't be happening to me right now.

I flung my bag over my shoulder and quickly walked towards the school. I past them and Louis called out to me, "Hey, Hayden." I walked past them and went straight to my locker.

I opened it and grabbed my math book. Harry came up to me and leaned against the lockers, "What can I do for you Harry?" I turned my head away from him so he wouldn't see my face.

"Can I see your face at least?"

"I don't think...that's uh...a good idea." I touched my face gently and closed my eyes. I lowered my hand and closed my locker, "Gotta go, bye."

I began to walk away but Harry walked in front of me and stopped me, "Hayden, what's wrong?" I kept my head DOEN and looked at the floor hoping he'd leave it alone...but he didn't.

He lifted my head and took off my hoodie. He removed the shades from my face and looked at me, "Who did this to you?" He lifted his thumb and brushed it slightly across my cheek.

"After you left, I gotten into an argument with my Dad and he hit." Harry looked at my cheek and then at my eye.

"You're Dad is right....you shouldn't see me any more."

"What?! Why?"

"Because I don't want him to do this to you because of me." He walked past me and began to walk away.

"So this is just the end?" He slowly turned around and looked at me. I felt myself want to cry, but I was too angry to even let the tears form. "Fine....have a good rest of your day Harry."

I turned around and walked away leaving him standing there. I may be a angry at him, but I do understand where he's coming from. If this happened to him because of me I would do the exact same thing.

Harry's P.O.V.

Hayden walked away and I stood there speechless. I only want what's best for her that's it. I walked back outside to the others and they all looked at me. Ash walked up to me and I looked at her, "Well?"

"She gotten an argument with her father and he hit her. So, I did the reasonable thing....I did what her father told her to do."

Niall walked over to me and touched my shoulder, "And what would that be?" I looked at him and he had a straight face.

"She can't see me again." I looked at him and smile slightly spread across his face.

"I'm sorry...truthfully." I looked at him in the eyes and saw lies. I turned around and walked away. "Come on, Harry." He took my shoulder and I lost it.

I turned around and punched him across the face. "Don't fucking touch me." He fell down and held his face. He got up and charged at me angrily. He launched himself on me sending the both of us backwards.

He got on top of me and punched me across my face repeatedly. I tried to get my arms to him to get him off me. People inside the school came out and watched us fight. I hit him on the arm and he pinned my arms down.

He punched me with his free hand and I squirmed while I got hit. He hit me in the eye and I laid my head back. I saw Hayden come through the crowd and see what was going on.

Seeing her face somehow got my strength back. I kneed him in the balls and got up. He tumbled backwards and I rushed over to him. I picked him up and punched him across the face. He doubled over and I walked over to him.

I bent down and picked him back up. He punched me in the balls and I fell down. He got up and kneed me in the fucking face. I held my jaw and looked at him. He walked over to me and I tackled his ass to the ground.

I got on top of him and punched him repeatedly to the head. Zayn, Louis, and Liam all pushed through the crowd and pulled me off him. Lou held me back while Zayn and Liam held Niall back. Lou pushed me back and looked at me, "Harry, stop!!"

I ignored him and continued trying to get Niall. Hayden rushed in front of me and moved Lou out of the way, "I got this, Lou." He stepped to the side and she looked at me. "Stop, Harry." She took off her sunglasses and looked at me.

I stopped and looked at her. Niall continued trying to get out to me, but I kept on looking at her. "What the fuck is your problem?" That question got me angry again.

"What the fuck is MY problem? MY problem was and is YOUR consistent flirting with Hayden while we were dating." I looked at her and saw tears form in her eyes. I turned back to Niall and he finally stop trying to get to me.

"You are my friend and you tried to get my girlfriend to cheat on me. Not mention that you were still with Ashleigh, a girl who didn't deserve your bullshit." His face softened and I continued, "You kept kissing her and Ashleigh, KNOWING I WAS FUCKING FALLING IN LOVE WITH HAYDEN. But you didn't care did you....DID YOU?!!"

I looked at him angrily and he pushed Zayn and Liam off him. He walked over to me and got in my face, "Yeah...I did because I loved her first. The first day she came to this school I like her, and I screwed that up because I was fucking confused. Not anymore I kissed her hoping she dump your cheating ass for me."

"Alright, I cheated one FUCKING time. You cheated on Ash more than once with a taken girl...taken by ME!!" I smirked in his face and he got angry. He backed away and looked at me still angry.

"You know it's funny because the night I took her home from Ashleigh's party she said something to me." Hayden walked up to him and grabbed his arm.

"Please, don't."

He ripped his arm away from her and looked at me, "She said that I was the best boyfriend ever." She looked at me and I felt like the world drop on me like a ton of bricks. She ran over to me and tried to grabbed my hand, but I moved it away from her. "That's not all. When we were watching a movie together I wound up kissing her and she DIDN'T even stop me."

My heart ached as I remembered that night I found them in her room. She grabbed my hand and I looked at her, "He's lying, Harry." I looked at her and felt tears start to from in my eyes. I removed my hand from hers and walked over to him.

"You wanted to break me...you got it. We're no longer friends and I really hope that you and her have an amazing life." I turned around and walked past the both of them into the school. People moved out of my way and I headed to my hide out spot.
