Love/Hate

Hayden's P.O.V.

I got home just as the storm began clearing up and the sun started shining. I parked the car and got out. I grabbed my bag from the floor and flung it over my shoulder. I closed the door and walked up the walkway to the front door.

Mom said she had to go take the twins to a dentist appointment, so I came home by myself. I unlocked the door and walked inside. I dropped my bag on the floor and walked into the kitchen. I opened the freezer and took out a pint of chocolate ice cream.

I walked upstairs to my room and closed the door. "Let's see if Kaitlyn is doing anything." I walked over to my bed and sat down sloppily. I picked up my laptop off the nightstand and turned it on waiting impatiently for it to turn on.

It turned down and I went start to Skype. I logged in and clicked on her name, which of course, is the first one on the list. She immediately answered which took me by surprise. "HAYDEN!!!"

I covered my ears and smiled at her. She stopped screaming my name and I slowly removed my hands from my ears. "You finished?"

"Yes."

"Alright, now I've got some good news for you.....I HAVE A NEW BOYFRIEND!!!" She didn't smile at the news which confused me, "What's wrong?"

"Oh nothing, it's just I was hoping one day you and Luke maybe get back together."

What the hell? She knows I would NEVER get back together with Luke after what he did. I looked at her and the blood in my body began to boil, "How could say that?"

"What?! It's not like it's a bad thing."

"He FUCKING hit me MULTIPLE times AND on top of that he fucking cheated on me TWICE." I tried to control breathing because I feel like I'm going to explode, literally, at any moment.

Her softened a little bit and tears began forming in her eyes, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I was scared...I was scared that if I told anyone he would hurt me again." She looked at me and I could see the guilt in her eyes.

"I'm SO sorry." She wiped her eyes and I felt even luckier to have her as my best friend.

"On another note my new boyfriend is hot." She looked at me and laughed. Now that's what I want to see a very bubbly goofy girl from Florida.

"Really? What's his name? What does he look like?"

"His name is Harry. He has brown curly hair with green eyes....oh....and he has dimples that show when he smiles." I smiled at the thought of Harry and how much he means to me. I looked at her and she frowned at me, "What? What's wrong?"

"Hayden, you're talking about Harry Styles from One Direction. That boy band I told you I loved. He's part of it along with four other guys. They are actually pretending to be in high school for this year so they could re-live how it was."

"W-what?" I looked at her and nodded sadly. I'm dating a guy who's famous and didn't have the decency to tell me about it. "Uh....Kaitlyn....I'll talk to you tomorrow." I signed off and closed the laptop. I pushed it off me and looked straight ahead at the wall.

Has everything been a lie then? Did he just do this for publicity or something? I quickly climbed out of bed and ran over to my bag on the other side of the room. I picked up and dug all the inside for my phone. I found it and called his number.

After three rings he picked up, "Hello?" I could hear laughter on the other side which made me eve angrier.

"Hey, Harry.What are you doing?"

"Oh. School just ended so we're all going to the park." Everything the background became silent, which freaked me out slightly. "Why?"

"Just wondering."

"Oh, you can come if you want."

"Sure." I hung up and rushed straight to my closet. I rambled through my clothes looking for something when I found a dress and Jean jacket.

I slipped out of the wet clothes and change into it. I walked out the closet and grabbed my skateboard when I heard the front door open. I could hear Mom arguing with the twins about something.

"Hayden?!" I quickly rushed over to the window and opened it all the way. I set the board down off the floor and climbed out first to make it easier. "Hayden?!" I grabbed the board and closed the window shut.

I cautiously climbed the tree when I heard my bedroom door open. Picnicking, I quickened my pace before she got to the window. I got down the tree and jumped to the ground. I tuck the board under my arm and ran straight past our house and Niall's looking back to see if she caught me.

When I knew the coast was clear and hopped on my board and skated to the park.

I got to the park and saw Ashleigh's car parked next to three other cars and a motorcycle. I scanned the park looking for them when I spotted them in the big empty field. I rushed over to them when Liam spotted me, "Hayden!!" I ran over to him and he gave me a hug.

"Hey, Liam." I pulled away and saw Harry play soccer with the rest of the boys with shirtless and Ashleigh doing what ever with the girls. I looked at Liam and frowned slightly, "Why aren't you with them?" I could see his expression change so I guess he doesn't want to talk about it.

"Babe!!!" I turned around and Harry ran over to me with a smile on his face. He picked me and spun me around as if it we're something out a movie. He put me down and looked at me, "Hey, you want to play with me and the guys?"

"No, I'm good."

He leaned forward and whispered into my ear. "I understand... you can't handle it." He turned around and walked back to the guys.

He did not just go there. I bent down and picked up some of the growing, and I threw it at him hitting him in the back. He stop dead in his track and turned around.

"No, you did not just do that." I nodded proudly like a child and he picked up some mud in his hand. I ran away causing him to chase after me.

I ran past the boys and waved at them. They all waved back and I quickened my pace. I kept turning around constantly to make he was still behind me. I turned around and he wasn't there anymore. I stopped running and began scanning the field for him.

"BOO!!!" I turned around only to be face to face with me. He lifted his hand and smiled at me, "Please, don't."

I continued looking at her and lowered my hand, "Fine." He backed away and I sighed in relief. I closed her eyes and felt mud hit my chest. I opened my eyes and looked at him. He started laughing hysterically so I decided to punk him.

I started sniffing loudly and I stopped laughing and looked at me, "Babe?" He wrapped my arms around me and gave me a hug.

I pulled away and hit me with the rest of the mud on my hand. He looked at me stunned and I began running away again in the opposite direction. Before she could get far from him, he picked me up and put me over his shoulder.

"Harry." He walked towards the others with me on his shoulder, "Put me down." He continued walking and I started kicking.

"Apologize first, for hitting me with mud."

"Fine, I'm sorry." He put me down and I looked at him.

He leaned forward to give me a kiss, but the others began making disgusted noises. We looked at them and Ash put her hands up, "STOP!! We don't want to see you guys kiss."

"Then don't look.!!" I leaned forward and kissed him causing the others to groan and over exaggerate. I pulled away and looked at Harry while laughing at them. Even though, I'm upset with him because of him not telling me he's famous I can't ruin a moment like this.
