Chapter Twenty Four

Georgia's POV

It was my turn. Everyone else had gone, but every time someone came from his room, they would say he asked for me. Georgia.

"Hey, Ni," I say as I enter the room. He's hooked up to I.Vs and whatever the heck the rest is. He looks up and smiles.

"Hey Georgia," he says warmly. Then he frowns.

"What is it, Niall?"

"I'm sorry, Georgia," he states blankly. I can see the bandage wrapped around his neck. It's bloody. I think he's disoriented right now.

"No, I'm sorry Niall."

"No, Georgia. I shouldn't have invaded your space and I know it's wrong and I shouldn't have taken your box and-"

"really, Niall. It's okay. Really," I put my hand over his, squeezing it slightly.

"Okay," he says. I sit down in a chair.

"So I met this little girl. She's an orphan. Her name is key, she's nine. She's really beautiful, Niall. I bet you'll love her. And she loves you," I say. I smile at the thought.

"Hold on a sec," I say and leave his room.

"Hey, Key," I say and wave her over. She bounds near me. "You wanna see him?"

She looks at me with her eyes widened to the size of a watermelon! She nods furiously.

When we get into the room she looks at Niall, sitting in a bed. She covers her mouth and looks like she's about to cry again.

"Hi, Key. How are you," Niall says. He smiles at her, and she steps cautiously over to him.

"I'm doing okay. you're not, though," she says. I smile, still in the doorway, at the two. The man- a child at heart, and the girl- a mature nine year old. Should be the opposite.
