A New Direction

"Hello, Los Angeles! I'm here with One Direction for their 'Important Announcement' that they've had us waiting for, forever! Boys, would you like to voice your announcement now?" Vivika Sorano put the microphone towards the boys' mouths. They each exchanged a few glances, wondering if they truly were going through with this. Liam was the first to step up.

"We just want all our amazing Directioners to know we love them and thank you for sticking by our sides, but..." He trailed off, afraid to say the words aloud, even though they had all discussed this for a while. Niall took over for him.

"We're ending One Direction." He opened his mouth to speak again but chatter and gasps overshadowed the cutie's voice. "If you guys could just listen for a moment!" He said, louder. The critics and reporters didn't understand how brokenhearted the boys and their fans were. But all good things must come to an end and the boys felt it was time for them to settle down.

"Hey! Can you all just listen to what we have to say for a moment?" The room hushed in dead silence. No one had expected quiet, mysterious Zayn to step up and raise his voice.

"What do you have to say on the matter, Mr. Malik?" Another reporter asks, thrusting a microphone in his face.

"I, personally, think it's time to start thinking about the rest of our lives. We," He looked around at all the boys who had become his brothers over the years, "won't be famous forever. It's a pain having everything in the spotlight... who you date... who you marry... what color shoes you're wearing! We think, and we've discussed this a lot, that it's time for One Direction to approach it's end." Lou stepped up and put an arm around Zayn's shoulders.

"We'll still be brothers... and in our hearts we're One Direction... but the fame part, we're giving up on. It's time we took a break for us and found ourselves... and maybe do a few things we couldn't do while being famous. I mean, I'd love to be able to walk down the street and not be mobbed by toddlers screaming 'KEVIN' and throwing stuffed pigeons at me." The crowd gave a soft laugh, even though the news had dimmed everyone's mood.

"It's been a great ride, but it's time for us to step out of the spotlight. Maybe some other blokes can pick up our luck." Harry said as the closing statement. They declared no more questions and walked down the red carpet, giving up the final piece of their fame.

Niall moved to the US and met a special young lady.

Harry continued his womanizing until he settled down.

Liam found his special young lady but later moved to Australia for reasons unknown.

Louis became a talk show host and he and Eleanor had a daughter.

Zayn and Perrie went on another honeymoon and bought a new mansion.
