Chapter 43
Niall's POV
Last night was a fail. I couldn't bring myself to go and talk to her. She was probably with that other guy anyway.
I woke up to the speaker. "We are now docked in Miami. Feel free to power on your cell phones and electronics. The buffet is still open for breakfast and----" I zoned out and got up. I brushed my teeth and felt slow. I didn't do my hair, I just slapped on a snap back and dressed in sweats and a tshirt. Had no reason to look nice, or feel nice at that. I was going to head down to baggage claim when I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. I looked out of the hole and saw that it was Max.
He stopped at Hannah's door and knocked.
"Come on, Hannah! Mom's ready to go so we can beat traffic." He banged on the door.
"I'm coming!" I heard her open the door and it closed again.
Now was my chance!
I walked out into the hallway but only Max stood there at the closed door.
"Hey." I said.
He just nodded up at me.
"Do you think I could talk to her for a few?" I put my hands in my pockets.
"No, we have to go." He started to walk past me. Then I thought about it, it was already 12. I needed to be on my way too, my flight was scheduled to take off at 2.
I sighed and looked at Max walking down the hallway. "What can I do?" I said to him. Couldn't believe I was asking a TWELVE year old for advice, but she was his sister.
He turned. "We don't have time to talk but if I were you I would try to make it right with her before we leave. You literally have 2 minutes."
"That's enough."
I went into my room to grab my small bag of things and head out to walk out with them.
Hannah's POV
I heard Max talking to someone but I couldn't tell who. I hurried and got my things and hobbled out of the room. The hallway was completely empty. I started to run to catch up to Max who was at the elevators. I caught him and we rode down to the lobby and met up with Mom and Dad.
We all walked out together and into baggage claim.
I sighed, I didn't get to say goodbye to anyone.
Then one by one they all started to show up. I saw Valerie, Angela, and Krista, I hugged them and we exchanged numbers. Then, Austin, I barely made eye contact. And then, Chord, and Tyler, and the rest. I hugged all of them and we exchanged numbers.
I was honestly going to miss them so damn much! I didn't see Niall at all.
I looked around to find my luggage but couldn't find it.
Niall's POV
When I got out to the hallway I didn't see anyone. I ran so fast to the elevators to get to the lobby. They couldn't be gone yet, could they?
I ran to baggage claim but it was so crowded. I passed by the gang who was hugging and telling each other goodbye. As I started to look around I saw Paul. He was waiting for me with my luggage.
I walked over to him. "Come on, we have to get to the airport."
"I can't leave yet!" I said to him.
"What do you mean? You have to be on your plane in less than two hours and we still have to go through bag checks and lines and----"
"I can't!" I said and looked down at my things. I snatched up my guitar and started to run around.
Hannah's POV
I still couldn't find my luggage! It had been ten minutes and mom was starting to get restless.
I finally just gave up and sat down to wait.
Niall's POV
There she is! I spotted her and nearly fell trying to shove people out of the way.
"HANNAH!" I yelled and she stood up to look. I got to her and we just stood face to face for a while.
Hannah's POV
His face was completely red, he looked like he had just gotten done writing a marathon.
But besides that, he looked amazing.
"I can't even begin to say how sorry I am!" He said, his eyes worried.
"It's okay." I said, I just wanted us to at least be friends now.
"No! It's not. I messed up bad. I know I didn't listen to you when you were trying to explain but I hope you'll listen to me. I---"
"Listen to me now, then." I said, and he was quiet. "I lied because I didn't want you to think of me as just a fan. I honestly didn't think we would have gone through what we did so in the beginning it didn't seem all that important. I'm not looking for forgiveness, I just want us to be okay." I said.
"Okay?" He looked confused.
"Yeah. I don't want us to leave mad at each other."
"Hannah, there's no way that could happen." he stepped closer. "Forget everything that happened. I want this, right here, right now."
He stared into my eyes and then suddenly began to pull his guitar strap over his shoulder. He started to play but then I kissed him. He kissed me back, and then I realized how much I had missed that kiss.
"I love you." He looked at me and then took off the guitar to hug me.
"I love you too!" I said and hugged him back.
Everything seemed right.
Niall's POV
I couldn't believe this had happened. It finally turned out okay. "Hannah?"
"Yes."
"Niall! We gotta go!" Paul said behind me. He started to pack away my stuff. "Now!" He said and started to grab me.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I said picking up my stuff.
"Yes!" She smiled.
"Alright, let's go." Paul said.
Hannah's face changed, I thought she was going to cry.
"I'll be back for you." I hugged her and whispered in her ear.
"Haha, quoting your own song?" She laughed and I looked at her, she had actually started to cry.
I giggled and then hugged her again.
I saw that Paul was headed toward the door with my bags.
I kissed her again and then started to walk away.
Hannah's POV
I wiped my eyes and watched him leave.
Niall's POV
I got into the car and we started to drive away. Once we got to the airport, I felt torn.
We were almost to the baggage check line, I stopped walking.
There was no way I was leaving her behind.
